Was very surprised with the standard of this Hotel. It has been upgraded to 4 star level and I can see why. A short taxi ride to the city centre or a 15 minute walk. Would go back as got a great price on www.hotelsinone.ie There is great value for Irish Hotels at the moment. Went to Dublin for a GAA game so location was good as well. The area looks like it is going to be the new place to hang out in Dublin soon.

My wife and i stayed 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis arriving on a Friday evening.

From Dublin airport by taxi costs 30 euros (an air link bus to o`connell street is 5 euros each) the hotel is only a 10 min max walk from the bus station and easy to find you cross the river turn left and keep walking, there is a taxi rank right outside the bus depot if walking is an issue.

The hotel is in an area of major re development, there is a lot of building work going on, the sound proofing in the hotel is excellent once inside you could not hear a thing.

From entering the hotel we were met by very friendly staff who were very helpful and the concierge was a mine of information providing a good map of Dublin and loads of places to go.

The hotel is approx 1 year old and is of a very high standard, the bedroom was larger than average and immaculately clean, the cleaning staff clean the room daily again to a very high standard which is very important to us.

Breakfast is to die for, a full Irish (as much as you can eat) as well as fruit and numerous healthy options. the staff are polite and chatty taking time to ask about your stay and also giving their recommendations for places to go.

The complimentary use of the leisure suite is a bonus the pool, sauna, steam room and cardio room were of the highest quality and standard i have seen.

Out and about from the hotel there is plenty to do, there is a traditional Irish pub right on the corner, there is a rapid transit train two streets away for one euro 30 cent this will take you into the heart of Dublin.

I believe this hotel has a 3 star rating, it was as good as some of the 5 star hotels we have stopped in.

The only down side is the located on at the time of this time of re development but we did not find this an issue.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants "quality" at a very reasonable price.

New hotel still completing some building work when we were there, but hotel still very nice, about 10 minute walk from the city centre but you wouldn’t really want to walk to it as the hotel is surrounded by building work .But its quiet in the hotel.

Bed rooms A+, breakfast was fantastic .We stayed in the hotel a couple of evenings but the food wasn’t as good .

We had children with us and they just wanted pizza and hamburgers but you could only order them on room service, I could go to my room and order it and sit down in the lobby and eat it but not order it from the lobby bar !!!

As there isn’t much to do in the evening with children in Dublin because you cant bring them in to bars after 9, we picked this hotel for their leisure centre ( but and this wasn’t advertised on the net ) children couldn’t use the facilities after 5pm .We went shopping and also to the zoo during the day so after that they wanted to swim when we get back to the hotel but couldn’t. This rule applied at the weekends as well.7 pm like most hotels would have been a better time for children to use the pool.

The hotel could also have done with some sort of entertainment in the evening as you wouldn’t walk to the city at night from the hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend staying there if you had children.
