My husband and I have have been to Paphos four times and each time stayed in one of these brilliant Constantinou Hotels. We stayed at the Athena Royal last August 2009 and are going back there next year 2011. Its absolutely faultless. If your looking for peace and quite... more

Absolutely fabulous hotel!!! The staff were marvellous from the cleaners to the hotel manager who had a hands on approach and was seen everywhere. We had a sea view room and it was lovely. The food was excellent and the head chef was always in attendance. Breakfasts were... more

My husband & I stayed here 7-21 July & we'll be back! We feel it's definitely a good 4*. We wanted a child-free hol, as our 2 are old enough to look after themselves, & now just come with us at Xmas time. No doubt, in a few years (hopefully quite a few!) we'll be doing the... more

Excellent Honeymoon. I and my husband spent 2 weeks at The Athena Royal (From the 30th sept 07). Beware the weather was very hot, nearly 40 degrees! The hotel itself is only 20 minutes on the coach away. The check in was quick and a porter takes your luggage to the room.... more

We have just returned from the Athena Royal having spent two fabulous weeks there, we did not want to come home. The hotel is faultless, it is immaculate, the food is wonderful, (be prepared to put on the pounds!) and best of all it is so relaxing. A place to totally chill... more

Truly relaxing, friendly hotel with a no under 16s policy. Perfect for peace and quiet. Emailed the hotel before we left the UK re possibility of upgrading to a sea view on arrival, this was well worth the extra money. Walking distance to restaurants and a bus stop outside... more

Lovely Hotel.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel from the 11th of June last for one week and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed on a half board basis which was excellent, great variety of food and excellent quality. People we met who were also staying at this hotel but on a bed and breakfast basis also opted to pay for dinner because of the superb quality, you just couldn't eat out at the same price. If you did wish to eat out there were plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The local bus which stops... more
A genuine 4 star
This fairly new hotel is a genuine 4 star, The bedroom and bath room were well finished but smallish and could have been fitted with more storage / cupboard space. However that does not detract from the overall ambience of good service levels from friendly and efficient staff. We only had breakfast in the hotel and there was a lack of fresh fruit but otherwise the range and quality was good. There are many bars and restaurants nearby, some of which are of surprisingly good quality. The hotel manager often walked through the... more
Beautiful hotel
We have just returned after a two week stay and just wanted to say that this has got to be the best hotel along this stretch of coast. It's only two years old, so everything is still sparkling like new. As there are no children it was very peaceful compared to others - just what we wanted. However, if you're looking for good entertainment, there isn't any, apart from a duo who perform in the bar most evenings. I gather from talking to others that none of the hotels have much to other, as most people tend to go to the bars by the harbour... more
OK for the more mature of us
Hubby and I have just returned from 4 nights at this destination. We booked this through Thomson and probably much of our rating reflects the poor service we received (or did not receive) from Thomson whilst at this resort. The hotel is ok as far as decor and cleanliness is concerned. Its interior is more modern than reflects the actual majority age group of guests. Being in our early 30's we were by far the youngest here by a clear 30 yr difference and as such the hotel is catered to reflect their needs. It was peaceful... more
Good....but not 4* deluxe
I use trip advisor reviews for all the hotels I stay in and this is the first one I have felt the reviews didn't quite meet our experience so I felt obliged to write! We stayed at this hotel whilst in Paphos for a friends wedding. The hotel is advertised in several brochures as 4* deluxe and whilst we didn't have any major specific complaints about the hotel I certainly felt it lacked anything special to distinguish it as luxury 4 star hotel. The rooms weren't large and pretty standard but were fine, clean and had all the basics... more
Early To Rise
My wife and I at The Athena Royal Beach Hotel Paphos last week March. (not to be confused with the Athena Beach Hotel located next door) The Hotel is 2 years old and very nice. Its 4 star rating is correct. Travelled with Thomson Holidays. Firstly I do not recommend using them. The Plane we flew on was very old. Rep did not hold meetings in this hotel which ment if you wanted to go to the welcome meeting you had to go next door. Main problem with Hotel was being woken up 6 days out of the 7 by noise from within the Hotel Grounds. Firstly... more
Second to None
We had just got married and this was our Honeymoon and it felt just like a Honeymoon complex (No children!) On our arrival we were greeted by the concierge offering to take our luggage. Into the great marble entrance lobby we entered towards a friendly reception area. Unfortunatley we were not able to get an upgrade (though as the honeymoon went on we realised we didnt need it!) Friendly staff offered to show us to our room. When we got to our room there were balloons and a message on the door with compliments of the... more
Watch The Waistline!
An exellent hotel with very good facilities, 3 outdoor and 1 indoor pool. Gym, sauna rooms, steam baths, and spa treatment rooms. Finish inside is very good and rooms are good. The Breakfasts are to die for. Anyone who is not entirely satisfied with the huge choice available coupled with the quality must have problems. Half board is all you need , otherwise you will be adding an inch per week to the waistline.. You have been warned.
Loved the Athena royal
Both my Girlfriend and I were very impressed with the hotel and the staff. Both modern and clean a very relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of bars and places to eat throughtout the day very near the hotel (in the square), and the bus stops right outside the hotel which can take you around paphos. We are in out mid 20's and while the hotel guests are are mainly more maturer (40's upwards) that wasn't an issue, esspecialy if you don't want kids running arround and screaming. There are new bars and shops opening opposite the hotel this year so the... more
