Luxurious room, great beachfront location
from kendyOntario
Our room was beautiful with a great view of the pool & ocean. The buffet breakfast was wonderful. Lots of hot & cold dishes. The pool was very large. The location, right on the beach was perfect for catching the water taxi. The bus stop to town was 1 minute away. The service staff were very helpful & friendly. The only ATM machine is in town!
lovely location and atmosphere

We stayed at the petinos beach hotel in june 2006. The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The service was very good, lovely breakfast, beautiful views and very clean. recommend staying in the junior suite with sea view. The front desk clerk Adonis is a huge asset to the hotel and was full of good recommendations and suggestions of what to do during our stay in mykonos. I would be more than happy to visit the hotel again.
The Best!!!!

Australian family. Husband wife and 20 yr old daughter. This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff are amazing starting from your welcome. The breakfast has an incredible selection and all you have to do is look up and Andreas is filling your cup with coffee. The views from all rooms are breath taking. The rooms are immaculate, bathrooms lush with double sinks and jacuzzi. Day trips by boat leave from directly in front and travel in to Mykonos Town is only 1 Euro. For nightlife there are many reasonable cheap restaurants and Paradise Beach (comes alive with dance parties from 5pm) is a short boat trip away or you can walk.We loved every minute, nothing was too much trouble. We will definately return.
A lovely hotel, great view, friendly & efficient staff.

We booked the Petinos Beach Hotel room with a sea view and that's exactly what we got. Room 214 with a big balcony. The room was spacious and furnished attractively and looked like the one on the web site infact our room was a better shape than the web site room. There were complimentary bath robes, bedroom slippers, beach towels which were changed daily, and the towels in the bathroom were changed twice a day. The bed was a large king size and sheets were changed often. Shampoo, soap, body lotion in the bathroom and tissues in the bedroom. Hotel staff friendly and pleasant. Small supermarket just below the hotel, so handy for water etc. The hotel also picked us up from the airport which we had not expected and took us back (another plus). The hotel could not have had a better location for the beach just a few steps across the road and you were there. Free sunbeds if you had refreshments from the host taverna, which was no hardship. Waiter service to your sunbed as well. Just a few steps and into the clear water of the sea. Don't take high heals for the tavernas on an evening because you have to walk on the sand to get to them as they are literally on the beach (well a few steps up). But it was lovely on a night sitting looking out to the sea as you had your meal. Bus to the town just up the road and this ran half hourly, literally a 10/12 minute journey and either the bus or a taxi back. Taxis were cheap approx 6 Euros one way. We had a very relaxing holiday and a lovely time.
Fantastic

We stayed at the Petinos Beach Hotel for only two nights and had a great time. Although we got off to a wrong start since they had overbooked the room I had booked, which was a double with a seaside view, they gave us a junior suite instead! Since they knew I was mad that we would have to change rooms, they reduced the price of our rooms too! On the second night when we moved into the double room, we were pleanstly suprised. Although it didn't pale in comparison to the junior suite (wonderful room, it is on line with the Shearaton we stayed in Porto, Portugal), it was a nice room with a great view overlooking the whole beach. The hotel front desk clerk, Addionas was great. He helped us out with everything. Even after we had checked out, and we weren't taking thier free shuttle to the port to catch our ferry back to Athens, he had arranged for us to take showers in their spa and brought us many towels and bath products. I would stay here again!
Had an Enjoyable Stay

We stayed at the Petinos Beach Hotel in October just as the season was ending. Our room was nice and clean. The employees were always very helpful and nice. It was across the street from the beach, which we really enjoyed as we had just spent 2 weeks sight seeing in Italy and were exhausted. There was a little store at the hotel as well as another store down on the beach so you could get sodas or beer for a very reasonable price (although you must purchase something from some of the restaurants to sit on their chairs on the beach or pay a fee). We ate dinner at the Petinos restaurant a couple of times and the food was good. Their Greek night is a must see. The place was packed and everyone had a great time. Gallup Restaurant (next door to the Petinos restaurant) has fantastic food. Their vegetable soup is a cream soup laced with sour cream and tastes great. The one thing we suggest is not to drink their house wine. It wasn't very good so on our second visit we ordered a bottle of wine. I know a lot of people had problems with this hotel and we were very worried as these reviews weren't posted until after we'd already reserved our room. We were lucky that it was the off season so we got what we paid for. They also graciously moved us to another room as our original room was under the dining room and was VERY NOISY in the mornings. If you want to have eggs with your breakfast, you need to get there early as once they've been eaten, the do not refill the pan. I don't know if I'd take the chance booking here during the busy season, but during the off season it was a great place to stay.
Fabulous!!

Adonis - the gentleman at reception was extremely helpful, so was Georgia who was on the night shift. Anything we asked for we got...... We loved our room, it was one of the best amongst all our travels over Europe, beside the pool. The local restraurants were fantastic and transport very accessible into the city - we will definitely be back at Petinos in Mykonos.
Enjoyed the stay

I was a little worried when I first got there because we heard about guests being moved to the sister hotel but that didn't happen to us. Maybe because we went during mid season (which I think is the best time to travel to Greece to avoid the crowd). The hotel is situated next to/on the beach. There are a bunch of restaurants along the beach so you don't have to worry about going hungry. Usually if you haev lunch in one of hte restaurants, they allow you to use the lounge chairs for free. Otherwise (like all the ohter beaches) you would have to pay for lounge chairs. The hotel itself has lounge chairs but htey're beside the pool, not on the beach. The hotel services were good. We called the day before to tell them which ferry we were taking and they were very prompt in coming to pick us up. This was also true for leaving Mykonos. The maid came in twice daily to clean room and change beach towels for us. The beach @ Platys Gialos was nice. I didn't think Paradise/Super paradisse was that much nicer. I think the beaches in Santorini were much better though (since they have the red/black beaches). It was very easy to get to Mykonos town (where most of the shopping and dining take place). The hotel is only a few minutes walking distance away from the bus stop and it comes every half an hour. THe bus ride is about 10 minutes and it'll get you to Mykonos town. You just have to buy bus tickets from the mini market before you get on the bus.
Watch out for the Bait & Switch Con at Petinos Beach Hotel

I made online reservations for a great looking hotel in Mikonos, Greece. The website showed the hotel right on the beach with very nice looking rooms. It boasted of breakfast by the pool and Internet access. It turns out... Not to be on the Beach. No Internet access. No breakfast by the pool. AND to top it all off! They shipped us to one of their other hotels. They stated that we hadn't in fact made a reservation for the "Petinos Beach Hotel," just the Petinos Hotel Complex. Not true. When I was able to finally show them how I wade the reservation they stated that they wouldn’t honor my reservation, because it was a mistake. Near the end of our stay of 9 days there before heading off to Santorini, the hotel owner asked why I hadn't come to dinner more than once to his restaurant. I told him I wouldn't spend another dime supporting his fraudulent enterprise. He told me in front of other guests that he hated Americans and to never return. We won't.
Nice place to stay

I stayed for 3 nights at the Petinos Beach Resort and found it to be pleasant. Great location on the beach and a bus stop outside the hotel so you can easily get about. I booked a twin room as I was travelling with a friend and they tried to put us in a double room, reading other reviews about the hotel it seems this is a common thing. The rooms were basic, and had no airconditioning, which was definitely needed. If I visited Mykonos again I would consider staying at Petinos Beach again, it is a nice place to stay for the money.

I reserved the hotel online, through Expedia, for 9 days at a rate of 71.00 US a night. When I arrived, I was shuffled off to a second hotel and was told that I did not make the reservation for the Petinos Beach Hotel, but instead for the Petinos Hotel Resort Complex. I... more
