Beware the BURNT toast

We had an ABSOLUTE awesome time in MALTA but not because of the hotel stay. Our room was VERY tired, the beds were not VERY comfortable, the bathroom very small and the welcoming drinks were NOT very welcoming. We enjoyed our breakfasts except strangely, the toast was always burnt! The location of the hotel was very handy. Close to a bus stop into Valetta and close by to plenty of shops and restaurants. There was a very DELICIOUS indian restaurant about a 10 minute walk away. Don't get caught out on the currency!!
Very friendly hotel

I have stayed here several times over the years. It is a clean and well run hotel with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. It is well placed for most parts of the island. The food does lack imagination on occasions but that did not detract from my stay. I have recommended iot to others who have all given positive feedback.
Convenient Location, Great Views

We chose this hotel for its location based on reviews in Tripadvisor. Travelling in Winter meant we weren't bothered about an outdoor pool (which the hotel doesn't have). We had a seaview room on the fourth floor and it was a super view - uninterrupted views of Valletta and the harbour. Staff were very friendly. area nice. hotel clean but drastically let down by the food, and i am NOT a fussy eater. spoilt my holiday, will not be returning to this hotel.
Great Location

Location is very central for getting around Malta. Staff very friendly and helpful, accomodation is comfortable but nothing to write home about. Let down really by the food. Very bland. Quantities not very generous either! Would I go again? - probably!!!!

I had a great time staying here. The location is excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. I stayed on a BB basis and the breakfast served its purpose although was nothing fantastic. The room I had did not have a view, unless you count the shaft! However, it was clean, excellent air conditioning and fab shower which I think is more important. Location, location location!

Just back from my second trip to Malta in less than a year. Both times I've stayed at the Marina Hotel and would definitely do so again, just for the location and value. When you consider you can get a room with private seaview balcony and breakfast for about $60/night AND be close to one of the major bus stops and across from the marvelous seafront promendade, I'd say that's a good deal. Great Hotel, lovely people

Had a great holiday at the Marina. Two out of the four of us are vegetarians and the chef prepared two vegetarian meals every night especially for us. The staff treated us like long lost family and made us feel very welcome. The owner eats in the hotel restaurant most nights which says something. Views across the harbour to Valetta are excellent and we had excellent views of the Festa fireworks!

I booked the Marina Hotel, Sliema seafront over the internet after looking at loads of hotels and I wasn't disappointed! It's in a great location overlooking sliema seafront (We had a superior seaview room). The hotel itself is very clean as the maids change your beds and clean the room every morning, with two kids that was a must! The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. The Marina Hotel could use a few touch-ups, but it's a pretty good hotel with great views of the marina and Valletta. We stayed there off an on for a total of 6 nights and it was perfect because it is right in front of the marina where you can catch a ferry to Valletta or take various day cruises.
