Hotel Agrabella

On the 22nd of September we took a flight from Bournemouth airport to Crete, arriving at 3.00am. local time, it took another 2hrs 45 minutes to reach our hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we were met with a hotel in darkness, and your rep: Graham, groped his way into the hotel to put the lights on. This so called 3 star Plus hotel was booked online with Thomas Cook. Our flights were altered after booking and we arrived there exhausted at 5.30 am after a two hour coach ride to find the place in darkness . It is more like a student hostel and would never rate any stars at all if they had bothered to check it out . It is very dated and grubby. Most lightbulbs don't work and upstairs is dark and dingy . We were very comfortable at this hotel. Its location, on a quiet street but close to the main shopping area and the sea, was convenient. We very much enjoyed the friendly home atmosphere. The room and bathroom were very clean; and we particularly enjoyed the veranda. It more than met our expectations of a 3-star hotel, and we certainly will recommend it to our friends.
