My 3 grown up daughters and I decided we needed a break! As the majority were not too well off we decided to look online and go for a 2 star self catering. We chose the Reishan apartments in Turgutreis and it proved to be a good choice. The apartment was adequate, the bed was very comfortable! The shower could have been better but the terrace was huge with a nice table and chairs to enjoy the evenings. The restaurant around the pool is very nice, and the food is good!
Any concerns or misunderstandings we had were very fairly sorted out by the very friendly staff. We found all the Turkish people nice without exception all keen to be sure you are enjoying the holiday. I can recommend the Reishan and Turgetreis to everyone there is so much to do and see, the boat trip and the safari are great and the Turkish bath is an experience not to be missed. Nutters bar is great to see the Belly dancer and young break dancers, and the food at Cool Breeze is wonderful finished off at Bar 1 for a dance. My one bit of advice would be - to be sure that you are understood, it is quite easy to assume the Turkish person you are speaking to understands your needs but remember he's listenig to a foreign language!

we have just return(2adults 2 childrens) from a wonderful stay at the reishan hotel/apartments and must say alround the stay was excellent.
the rooms were a verygood standard for what you pay( cleaned daily) and all the staff were very very helpfull.the hotel is as it says next to the sea and supermarket and 5min walk from the town center.we have been to turkey 5 times and this stay/hotel was one of our best stays.the only negative point was the rep working for goldtrail ,he treid to rip
us off by adding his commission onto a trip he tried to sell us (after converting euro to lira)book trips with agents in town ,cheaper.a tip when booking ask for top floor rooms as you get a large balcony but theres no lift.feel assured that this hotel is worth visiting.

The reishan hotel is a very well run hotel whose sole aim was completely happy guests. It is spotless day and night both inside and outside. The food was excellent with a varied menu and reasonably priced. I cannot comment highly enough of the professionalism of all staff and how they went out of their way to ensure there was never a problem. Thank you all. Feriday the beautiful receptionist and Argun who is excellent at his job. We have stayed here a few years ago and will certainly be returning after such wonderful treatment. It is opposite the marina, close to the supermarket, near the dolmus station near the market and only 5-10 mins walk to the town centre. (No steep hills or steps) There are no noisey bars nearby and this all added to one of the most relaxing holidays ever had. (No worries of getting a room over Bar Street). The pool areas are spotless and no problems getting sunbeds. Varied guests English and Turkish but most are repeat visitors (year after year), its the sort of place you could go on your own with no problems. The waiters worked so hard morning til night without being on your case. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and concerns over doing daily bills but certainly not with the Reishan. Lovely lads working so so hard. Turgutreis beach is shingle but there are lots of beautiful beaches nearby (10 mins Dolmus). The one we keep going back to is a bit of heaven on earth. Not saying which one as it appears no other tourist knows of it. Forget the huge hotels were you are a number this is a hotel where you matter. Once again thank you all. Hilda See you again shortly I hope

Had the time of my life in Turgetreis, first went in 2003 and then back again in 2005 and looking at returning again this year.
Both times we stayed in the Reishan hotel, which has a great location, out of the main bar stretch but close enough to walk to everything.
The hotel is basic, but with weather like we had- why would we want to waste it in our rooms?? All we did was sleep there. The staff are great and friendly.
The pools are great for playing in and they get great sunshine throughout the day, but if you prefer beaches the best spots on the beach are 1 lira a day- which is nothing, and includes waiter service all day long!
We had meals at the Reishan the first year we went, and it is a Turkish menu- try the chef’s bread challenge, eat as many of the Turkish breads as you can in a meal!
But whilst we enjoyed it- it was limited, we went self catering the second time- because of all the restaurants and bars around with so much to offer, we found it a better way to go.
As everyone has said- the boat trips are great! We had such a laugh and saw some beautiful places.
The place is magic; I would recommend everyone goes at least once in a lifetime- mind you everybody seems to go back for more!
The people are great and you make friends for life.
When I went back in 2005 after 2 years, everyone still knew my name (nothing to do with my behaviour!) but it’s nice that you aren’t forgotten and that you see the same people year after year- it’s like going home, abroad!

Rooms were not ready when we arrived (late pm) rooms very basic, shower room leaves a lot to be desired! Not up to our hygiene standards, had to report foul smell when we showered.
Food was all Turkish not bad at beginning, but after a week we were fed up with salad for breakfast. Salad for starter but no choice of main meal and water melon or sponge cake for desert. Didn't eat in restaurant for last 5days due to whole family having tummy upset!
Marina not far away and a short walk leads you to the beach, people very helpful and friendly. Would we go back to Resort - maybe. Hotel Reishan - no!

The Reishan Hotel is situated close to the yacht marina which has designer shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The main harbour is only a few minutes walk away for boat trips (£10 for all day trip including lunch).
The beach is just past the harbour and there is a promenade lined with bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a large supermarket close to the hotel. The main town shops and market are only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The location overall is great as it is very central but also quiet. Our room was small but adequate with a fridge, hairdryer and air conditioning (£20 per week extra). The shower room was very small and hot water tended to run out after 8.30pm. The room was very clean and sheets and towels were changed frequently.
The hotel has two swimming pools, the main pool is across a quiet road and is situated in a garden setting with a cafe attached, where you also get breakfast which is Turkish style - bread, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, watermelon, tea, coffee and orange juice.
The smaller pool is surrounded by the rooms so is very hot in peak season as there is no breeze. The staff are very pleasant and happy to help. The resort itself is very traditional - most holidaymakers here are Turkish- so you get great Turkish food and not a McD's or KFC in sight!
We had excellent meals in Nanai, Anatolian, Can and La Villa restaurants. The excellent food was only costing us about £20 per night including a couple of drinks. Drinks in bars are about £1 for a beer, £2 for a glass of wine, £2 for local spirit and mixer and £4 for a cocktail. Most bars are on Bar Street which is fairly lively with Nutters and Tash's being the most popular. This is a great resort for couples or families.

Had a great time in Turgetreis, staying in an apartment at the Reishan hotel. Hotel located in a quiet area near the marina, close enough to walk to main part of town & beach.
The apartment was basic & tired looking, but cleaned daily & towels & sheets were changed every 3 days. The 1 bedroom apartments all come with a double bed so I had to get the sofa bed made up as I went with a friend. It was hard but I still managed to sleep! We were a little disappointed cos the balcony was very small & didn't get any sun. Although the weather was great we like to 'chill' on the balcony while getting ready! No complaints about the hotel staff.
We had a couple of meals at the Reishan and thought the food was excellent. Also enjoyed great food at CAN and NAZAR restaurants. We got 'conned' to buying a 2nd drink we did not want in Radio Bar on Bar Street, so a word of warning - if a drink arrives that you haven't ordered say so straight away & make sure they don't charge you for it!
Turgutreis is quite relaxed & I loved it. Met loads of people who also loved the place and returned year after year.
