My friend and i went here and had a fantastic time! Although, as it is mentioned the rooms are basic. but, who cares! the rooms were clean, linen fresh and the staff very friendly. we had i great time and would go again in fact i intend on taking my son there next year because we had such a good time! Goldtrail were helpfull Jackie was fab and the excursions were such good fun. we met realy nice people, turkish as wel as english. loved the fact there was no entertainement other than what we and the bar man sam conjoured up. it also ment we could sleep at night. there was no fighting for sunbeds, or places by the rooftop pool it was very chilled out and relaxed!!! fabulous

This was mine and my partner first time in turkey
we booked a late deal 5 days before departing
the night before leaving i read the reviews everyone but 2 or 3 were bad
we were both horrified and worried what we had let ourselves in for.
We was told there was 2 hotels but later found out there was 3.
As we arrived off the coach 1 lady spoke to us and said welcome to colditz its terrible??
Everybody was moaning that its says its a 4star but in turkey a 4sun is not classed as a 4star
Me and my partner stayed a week and absolutly enjoyed every minute icmeler is a lovely place and the people are very nice, we are booking to go back next year this time for 2 weeks.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic and clean. The maids cleaned and changed our towels and bedding daily.
We met some nice people including the bar staff.
The 1 gripe is food could be a little hotter but was plenty to choose from.
Please go with an open mind its not that bad as some of reviews say.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this hotel; we had heard lots of bad things and were really expecting the worst but no... the hotel staff Hassan especially, were very accommodating and exceptionally friendly keeping us topped up with drinks by the pool.
The staff could not do enough for you and were they to help with any problems that did occur.
The hotel itself was very clean and tidy.
I would definitely stay there again as we made many good friends.

To begin with our flight was delayed by 6 hours due to our plane having to make an emergency landing. No apology or compensation was given for this.
We arrived at our resort at 12.30am on Saturday 8th September only to be told, via letter, that our hotel (Grand Saral) was full! We were then placed in the Belle Mar for one night, with no apology or explanation, no water or food. We therefore had to pay extra to go out at 1am and find food and drink. The Belle Mar was so dirty that I got covered in flea bites all over my head from the pillows and slept in a towel as my sheets were so filthy.
We were promised by the rep on the coach that our room would be sorted by 9am the following morning. Despite chasing the hotel management and our Rep Jonni, we did not get our room until 2pm. Therefore 1.5 days of our holiday were already wasted. We had not slept for 29 hours by this point!
The room was covered in dirt on the carpet, with trodden in sweets included - and had not been cleaned or dusted. The bed sheets did not fit the bed and we were given a torn curtain to sleep underneath. With the exception of the bathroom, the room was not cleaned or vacuumed throughout our stay.
On the Saturday as we were so appalled by the Saral we tried the sister hotel - the Metropol for dinner. Unfortunately as we sat for our evening meal the chair leg snapped and the chair collapsed and I landed on the base of my spine and cut my hand on glass which was already on the floor. I suffered terrible back pain throughout the holiday and am now being referred for treatment for a slipped disc in my lower lumbar region (L 4 & 5). We informed the hotel manager of this accident and he responded by saying: "Oh dear, never mind".
We went straight to our rep Jonni the next day to report it, who responded in the same nonchalant way. I advised that she may want to log it in an accident book, she said she should but was too busy and to come back another time. I know she did this to numerous other guests also, as we were all equally angered by her apparent lack of interest and willingness to help.
The food in the Saral was relatively tasty but very limited and always cold. There is no method used to heat the food other than metal plates. This resulted in me getting a severe case of food poisoning spent the remaining two and a half days in the bedroom being violently ill, three weeks later I am still unable keep anything down.
I regularly go on low budget all inclusive holidays at the end of the year and have never experienced anything so awful from start to finish before. The staff in the hotel pays you no attention unless you are female, 16 and blonde. All the facilities, including the pool and other communal areas are dirty and dangerous. My partner cut his toe on some glass on the floor by the pool!

Took a 3 1/2 hour bus journey to get to hotel from airport, up and down the side of a mountain - very scary.
Everyone in the hotel was very friendly, bar and swimming pool staff were great and made 'deals' with us to get cheap air conditioning.
However, after the 1st night I woke up with about 30 mosquito bites all over my body.
Complained to staff and eventually got moved into another room. The staff claimed this was very unusual, yet some were a lot worse than me.
It was ok but wouldn’t go back to the hotel again or Turkey for that matter.

We were really nervous about going to this hotel, as we'd read several terrible reviews about it. We were both really pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the staff.
The room was a nice size and really clean, beds made and towels changed daily. Breakfast was typically Turkish but not bad.
The service from Hassan behind the bar was excellent, looked after us with plenty of ice cold bottled water by the pool.
Pool was on roof above street level - excellent privacy, accessed on 1st floor, but well contained and safe. No kid’s pool. 2 minutes walk to beach, bars etc all easily accessible. Would def go again.
