We had an upper room with balcony (which was very small but did have a lovely view). We got there about 5am & reception staff were helpful & carried our bags for us. Room was clean enough but the cleaners only came in every other day which was unpleasant with only a tiny... more

Having been to Turkey many times I have a very good idea of the standard of accomodation you can expect. This hotel has six cellar rooms that have been renamed by guests with good reason as the dungeons. Almost every British guest (seemed to be only the British) we saw had... more

After reading some of the reviews, I prepared myself for the worst. However when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the hotel was and how friendly the staff were. At meal times there was not a wide variety, and the food was not what you would normally eat in... more

My Partner & I enjoyed out 2 week stay at the Bronze hotel in May 2007. We though the staff were very friendly and we got on with them really well. When we first arrived we weren't too sure what to expect, but we loved it, so much so that we are going back this year with a... more

Having just arrived back home from a two week stay at the Hotel Bronze. We didn't pay for the Ritz and didn't expect it, but either previous correspondent’s standards are lower than ours or the hotel has changed since last year! The staff were most unhelpful, couldn't... more

After recently returning for our trip to Gumbet, my partner and I couldn’t wait to post our review of the Bronze Hotel. The hotel appears to look like a bit of a dive from the outside but when you actually get in, it is not so bad, all clean, and tidy. The staff are... more

Best Holiday ever
I went to this hotel, with my parents and my partner son and his friend, we had such a relaxing holiday, stayed round the pool all day, food was great and the staff amazing, hoping to go back april and sep next year it was that good, got holiday blues badley when i got back.
Best holiday ever!!!
It was our second time in Turkey but our first time in Hotel Bronze but definetly not our last. The staff were really friendly especially the bar staff especially Hi-co and Deni. The rooms were cleaned everyday by friendly staff. They were quite small but didnt bother us. The food was pretty much the same every night but there is a brilliant steak house downstairs which serves great food at cheap prices and they also have friendly staff - Jimmy and Billy boy. Turkish night was great fun and we really enjoyed the different entertainment and the cuisine. We will definetly be back at the Hotel Bronze next year because the staff made our holiday!!! I loved this holiday
I stayed at the Bronze late June, and I loved it. We didn't know what to expect at first on the first night but the second night was wicked, the bar staff really livened it up and made us feel really looked after every day. Im going back again soon this year. The food was the same in the morning for breafast but was clean and enough of it! We had no problems with having drinks in our room, the bar staff were all friendly enough to clear up after us! But do not pay for turkish night if they ask, we were fooled by this but we were half board and the only food they provided that night was a bbq for turkish night so we felt a bit robbed because we've already paid for our food, but the service was brilliant and could not fault the staff at all. You usualy see the bar lads on your nights out too!!!
So Good I Went There Twice
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Hotel bronze first went in june 2004, i went for 2 weeks and alls you could do is just chill and relax because you felt like you was in heaven! i went back on 26th july 2005 (for 2 weeks) and all the waiters were there that was there in 2004... i felt at home... the only problem was the rooms.. they were too small BUT the rooms only for you to sleep in and get changed so its not much of a problem
honest review!
I stayed at the Bronze hotel early August 2004. Having read reviews about a hotel I will be staying in soon, some really good and some really bad and becoming confused about what to expect I thought I would read reviews of hotels I have previously stayed in and give my ****HONEST**** opinion! I thought the Bronze hotel was clean and spacious, the air conditioning worked well although it switched itself off in the night and you had to wake up to turn it back on - it takes all of three seconds so I didn't find this a problem. Our sheets were changed as were are towels which were always clean. The bins in the toilet were emptied daily - essential considering Turkey's sewer systems and the fact you cant flush toilet paper down the loo - and there was always enough toilet roll, however I do recommend taking Andrex toilet tissue wipes because they are much more hygenic and also we took scented nappy bags so the toilet didn't smell! The only bad point about the hotel room was there were ants, they were only on the bed once and that was because we had been eating crisps in bed, after coming in drunk and hungry, and there were crumbs everywere! so my tip would be dont leave crumbs anywere or if you buy roses of the sellers on the street dont leave them on the floor because they will be all over. But lets not blow this out of proportion, they bothered us only on two nites, the first with the crumbs and the second when i left a rose on the floor, it took about two mins to bash them with a flipflop and then it was fine, honestly I am very squeemish and they really didnt bother me! Food and drink are not allowed in your room and if the maids find any they will bin it so my advice is if your going to have any(we did!!) make sure you hide it in your suitcase in the morning!!! The location of the hotel is ideal, it is very close to the beach and a walk down the road will bring you out to all the main bars, you can catch a dolmus to Bodrum right outside the hotel and every taxi driver we had knew exactly where the bronze was. We found the staff very welcoming and friendly and on the night we were leaving we overheard a conversation at the desk in which a German girl was speaking poor english to the Turkish staff, the first of whom didnt speak much English, she didnt need to it was 4am and I doubt many people would need her! However she woke up other members of staff until they sorted out the german girls problem which I thought was very good! I didnt enjoy the food but I have to be honest I am VERY picky and because of this we only ate at the hotel once, my boyfriend is not picky and he enjoyed the food! The pool and pool area are lovely, very clean and they look really nice - we spent most of our holiday lounging around there! We also sampled a Turkish bath at the hotel and it was very relaxing I would advise you to try it, it doesnt cost very much! Also if you get the chance to do a day trip on a boat from your rep, do it!!! It was the best day of our holiday, we went to four different spots, the first was camel beach were you get off the boat and have a wonder, then there were 3 lagoons were you could jump off the boat into the crystal clear sea - very refreshing!! You also got lunch included which was nice, cold chicken with pasta, salad and bread. On the last stop the crew throw out the remains of the bread and lots of fish come up to the surface! This was the first holiday me and my boyfriend had together and it couldnt have been better! the Bronze hotel was lovely and apart from the food Iwould most definately go back! You get out of a holiday what you put in, go thinking you will have a great time and you will!! Have fun!!
Fabulous Bronze
We stayed at the Bronze Hotel in August 2005. We found the hotel to be one of the best we have stayed in far a long time. Having travelled all over the world I must say that this hotel was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have a teenage daughter and she had a ball. I would recommend this hotel to families and older couples. There is no entertainment laid on or TV;s in rooms but this made the holiday better as we could totally relax. All in all a fab holiday in beautiful surroundings, and we are really looking forward to giong back there next year. Plus the turkish bath is a must.....
Had A Great Time Here
Five of us stayed at The Bronze Hotel - we all had a fantastic time. There is a Turkish Bath + Hairdressers + Beauty Salon attached to this Hotel which we all found to be most useful. The Staff were excellent - even those working in the Restaurant and Bar which was attached to the Hotel. We had a problem with the air conditioning - but this was quickly fixed. The evening meals were of a high standard - although the breakfast menu was always the same. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. All in all we had a great time here, and look foward to going back next year.
hotel bronze dont go there
we stayed at the bronze there, from the 13th to the 27th of june the food was the same every day for breakfast, the evening meal was worse at one point there was 13 of us all walking out an goin to burger king. the place was clean an tidy the staff there were all helpful, but this is not a hotel for either a married couple with kids or esle single parents, there is no entertainment laid on at all no kids clubs, its make ur own entertainment no tv or anything in the rooms, u wud be better off stayn at stalag 13. the only bright thing about the place is the guys who work there to make u feel relaxed but if u want my advice give this place a wide berth
Beautiful Bronze Hotel
I have just returned from the Bronze hotel in Gumbet. It was a beautiful hotel. The food was first class and it was very clean. I was a little worried as I had read a bad review on this hotel with TripAdviser but I can assure you it was one of my best holidays so far and I will be back next Christmas.
holiday from hell
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in my lifetime it was dirty smelly and mattresses were disgusting and sheets were stained we changed rooms and it was the same we were 3 people in the party and food was the same every night for 7 nights we had no hot water for the full 7 nights no one took notice we also had broken window for 5 days no chair to sit in room no tv no toilet rolls we had to ask when we wanted them this hotel should not be a 3 star hotel it should be basic .Wepaid over £1000 pounds for three people I stayed in better youth hostels when I was young.
