we were there from the 12th september to the 20th september

we were there on our honeymoon we got put in the dungeon as everyone in the the hotel called it in fact it is basically the basement the hotel was fully booked and everyone who went there spent atleast 2-3 days of there holiday there.

the food was shocking one night the MEAT dish was liver the following night the MEAT dish was tongue and they also chargrilled the liver one night next to the pool .

the only thing good about the hotel was the door on they way home i was glad to see the back of this hotel

the hotel used to be called the loyal hotel everything in the the hotel said this only a sticker over the top of everything said hera park.

the hotel was mostly german and dutch guests and even they argued with the hotel staff over rooms

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND NEVER A 4* HOTEL DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BOOK A DIFFRENT HOTEL

  • Holiday details: Sep 2010, All Inclusive, booked with Thomas Cook

The hotel rooms are small but very... by JL Dyer
4 / 10

The hotel rooms are small but very clean and tidy.

The pool is small, but large enough for a good swim at quiet times.

Hotel is quite literally 2 mins from the beach, if you leave by the main entrance and turn right follow the road down to the beach, not a long walk and on a road/street with shops and bars.

One thing we did find was there are a lot of Germans and evenings were a little dull. We walked into a big town next to all the ruins by taking a left on the beach after about 10/15mins take a left by a restaurant (just follow the people!!) and following the road then up a hill. Past all the ruins and you walk under a large gate it takes you straight into Side... takes about 25mins by foot.

Air con was not great, we took a fan which helped, and you need to take something to get the room key off the metal tag. This means you can leave your electrics on in your room when you’re out. Air con only worked when the patio door was shut and it worked over night and for a few hours in the day.

Drinks were ok, local drinks only at the bar (AI) and they didn't have a massive selection when we were there.

Food was ok, nothing to write home about, lots of salad and fresh bread, a bbq with meat or fish on every night, and 4 hot meals on hot plates.

We ended up eating out - in most restaurants they served free starters and free desert so eating out was cheap! and saved fighting for chips with the Germans.

Make sure you check which currency you pay in, they have a habit of sitting you down and after you have eaten asking for the price in Euros, which is fine but a lot more expensive than Lira... so just check before you sit down that they are reasonable and the currency they expect. (the beach area was a bit bad for this)

Tuesdays are Turkish nights... we didn't stay for it and heard mixed reviews.

What else is there to say, loads of trips available everyone loved them, they sell them along the streets - we never heard any horror stories - only good times. (most trips were sold by a guy called UFO right by the beach as you walk down from the hotel.

Generally we had a great time, night life was poor so take something to entertain yourself with, sun was hot... phones are on a phone card at the local shop with the phone outside it. Banks are at the top of the hill left out the hotel, follow the road round up a hill (quite steep) and cross the road its right in front of you.

Think that’s it, enjoy it... we did!
