The hotel was lovely and the staff very welcoming. The food was good and all local amenities were within a very short walking distance.
The gorgeous resort of Olu Deniz was a short (and Cheap) bus/dolmus ride away, as was the bustling market town of Fethiye. Hisaronu had many restaurants, bars, and clubs to offer all ages but I would not recommend if you want something off the beaten track.
We had a lovely romantic beach holiday and the resort was fairly quiet. It is very good to haggle with the local tour guides on prices and look around before committing. It is also best to get all your trips with one company as they are more likely to give you discount. The paragliding from Mt Babadag is well worth it and the views are amazing. (Around £45).
The boat trips leaving from Olu Deniz every day are very reasonable and a great way to tan and see the local area and cost only £5 including lunch! If you are keen walkers and want to get away from all the people then I advise taking a bus to the Ghost town and there is a walk from here to the lagoon at Olu Deniz (search for a map) follow the red markings on the stones over the mountain. It’s a great way to see the lagoon for the first time! Although the markings are sometimes very hard to spot its quite simple to see where you need to be. This is a great place for couples and families.

Me and my girlfriend have just returned from Hisaronu which is absolutely beautiful and more or less hastle free in comparison with other resorts, there is so much to do in terms of activities and excursions and the people are a different class.
The Lagoon is a small hotel where you are very much made to feel a part of things, the staff are unbelievably friendly and there is nothing they won't do for you, it's locality is ideal, not on the main street but a leisurely 7 or 8 minutes walk to restaurants, buses etc.
There is a small journey by Dolmus [which turn up every 3-5 minutes or so] to the beach and the Blue Lagoon.
For eating out I would recommend the following Saffrons, Whispers, The Pepper Sun and the Hotel Lagoon itself does delicious meals and if you fancy a drink The Effes Bar is well worth a visit, all can be found on the main street in Hisaronu.
We will both be returning next year in order to catch up on what we missed and to revisit all the friends we made, enjoy........

A lovely place, the hotel is within walking distance (300m) of the town centre and there are plenty of bars/clubs to keep everyone happy from children to OAP's.
We really enjoyed this resort and will defo be going back. I would highly recommend the Skillanet Gorge trip, but most of the local trips are really good value as they cost between 10 and 15 pounds and include transfers and a good lunch.
The hotel staff were very friendly and the pool area was lovely. There was always beds by the pool and it never seemed to be crowded.
The breakfast consisted of watermelon, olives, feta cheese, boiled eggs, fresh bread, coffee jams honey etc. But you can buy full English for 8YTL.
The rooms are basic but were cleaned regularly and the beds made most days.
Food from the bar was always good, I had the trout, and one of the waiters de- boned it and removed head and tail skilfully at my table.
The only thing I could complain about is the noise from other guests coming in at 2am 4am 6am but that is not the hotels fault!

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel from the 2nd to the 16th of July 2007, and we have had a fantastic time. the hotel is great, very clean, and the staff are fantastic.
The hotel is in a quiet area but only 5 mins walk at most to all the best bars, restaurants, clubs and shops. or if you want a night in the hotel staff are very entertaining, and the food is fantastic too.
There is something for everyone at the Lagoon hotel, if you want a quiet holiday its good, or if you want a more fun packed holiday the staff will be pleased to offer this, even dancing on the bar is available! or if you want a family holiday there is a childrens pool and play area and a fair just up the road.
The hotel staff will happily arrange all your day trips at good prices, including boat trips and paragliding, or anything you want to do, and the hotel also puts on a Turkish night with belly dancing, folk dancing, huge BBQ with over 20 meze and you can even try the traditional drink raki!
We would like to thank all the staff, hakan and lisa, hasan, morris, eray, byron, kitchen chef, cleaner and husband, nazif, kim and anyone else that made our holiday fantastic.
see you all next year!

We have just got back from our hols, It is the 13 time we have been to Turkey and the 11 time we have stop at the Lagoon Hotel. We have had a great time and the new staff were even better than previous years and they took some beating. The hotel is very clean and the cleaner is one of the best. She has been there for many years and has kindly done some washing for me without being ask.
I was unlucky this year and got a ear infection, but Hasan went out and bought me some ear plugs so i could still swim. He would not let me pay for them, how about that for service. We also had some long and happy nights drinking and talking to Harkan(manager)and his wife Lisa. The location is perfect for long lazy days (UNLESS YOU HAVE TO PLAY BALL GAMES IN THE POOL WITH THE STAFF) Only a short walk to the town which has all you want: good food ,shops and more shops, good bars loud and quiet ones. Something for all age groups.
We have never been anywhere twice for a holiday until we went to the Lagoon Hotel. We are now booking for next year. Many people go back year after year which speaks for itself.

Me & my husband have just spent a week at the Lagoon hotel. What a lovely place.
The rooms are basic but very clean, the pool area is wonderful, and there weren’t many guests there so it was like a private villa although I would think it will get busy further into the season.
The food was delicious & very well presented. All the staff were very friendly and helpful but not pushy at all.
Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable especially Louise (English receptionist)who was most helpful. Also the maid who was the best we had ever come across, she was always smiling & left beautiful fresh flowers arranged on our bed daily.
We would highly recommend this hotel it is in a quiet part of Hisaronu but only a 5 minute walk to the main street.
Also if you want a different night out The Talk Of The Town is a must, it is a family cabaret night featuring B4 which is run & starring the extremely talented Jamie Morris if you have ever been to Marmaris he was in The Playgirls show there. It also stars Taz, Sam and Terry all of who are very talented.
Please book a ticket you will not be disappointed.

Hello I came to the Lagoon hotel on the 19 of June for 2 weeks and I loved it.
The room was basic, but it was good and the food was nice. The woman who did the rooms was so nice to you, she put a flower in your room and made it clean.
The swimming pool was nice and clean. The town at night was nice and loved it, it was nice at night. My mum and my cousin liked it too. We would come back here, Kerry.

I have traveled to the areas of Olu Deniz, Calis, Hisaronu and Ovacik for 16 years and have never stayed in such a wonderful and charming hotel as the Lagoon. It is set in a very peaceful and picturesque part of Hisaronu but is only a few minutes easy walk to the centre. The pool and terrace area is very spacious and clean with plenty of beds and umbrellas.
They also have a fantastic traditional Turkish seating area with cushions just by the pool. The gardens are pretty and well looked after. The rooms are clean and basic, as so many are in Turkey. The hotel has a very large bar inside and out and the food in the a la carte restaurant was fab, especially the Turkish specialties that cannot be found in Hisaronu!
The staff could not do enough for you, they were very polite, friendly and good fun. The management and receptionists were the nicest I have ever met, again there was nothing they would not do for you. They made sure that you were enjoying your holiday in every aspect and the manager and his wife were very knowledgeable about all things Turkish.
I am definitely returning to this hotel in the summer and from the comments made by other guests at the hotel so are a lot of others.
This year I am booking direct with them from their website.
A definite must for a relaxing, quality holiday with a traditional feel of Turkey!

I stayed at the lagoon with my sister and niece, at the beginning of Oct 2005.the hotel itself is set away from the main street, which is great for peace and quiet but close enough to walk to every night no problem.
The hotel rooms are very basic, but then it is only a 2star,but the staff are friendly and helpful and the maid must have been the nicest maid in turkey, some days I swear she was waving and smiling at no-one!!. The pool area was very clean, and if you go when we did, it feels more like a private villa! Hisaronu its self is fantastic, if you’ve never been to turkey though, you may find the people a bit intimidating, but if you like attention, you’ll love it! The food is good and there are loads off places to choose from. If you like lamb, a must is the lemon tree, the whole leg off lamb is to die for. The eat all you can buffet style Chinese’s are a bit off a swizz as yes, you can eat all you want, but you can only order one dish at a time, and as it takes a good 10-15 mins to cook, you could be there all night.
Shopping wise, the Monday market in Hisaronu is fun, and you can knock them right down ,handbags especially, you can get them for less than half off what they’re asking. They tend to be a bit less flexible on clothes, but have a go. We had a lazy holiday and didn’t do much, but we are going again next year, and do intend to do more next time, Turkish baths trips etc. All in all we loved it.

I have just returned from the lagoon hotel. Not a bad hotel only two star so dont expect the earth. It was kept very clean and the grounds, the lady who cleaned the rooms worked very hard and here husband who looked after the grounds.the staff on the whole were friendly enough. The breakfast was very basic even by Turkish standards some mornings items were missing so that made it smaller.Air con, fridge, security box all had to be paid for to the hotel which for a two week holiday could add over a hundred pounds to a two week holiday so keep this in mind when comparing prices. In olu deniz there is a agency who books tours for you with the stupid name of bloodygorges they let us down big time so take my advice keep away from them.
