Just back form a week staying at the Sami Plaza in Gumbet, Had a fantastic time. The staff were lovely and friendly. Gino the bar man was a star getting our drinks and tennding to our every need.
Rooms were lovely and clean. If poss ask for one of the new rooms, nothing wrong with older ones (where we stayed) but they are just a little more modern.
Ideal place for familys and couples alike
We will be going back next year

This was my third year in a row staying here so as you can probably figure, I love it!
Everything about Gumbet and Turkey is brilliant, the people, the food, the beer, weather, things to see. I would go every year if I could but getting married this year so going somewhere else.
The Sami plaza is first class, good service, clean rooms, and nice pool.
Some rooms have seen better days, though you don’t go on holiday to sit in your room!
Gumbet has got bigger over the last few years but is still cheap as chips, I was getting a pint for under 50p so if anyone says it’s not as cheap as it used to be I would say 1 thing... inflation! Do we not see prices going up in the UK!
The Turkish people work very very hard and deserve to get a little extra for it.
All in all I would recommend everyone to go to Turkey at least once in life then you’ll be hooked.

We just returned from Gumbet. Sami Plaza hotel fab, location right in centre of all bars.
Great hol, fab people can’t do enough for you. We are both early 50s this was our 4th time to Gumbet, it has gone dearer but where hasn’t it.
5 mins walk from beach which stretches miles lovely walk all flat .our hotel was in middle of all bars shops restaurants.
40 mins from airport so when you’re tired you don’t really need to travel far. We will be booking to go back. Sami plaza great hotel good location. Will return.

Me and hubby had a fab holiday, weather too hot but we managed with air conditioning.
Had a fab time, beach small but plenty of free sunbeds, lots of bars and places to eat at side of beach with some entertainment too through the day. Plenty of activity on the water for all who like to do the banana boats etc.
Food - Bronze restaurant is a must to visit, food is fabulous and a varied menu. Staff are great too, we ate there nearly every night. Sami Beach do the best chip butties. too.
Turkish baths are a must too but watch out for prices - check what it includes before booking as most prices just include sauna and scrub.
We went on reps bar trip - really good and worth the pound for the t shirt - go along you will be surprised, it also showed us some bars we may not have visited. The place is buzzing in some parts and calm in others - it is a great mix for all ages.
Will go back to Gumbet again in the future.

Lovely hotel, after visiting this resort over the past 9 years, this is the first time we stayed at the Sami Plaza.
Flights booked through Goldtrail, arranged local pickup and booked hotel direct ourselves.
Rooms lovely, bright and airy, freshly decorated all with fridge and TV and air-conditioning - and you don't pay any extra for it either!
Only slight downside is they fill up the fridge with their own drinks and charge a pretty penny for them!
All rooms face onto the pool area. Ours was accessed at the front of the hotel and the only problem here is the noise from the bars across the road at night but this quietens down round about 1am - didn’t stop us going to sleep though.
Pool area is lovely and clean, with hammocks (which were a little bit on the threadbare side) and a garden swing and two small kids pools.
Buffet style breakfast and evening meal - no complaints food lovely and in the morning they will make omlettes/fried eggs to order too.
Perfect hotel and would recommend to anyone (in my opinion far superior to sister hotel Sami Beach which has seen better days and is in great need of a major revamp).
