This is the WORST HOLIDAY RESORT EVER. I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY from this resort at all costs as if you do it will cost you, this is why;
My friend and I went out to dinner on the second evening and before we went out we placed all out valuables in the safe we had hired the previous day as you would on holidays, we had only crossed the road and decided we should dress for the whole evening so went back to change. When we got into our room we found the receptionist of the Apartment block IN our bedroom with the safe door OPEN, we were in the process of being robbed by the staff of that complex!!
We contacted the police then we had to pay for a translator go to the police station make a statement then the next day spend all day in a court to insure this guy would not get away with what he has done.
On return to the apartments the rest of the staff were nasty to us refused to clean our room phone a taxi for us and after a few days the manger demanded that we had to leave all because we had stood up for your rights.
This tells me all the staff are involved in the safe robberies as they have extra keys to all the safes.
I have all the proof of this story you want and you can ask for the copies of police reports solicitors letter ALL you want off me as I don’t want anyone else to go through what we did
DONT EVEN CONSIDER STAYING AT BABALU!!!!!!

I visited this resort with my boyfriend and stayed for a week. During our stay we found the apartments very satisfactory. When we first arrived at the apartments the night staff did not seem very nice or approachable, this thankfully was a 1 off and the staff for the rest of the holiday were delightful (one in particular who worked in the pool bar, unfortunately we did not catch his name). Our room was very nice. When we first went to our room it was lovely and clean apart from near the kitchen, the floor was mucky and did not get cleaned throughout our holiday. The pool area and bar were clean and relaxing, the food was lovely. Pool was very cold and we advise people to take a wet suit with them. The commercial centre over the road was convenient with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Taxis were cheap and regular. Beach was clean and welcoming with sun loungers to rent if you wanted to. Overall our stay at Puerto Rico and the Babalu was brilliant and we would advise anybody to visit.
