me and 3 of my mates went to ayia napa on a girly holiday and we stayed at the androthea apartments. when we arrived at midnight our room had not been cleaned. we did not really complain just asked for clean sheets and towels. the next day the manager was vry apologetic and explained the situation and gave us a bottle of wine and free air con 4 the 2 weeks we were there(which was really appreciated). the hotel is situated in the most perfect place its about a 5 min walk 2 the square and a 5 min walk the other way to the harbour and beach. the rooms are pretty basic, but nothing wrong with them at all. the cleaners came every other day and were amazin they folded our clothes and put everything away neatly. the pool is also really good it was clean and big and had lot of lilos n stuff like that. i recommend to go 2 river reggae it was my most favourite place. dont advise the beach party it cost quite a bit and wasnt vry good at all, boring in fact. the booze cruise was good tho. its deffo a place for single ladies as there is plenty of lads there especially irish. cnt wait to return nxt year and work there with all me girlys will deffo b returning to the androthea too.

We've been to the Androthea on...

We've been to the Androthea on several occasions now and find it very welcoming. The staff know who we are and are always very pleasant. We'll be there next year too!
We have tried various other locations but always come back to this one as it's just where we want to be situated and is reasonably quiet at night.
The rooms could do with quite a lot of renovation although they are spacious, comfortable and clean and who stays in their room during a holiday anyway?
We spend quite some time around the lovely pool and it's very close to the harbour, which we love. There are plenty of restaurants close by and unlimited nightlife 10 minutes away in the square.
We much prefer this part of Ayia Napa to the Nissi beach end.

Ayia Napa last week of the season was...
5 / 10
Nov 2007, Miss T Paul

Ayia Napa last week of the season was pretty dead. The weather was good (though the number of hours of sunshine was limited - it was very dark by 6pm).
The apartments were very basic and could do with some renovation. The location was excellent - very close to the harbour and to the square.
I was underwhelmed by Cyprus - too English for me and it was more expensive than home.

Just come back from a weeks stay in...

Just come back from a weeks stay in the Androthea apts and will definitely be returning there. We have been to Aiya Napa before but never stayed here. It's an ideal location close to the beach & close enough to the square.
Staff are really friendly and helpful, pool is lovely with plenty of sun loungers as there are only about 34apts. They have a happy hour in the pool bar from 4-10pm all cocktails only £1, we tried every single one (quite a few times over!!) Food is not that good but there is a fab little restaurant over the road and a gorgeous Chinese.
We did go on the dolphin boat trip, needless to say no dolphins to be found!! I would love to know if anyone has actually seen these dolphins??? However it was still a brilliant trip would definitely recommend it, it was more expensive than the regular £2 or £3 offerings down by the harbour but trust me they are a complete rip off!! You are much better off booking it through your rep at the hotel, it may cost £25 but trust me well worth it.

This was our second holiday to Cyprus...

This was our second holiday to Cyprus and to the Androthea apartments and we would never stay anywhere else in Cyprus. The apartments are fantastic, basic, but clean and very spacious, the staff were great, they remembered us from the first time we stayed and that was really nice.
The apartments are in a perfect location, not far from the harbour and the square, but it's still quiet. All necessary amenities are close by, restaurant's, bars and shops. The bus stop is also close by that takes you up to Nissi Beach and the water park.
The place is really family friendly and the people are so nice. We just can't wait to go back. See you very soon.

Second time to Cyprus but first time...

Second time to Cyprus but first time to these apartments. Basic but clean. Only drawback was the cleaners did not come every day.
Apart from that I would highly recommend these apartments. Rooms are spacious and the pool area is fantastic. There are only about 32 rooms and about 100 sun beds. Nobody was on top of each other.
Easy reach of the lovely harbour and equally the main square. Would go back and only to these apartments.

Aug 2006, Mrs E Gibson

My husband and I had a great holiday at the Andtothea apartments, the location was ideal 5 min from the square and 5 mins from the beach. The apartments were basic and the staff were not very helpful but the pool area was great.
The Napa star inn was ideal for something to eat before you hit the town and the staff in the Napa were brilliant, We are going back to The Androthea this year because we had such a good time last year.

Well what can I say?! We went Aug 2005. There were 10 girls altogether and we had a fabulous time. The hotel was lovely and very clean.
The staff weren't as friendly as they could have been. The cleaners were excellent and came on a daily basis. My bed however, was a pull-out bed which wasn't really satisfactory for the money I paid, but everyone else's was okay. The pool was great and plenty of lilos to play with. The award for the most miserable member of staff goes to the guy behind the bar, if looks could kill!
Overall though, it was a pleasant stay and would probably return there again. We're going back to Ayia Napa this year as we loved it so much. Wicked nightlife! Would recommend it :)

Feb 2006, Miss R.C Conroy

I am my friend stayed at the Androthea for one week in early September. This was a last minute booking and we weren’t sure what we were going to get.
We received a friendly and helpful service from the staff, and the hotel was perfectly situated.
Even though we went to Ayia Napa for the night life it was nice to be staying just at the right distance from the square… perfect location.
The room itself was clean and spacious.
Returning back this year Summer 2006...

It was my third visit to Ayia Napa...
9 / 10
Jan 2006, Miss JM Lidster

1 reader found this review helpful

It was my third visit to Ayia Napa with my boyfriend, and this apartment was our favourite out of the three. The apartments are ideally located. They are very close to the square (the centre for the clubs, bars and restaurants), taking about five minutes to walk there, and are also close to the harbour, and a sandy beach. The apartments were clean and spacious. Although the apartments are off the main road, the way the hotel is organised, noise from the road was never unpleasant when sunbathing or relaxing on your balcony.
The food in the hotel bar was good value for money, however we tended to visit different restaurants on the night times. All around Ayia Napa the meals are of high quality and are excellent value for money. The Androthea has several traditional restaurants on its doorstep and is also very close to Burgerking and Pizza Hut if that is your type of thing.
I would seriously recommend anyone who is going to Ayia Napa to enjoy the nightlife and the beaches, who want to be located nearby, but in a pleasant environment to chose the Androthea.
The hotels that are right in the centre are usually a little scruffy and crowded, the Androthea was definitely an exception. In this apartment you can chose whether it is the clubbing holiday in the square that you want, or a more traditional relaxed holiday down by the harbour.

The Androthea was the worst place...
1 / 10
Jan 2006, Miss W Oldham

The Androthea was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in, it was dirty, the beds where ripped, the pillows had saliva stains on them and the staff where very rude.
Overall it was not a very nice place to stay, they forget to turn off your air conditioning an then try and charge you for it saying you should have reminded them to shut it off, its not our job to remind them, were on holiday not in work. I would not recommend it.
