Me and my 12 year old son just spent 2 weeks in the victoria hotel. Overall it was good, very basic which was fine for us. The hotel has got a steep drive from the road up to the entrance. The staff were nice. The beech is about 1o minutes pleasant walk, with only 1 busy road to cross. The beech itself is stone / shingle into the water about 6 foot then gives way to sand, the water is crystal clear. A number of bars / restaurants line the shore, these can be expensive for alcoholic drinks and not a great choice of food but were ok. We did enjoy the beech, which was nice and relaxed with lots of water sports, boat hire, para gliding, bananas all that sort of thing. sunbeds are 2 euros each and 2 euros for umbrella. no problem getting beds. I would recommend swim shoes, which can be bought In 1 of the shops which also sell newspapers, books, suncream, which is expensive on the island bring from uk. A great taverner 2 down from bakery. To the left as you look at it,very cheap and very nice, everything was good, Ipsos is about 15 / 20 minute walk along main road no footpath on some sections (can be a bit scary) taxi fares were approx 10 euros which i thought was a lot. It has more bars and restaurants some really good, a nice meal was about 40 euro, (but we were only drinking water). Very bad bus service to Ipsos. all in all we had a very nice time, which did not cost loads.

A very pretty looking hotel on first appearances. However just below our balcony was a disused water fountain with stagnant water in it. Given the proliferation of mosquitos at this resort we felt this was not good! The breakfast was very basic and on one day the rolls were stale. The pool clean but the pool bar was not open and didn't look like it had been for a long time and the bin in the toilet was not emptied all week. There were also other little niggles that made us believe that the hotel was being run on a shoestring. I would not recommend it to friends at all.

My week's stay at Hotel Victoria was very enjoyable. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was more than adequate. The hotel staff especially made a very good impression; always willing to help and very friendly. All were English-speaking.
I would definitely recommend this quiet and simple hotel for anyone travelling to Corfu and who wants to spend a relaxing, quiet week in Corfu.

Hotel Victoria was clean and presentable. The room was comfortable but basic with the option to have air conditioning at an added cost of €35 for the week (we feel that guests of the hotel should be made aware of this when booking).
Swimming pool was of a reasonable size and was well maintained on a daily basis. However, the pool bar was not opened during our stay.
Breakfast consisted of cereals, rolls, ham, cheese, fruit juices and tea and coffee.
Hotel Victoria was situated up a steep slope, although 10 minutes walk down to Dassia beach. The nearest supermarket was 5 minutes away and stocked all essentials you would require.
We would NOT recommend making phone calls from the hotel room or reception as very very expensive our 5 short phone calls back to the UK cost just under €20!!!!!!
Overall a pleasant stay would go back and would recommend to our friends.

Very disappointed that Palmair has the Victoria hotel on its books. They have never let us down before. No hot food for breakfast just cornflakes and bread roll with ham or cheese, eating breakfast on the terrace was a no no because of the swarms of wasps, got stung on the first day. Sheets were nice and clean but the blankets looked grubby. When we showered on the ground floor it reduced the water pressure upstairs and stopped their shower working. Bathroom dirty with smell coming up through drains. Hotel needs updating. Neighbouring dogs barking till the early hours. Met some very nice people but needless to say we will not be going back. When you see the word basic stop and think.
