We've been to Larnaca before and were keen to book something in the centre as cheaply as possible, we paid £580 for a 2 bed appt for 2 weeks. Location is perfect (just behind the Sun-Hall Hotel).
The Apartment was old and basic just what you'd expect really for a laid back town like Larnaca, but it was cleaned every day and the beds were comfortable. We had a decent balcony view of the main road and could just about see the sea and the tops of the masts of the boats in the marina. Our friends were disappointed that their one bed apartment did not have a balcony, just a window. The roof-top pool is small with a bit of a grotty 'scum' line around the edge of the surface but there's a small bar playing music which makes up for it! The lack of umbrellas caused a few complaints but a few replacements arrived within a couple of days. The pool area is crying out for a little TLC and could be fabulous if someone took the time to sort it.
Overall the Kition is great for the money and what you'd expect from a 'laid back' working area of Cyprus - Fabulous Location which is what we were looking for.

Great holiday, Cyprus is warm, the sea is hot, and the people are lovely. Ayia Napa is half an hour away if you’re in the partying mood and Larnaca is for the more relaxed chilled out person, this is a great holiday, and the best place to go in Cyprus.
I would recommend the Apart Kition hotel as they are friendly, polite, and clean. There are many bars, restaurants around as well as tourist attractions such as the local castle and museum. There is also the St Lazarus church which is great for sightseeing and photo's.
For shopping you are best of going to either Limassol or Paphos both of which are about 45 mins to an hour away.
I would recommend visiting Larnaca to anyone.

The hotel is just a few minutes away from the beach and the heart of larnaca, there are alot of pubs and clubs to go to but if you are looking for a more laid back place to go there is an irish bar called blarney stone in which does karoke every wed to sun.
