Great hotel & location
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 2 nights (Fri & Sat) in March. The location is fantastic right in the centre of Chester. Check-in was quick and efficient and the first impressions of the hotel was of a high standard. Parking is on the Pepper St car park at a rate of £7.50 per night (you have to be off the carpark by 12noon to avoid incurring an extra charge) and is about a three minute walk from the hotel. You can pull up outside the hotel to unload your cases but make sure you get good directions first otherwise you could end... more

Bit dissappointed
We stayed just the one night at a very good B&B rate. The room was clean but quite small and characterless. When I booked on the internet it said that parking was in a nearby car park at a rate of £6 per night. At check in I was told it would be £7.50 per night. When we checked out I was told that the car park had new owners and they had not got any discount vouchers so I would have to pay the full rate of £10.After kicking up a fuss they refunded my credit card with £2.50.The cooked breakfast had obviously been cooked some time before we... more

I regret you had challenges with the car park and the charges. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate a car park on our grounds due to the location. However, all our collateral does advise this point at the stage of booking. I can also confirm, all our breakfasts are freshly prepared and cooked to order. I note you enjoyed the remainder of your stay and hope you give us another chance to improve on the areas you have highlighted as a concern. In the meantime, I would like to thank you for your feedback.

Central Shopping Spree!
My hubby was given a voucher for the Macdonalds Hotel Group and so for a shopping weekend without the children we chose to travel to Chester. I had looked up Tripadvisor experiences and we decided to leave our car out of town and get a taxi into the hotel early Saturday am. (It cost us £4 by taxi from the Premier Inn North where we had stayed the Friday night and left the car.) We arrived with luggage and were allowed to go straight to our room (we had booked for Saturday night only but the room was ready). The room was on the top... more

Really nice hotel in Chester if you get a good offer
As all hotels in the UK, they are really overpriced, but if you get a good offer, this hotel is certainly worth it. The hotel was renovated in 2007 and is really nice and new. The room which we stayed in was very large, with a big bed and a huge flatscreen TV. We never tried breakfast in the hotel, as we prefer to visit pubs in the area and get our breakfast there. Would definitely go back again if I get a good offer

Noisy!
A reasonable hotel - although being a Macdonalds it doesn't quite have the quality you expect for the price. Right in the centre of Chester it is a shame they don't send detailed instructions on how to find the hotel, as you have to drive through a barrier into a pedestrianised area. The hotel itself is OK, although we had to ask for dressing gowns and blankets. Reception seemed very surprised these weren't in the room already - but we discovered they weren't in any of the rooms of our friends either! Being at the front of the... more

Very enjoyable
We stayed ay Blossoms for 1 night on a Saturday. The location is excellent, the service impeccable, the food excellent. Our only slight disappointment was the size of the room, which was very clean and tidy but rather small. However, for the deal we had, £140 DBB, with a bottle of champagne on arrival, we had absolutely no complaints, would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone planning a break in Chester.

just ok!!!
we stayed in the Blossems from 3-7 October. As you walk into the lobby it all looks good but once you get to the rooms it is different. Our room was very dusty (you could write your name in the dust on the bedside tables). The shelve next to the bath never got cleaned as I put the bottles in a certain way with the tops off and they were there like that all the time. The carpet in the bedroom had blood staines on it and did not get hovered whilst we were there as there were bits on the floor that stayed there during the entire 4 days. It... more

Wonderful
We stayed 2 nights in Chester and Macdonald Blossoms Hotel was excellent. It is located just a short walk ( 2 -5 minutes max.) from the centre of Chester and the room we had was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. The hotel had been recently refurbished and the old world charm has been maintained. The ensuite was very good with bath / shower and this was probably one of the few hotels we have stayed in where the exhaust fan actually works well and when you have showered the mirror is not steamed up. The breakfast was... more

great hotel
Just returned from a week-end stay in this hotel. Absolutely brilliant. We were booked into the hotel for bed and breakfast but we ordered dinner on Saturday night. The food was first class and all the staff were very pleasant. The only problem is the parking in the public car park and getting through the city barrier to go to the hotel. The person at the barrier into the city centre was not very pleasant.
