Severely incompetent staff and...

Severely incompetent staff and booking system led to our rooms being sold to other people whilst we were using the hotel spa, despite the reception desk looking after our luggage.
Rude managers, incompetent staff, below standard rooms (no towels, broken wardrobe, half used toiletries, broken z beds instead of proper beds, so much dust if you moved the phone you could still see its outline on the bedside table), slow service.... I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture.
Not worth one of the 4 stars it's apparently been awarded.

Having just spent Friday to Sunday at this Hotel, we were a bit disappointed that our room was not cleaned and bed not made, no change of towels and no tea/coffee facilities refreshed. Housekeeping came at 5.00 pm to do our room, but we had just got back from a day out and were resting, so I told them not to bother as it was so late in the day. We were not going to make an issue of this but on departure I was told at reception that as I'd booked the break with Tesco vouchers that Tesco now take half the amount back and I should have been informed of this at the time of booking. Everyone at reception also knew all my business. We had 2 evening meals at the Hotel which were in with our deal, I knew about 1 meal but not 2. You are allowed upto £25.00 pp per meal anything over that you will be billed for, which should have been told when booking. So if booking with Tesco vouchers BEWARE you're cheap weekend away with MacDonalds - isn't.
The restaurant and bar staff were excellent, polite and well mannered.
Oh yes and if you like you're good English traditional breakfast, don't expect a fried egg as they only give scrambled!!
