Having stayed here before i was looking forward to my visit, We checked in and was given a room on the 2nd floor, this was by the exit door back to reception so we heard some banging, also outside the room were the heating units again some noise.
The room although in need of a paint was clean except in the corners was dusty carpets and under the mixer tap in the bath was mucky. The restaurant chairs also need a clean.
The evening meal was very enjoyable and the service implicable, breakfast was also freshly cooked and tasty, again the service was good.
On departure i spoke to the receptionist and was informed a program has been put in place to upgrade the restaurant chairs, and a painting schedule for the bedrooms has commenced, I therefore look forward to returning

my birthday was coming up, and when we Saw an advertisement for a short break , we booked it, later when reading reviews we were a little disappointed and maybe though we were too hasty , but in all fairness the hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful , on my birthday they made a big fuss and nothing was too much trouble our room and food were excellent and are about to book a second weekend.
