The nearest ski lifts are 300 metres away. The Hotel is in La Massana, a quiet area just 3 miles from the commercial centre of Andorra and close to the Pal and Arinsal ski resorts. The gondola for the ski resorts leaves from the village centre.

Visited as part of group of 19. Hotel very good. Helpful reception staff, car park across the road (reached via a pedestrian underpass). Stayed in a triple room plenty of space but could have done with a few drawers for the clothes. Restaurant was fine - good choice for both breakfast and evening meal. Only criticism was the bar which although spacious was devoid of atmosphers and on a couple of evenings had run out of draft beer. Not a lot of other bars in La Massana, the Cheers bar next to the hotel was full of smokers, but the Irish Bar in the Hotel Magic about 100 metres from the Cable Car was very good and became our 'local'. Overall I would recommend the hotel and resort and would not have a problem staying there again.

" Sorry to start with the negative... "

Sorry to start with the negative aspect of the holiday but the hotel is in La Massana and if you are looking for a boarding holiday with après ski leave it alone as you will have a bus or taxi journey to get to a bar or club.

Some companies advertise the Marco Polo as being in Arinsal but that is where the journey comes into it as it is actually closer to the Pal resort. This is where the non-British tourists go from my experience as there are not many English speaking people in Pal.

The hotel was excellent as it was always clean, the staff friendly and buffet meals well catered.

So to finish I would have to say La Massana is lovely and the Marco Polo is a great hotel but would have been better for myself if it was 3 miles up the road.
