This is a lovely looking hotel. Only thing missing is a grand entrance - reception. Not really sure where to go on arrival.
The rooms in the main hotel are large, individually laid out, and are of an excellent standard. The only thing missing in my room was an iron - although there was an ironing board!
I believe the rooms in the annex are more modern, and so slightly smaller.
The dining room is lovely with wood panelling. The breakfast is made to order and is of an excellent standard.
The only downside with the location - is that it is a taxi ride into Shrewsbury. And although the grounds and lake are lovely - on a wet autumn evening the bar area is not quite inviting enough to make you want to stay there all evening.
I would definitely go there again.
