Bruce Hotel

Room was shabby, lights x 2 not working .1 light falling off the wall. We had booked a meal in the Bistro, only to be told there was no Bistro! However they did have an area called The Foyer, which was easy to find as it had a sign on the wall saying Cocktail Bar. We had been attending a function at the Hotel which had been arranged the week before we arrived,the hotel had been informed that I required a Gluten Free diet , not that difficult with a weeks notice you would think.How wrong can you be! It would have been more honest to have owned up and said they didn't know how to cater for me, I could have brought my own food. Another guest at our table had ordered shortbread for her desert,a traditional food in Scotland you would say, however the head waiter didn't know the difference between that and a choclate mousse!!!!
That brings us to the pneumatic drill type noise which started at 11pm and didn't stop until 3am. After contacting the night porter we were told, that the hotel has no control over the inhouse night club so we had to wait until the nightclub closed at 3am.
The second night of our stay in East Kilbride was much better, we had moved to another hotel.!!!!!
