Hotel Description:
The nearest ski lifts are 300 metres away. The hotel is in a great position at the foot of the slopes and opposite the start of the Gondola lift. The hotel is a mix of modern comforts and traditional architecture. Apres ski centres around the 100 traditional tavernas in the town and the old town is great for souvenirs. loading...

Grand Arena Hotel Reviews
" This is without doubt the best hotel... "
Submitted By: Mr D Williams
This is without doubt the best hotel in the resort and puts most of the 5 star hotel in England to shame (I know as I stay in them most weeks throughout the UK).
I cant fault this at all the breakfast is amazing but had heard the evening meals aren’t as good we always eat out.
It's dear for the resort i.e. beer cost same as England in the resort, its a third of the price but we only used it as a base and drank/eat out.
I had heard that the staff were unfriendly but we found the opposite - I have never seen such a well run/secure boot/ski room and its right next door to the main gondala.
The bedrooms are massive and so to the bathroom with both bath/shower - TV has full satellite channels.
The wellness centre is fantastic with brilliant heated beds to relax your muscles, big indoor and outdoor pools and loads of steam sauna's, Jacuzzi’s etc.
Trying to book again this March.

Not much control over smokers and pricey evening meals, so we ate out after the first one! Bansko has some great tavernas of excellent value, but you have to search for the non-smoking areas.
Bulgarians generally unfriendly and queues for gondola 1-2 hours unless you got there early. Some easy slopes were actually intermediate and not a great variety.
Very pretty setting but would not rush back.
