Banderitsa Hotel Reviews
" Having just returned from the... "

Having just returned from the Banderitsa I have to say how good it really was. A good sized hotel and quite nice looking, better than any photos I saw, they didn't do it justice. A very clean hotel. All the common areas were well decorated and cared for.
The rooms were fine, spacious, clean with most amenities you could want, although no kettle. Rooms cleaned daily and to a good standard. Food was good, the dinner each evening was chosen from a large menu, no buffets to contend with and almost every meal we had was beautiful. Breakfast was a little less appealing however, a good choice available, but think basic and continental, salami, cheese, and croissant etc, not a huge deal of choice for a fussy 7 year old.
The bars were great, entertainment was on every night in the form of a singer, and a good laugh was always on the cards. A great pool and spa complex, although unfortunately the pool was only open 2 days out of our 7, that was a bit disappointing as it was the only thing for kids really, as the steam and sauna did not allow young children obviously, also the Jacuzzi was freezing. Massage was great and cheap - £21 for an hour.
The shuttle bus is excellent and runs every half an hour to the gondola station and ski depot, excellent and always on time, if its full up he comes straight back for you, a really nice man. The hotel is in a great location in relation to the slopes, really just 5 minutes in the bus to and from and within walking distance from the old town.
On the down side, the staff are not the friendliest you could find, all except Nick, our great waiter - for nothing was ever too much trouble. The rest of the staff were always a little grumpy and one of the barmaids was very rude. The staff in the bar did decide to make up the happy hour rules as they saw fit, telling us it finished at midnight when it clearly stated on the flyers until 1am, and watch your change also, they seem to think that the odd coins are not important.
One big pointer – don’t use the safety deposit boxes in reception. You are not issued with a receipt, and the organisation is a shambles. We thought we had lost our safe key, only to find the maid had put it in the cupboard wrapped in a blanket, but no duplicate keys were available and we had to wait for a lock smith to come and open each safe one by one as no one knew what safe was ours; a shambles honestly.
Other than that on the whole a nice hotel, I’d definitely go back again.

Great location, near old town and not far from the Gondola, shuttle bus every 30 mins anyway!
We had our meals on a half board basis, and was very good value.
Excellent all rounder.. spa baths, swimming pool, all the facilities we needed!
