Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel

rooms are partly OK - some smell like like a pub (smoke), some are very loud due to the locations around. Very unfriendly and disinterested personal - never had such a bad service at all ! Breakfast is not like ****-Hotel, but nice roof garden Not worth value

Stayed there for a week in the summer holidays and had two rooms. Hotel service was overall bad. I have stayed in a lot of hotels with fewer stars than this one, but this is with no doubt the worst I have experienced. Both our rooms had problem with air conditioning. The system was noisy and didn't cool very well. In one of the rooms the noise was so bad that it was impossible to sleep in. Complaints didn’t lead anywhere. we stayed here with our 3 teenage sons and aged parents. before deciding on this hotel i enquired at several 4 and 5* hotels for their best rate to stay fot 2 weeks. this was the only hotel that gave me a realistic price- most of the others quoted rack rates. full points to harvey,on the sales team; he won us over and is a real asset to the company. he showed us rooms prior to our booking in and very efficently got us settled. the indoor swimming pool was very warm and clean. the rooms were immaculate. there was a happy hour in the bar every... more

Located at the "quiet" end (relative term here) of Paceville in St. Julians this hotel is ideally positioned for people wanting to be near the nightlife. The large, air-conditioned, reception/bar area is a welcome relief from the noise and heat outside. Newspapers in several languages were available. Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us. We stayed there in august 2004 for one week and we founded it as an oasis every time we came back to it from our daily trips. Go for it, it was more than correct.

this hotel is a classic, with a spacious lange/ bar area, really good sized rooms and huge beds, freindly well trained staff and fantastic air conditioning, i would highly reccomed it. i felt like a princess the whole time i was there!. There was definatly no smell from the bathroom, it was immaculatly clean!, the whole place was fantastic. Stayed at this hotel 7th to 14th March 2005. Tired and needs refurbishing especially en suite bathrooms which have mould and mildew on walls around bath/shower. Permanent stale smell from bathroom and no bleach or disinfectant appered to be used. When Sales Manager spoken to he said "will be fixed by the summer". We said more interested in time present. Eight out of the fifteen people in the group returned to the UK with stomach bug, we are sure caused by the bathroom conditions as everyone eat at various other locations. Food in... more

The public areas of the hotel are beautiful, but my room smelled of sewage for three of the seven days I stayed there. No satellite TV or movies on demand. 5 English channels, none of which showed movies (Discovery, Eurosport, reality TV and BBC Prime, and Biography). My partner got food poisoning after eating in the restaurant, and the hotel could not find a doctor. They did offer to summon an ambulance, but it was not serious enough for that. The vivaldi was a very pleasant and hospitable hotel. It was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms with a view were lovely but if you're unfortunate to have a "town" view its very noisy at night. The pool area is lovely but small and was very cold in March!!! English channels on the cable. The breakfast was very good and there were good restaurant options ie check out the bar food downstairs or the Indian restaurant around the corner. St julians isn't great but the hotel made up for it!

I had the pleasure to stay at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi in St. Julian's, Malta in September 2003. This hotel is right in the middle of Malta's nightlife, in the heart of what is called Paceville. Rooms were spacious and clean; maid service was excellent and soundproof, which is a must, since the area is full of bars and discos.
