Its fair to say if i had to sum this hotel up it would be bouncing. When we first arrived we were given a room on the first floor it looked like a cess-pit and when we opened the cupboard doors they fell off, we went to the shop and when we came back the ceiling had caved in. I had 100 euros stolen out of the room on our first night. The next day we were moved to the ground floor with a pool view, we had sliding windows and they didn't lock so we would just climb in and out of the window to go swimming. Despite all this we had an amazing time and i would DEFINATELY go back to the del mar!! The staff couldnt speak english which was hillareearse. We took all of the furniture out of our rooms and had a mad hatters tea party. We also enjoyed the luxurious swimming pool filled with cigarette butts. we partied all day all night and had a great view of ibizas version of the australian outback. deffo reccomend this hotel!!!!

came back from ibiza in july after 11 nights in the hotel with 7 lads. we got to know everyone on our floor and basicly had a huge party on it everynight. im suprised to see how many people have been robbed especially considering we had a pair of 250 quid bose speakers on veiw alot of the time. we had 2 rooms far apart from each other so we compained that we saw a cockroach and we got moved to rooms next door wich ws good, also someones room got flooded while we were there and they got moved to ibiza rocks hotel. we never had any complaints from the reception staff telling us to shut up wich was good. the shower got you clean even if it did flood the floor and the beds gave you a good nights sleep. the fridge kept our booze cold and the air con kept me cold! the pools pretty shoddy and not much space to sunbathe but the beach is within a stones throw so no need to be round the pool really. all in all we had a good 11 nights for less than 300 quid.
this place is great for a cheap holiday where all you need is a bed for a few hours a night.
most imporantly, this is most definatly not a place for families!

i have never really listened to reviews on hotels before, but i will definatly be doing so from now on. this hotel was discusting! it could hardly even be called a hotel. when we got there we were greeted by a spanish receptionist that couldnt speak a word of english, this is ridiculus seens as half of the people that stay there are english holiday makers. We were told where our room was, there was no safety deposit boxes in the room they were in the reception area with no cameras around. when your 7 flights up your not goin to feel safe with all your possesions down there alone. The balcony doors didnt lock nor the windows. the toilet didnt flush and the shower was filthy and hanging in the bath. The telly or air con didnt work and the wardrobe stunk to the point where we couldnt hang our clothes up. we then got talking to our neighbours who warned us to sleep with our things under our pillows as there were break ins in the night whilst people were sleeping. They had phones, cameras and 400 euros stolen whislt they werer asleep in their beds. We complained the next day to the receptionist who agreed to move us, when we were in the process of being moved we were told to wait for a voucher, whilst at the reception we got talking to 2lads who told us they had been told they had to pay £250 to be moved which wasnt the same in our case. we were given the vouchers and told we had to walk in the heat to the new hotel. We were given some brief directions to the new hotel untill my partner was discussing what we had heard about the break ins, everybody was saying it was inside jobs and this wasnt the first break in we had heard about, we were then screamed at by the receptionist, told to get our things and get out before the police were rang and we left. This place was a dump and i would never stay there again.

Just got back from doin 4 days in this hotel. We read the reviews before we went and wasnt really impressed with what we read!we got there n the receptionist was fine checked us in and gave us our keys. 1 of the rooms had a problem with the patio door but we simply just asked to change rooms and we was moved straight away no problem!everytime we needed something or help the staff were kind to do this. Yes its noisy and sometimes there is glass on the floor from some drunken fall with a bottle and lots of parties going on in the hotel rooms but what do you expect your in ibiza its not going to be all hush hush.the hotel and rooms could do with new lick of paint and modernising abit but what do you expect for £8 a night.i didnt hear of anyone or any rooms getting robbed while we was there.overall i was quite impressed with it 4 what we paid!!

Something should be done about this place. It is quite clearly a setup where they charge about 10euro a night to stop there but then fleece you out of hundreds on arrival.
We left the room for 1 hour, came back and everything was gone. All our clothes, mobiles etc
Nobody wants to know and even the Police and some old ***** working at the station were extremely patronising.
The rooms themselves are dangerous and filthy. Ours had the air con ripped clean out the wall and loads of wires left hanging out.
AVOID. (My friend read all these reviews aswell and only decided to mention it on the way back!!)

we have just come back from del mar hotel on the 17th september 2010 and we were disgusted to be honest. it was extremely dirty and there was a strong smell of sewage the whole time. the taps had a film of dirt all over them and there was paint coming off the cieling through damp. bedding was changed twice while we were there and the floors were dirty. two hotel rooms that i know of were broken into and all passports, money and electricals were taken and nothing done about it. you have to pay for the tvs, air con, radio, anything at all and the tv only had one channel which is sky news. everything is extremely overpriced so would reccommend doubling the amount of euros you take. there is no bar, just rooms and a pool which always has empty beer cans and litter all around it.

Myself and 4 friends stayed in this hotel for 10 days at the begining of September. I stayed in this hotel last year aswell and whilst the security was poor we didnt have any complaints about it. However this year made up for that!!
We came back to the room one morning around 7am. Woke up at about 12 to find our room had been broken into. My iphone, ipod, watch and cash had gone. My mate had his camera, wallet and cash taken aswell. The strange thing was that the door to our room was locked and there was no sign of forced entry so it looks as if someone used a key.
When we went to report it at reception the lady didn't want to know and conveniently couldn't speak very good English anymore!!
We spent about 30 mins at the police station filling out forms and they said that they have had a few instances from the same hotel.
There is no security at the hotel and anyone can just walk around the hotel whether they are a guest or not.

Me and 3 friends stayed here for 4 nights in Sept. It was cheap so we decided to ignore the reviews & book anyway as we didn't plan to be in it that much. That was a BIG MISTAKE. Balcony didn't lock, room was dirty, cockroaches in the room. Self catering consisted of 2 plates and 2 pots with a fridge that was full of water and hairs. You can't even sunbathe around the pool as there are only a few sunbeds. I could have coped with the above but worst of all we were ROBBED of all our cash and my friend had her i phone stolen while we WERE ASLEEP IN BED. 900 euros in total.Loads of other people were robbed and the reception when asked to phone the police said 'there was no answer'. Lots of people think that its an inside job but the hotel staff were totally uninterested.DO NOT STAY HERE !!! £50 each to stay there ended up costing us 950.Pay extra to stay safe. People in your room while your asleep is scary. Definately do not take kids.

i came back from del mar apartments on the 7th september 2010 and was glad to be back! i stayed with 2 other lads and we all had something nicked! we lost bags, credit cards, euro's but they left mobiles and everybody's wallet except mine! the staff must let their friends/acomplaces have the master keys to peoples apartments as a few other rooms got the same treatment! all the groups went to the reception to kick off and nobody was interested in helping! ibiza has a realy bad reputation for people getting robbed this year (so the police said when we went to complain!)so stay somewhere were you have read good reviews about security rather than location or atmosphere! the hotel itself was pretty basic, ideal location but the place isnt very safe to stay!

Just came back from a week of staying in this hotel. After reading some of the reviews was not looking forward to staying but had a fab time!! Our rooms, they was 8 of us staying there in total in diffrent rooms, were clean and had no problems in them at all. The staff we freindly too. The maids came everyday and if we were in the room asked if we wanted clean towels or sheets.
We had nothing stolen, one of our party had a set of headphones go missing but when we asked at reception the had been handed in by cleaning staff who, as he hadnt unpacked, thought the room was empty, and he got them back! On the first night we had a couple of people open our door, but that was because they we drunk, as we were, and disorientated. The corrider was dark when we got there, but they have lightswitch for you to turn lights on!! We used the pool, although it was closed. We had music on most nights as did other people who where staying there, everyone on our floor was friendly and we enjoyed staying there, and would stay there again. Its fine for what you need, somewhere to sleep after clubbing!!
You can hire a remote for the air con for 20 euros which you get back at the end of your holiday. Every thing worked ie fridge, cooker, and for 20 euros you can hire a remote for the air con which you get back. Location was excellent to, nice bar right opposite and just round corner from bars and clubs, and the taxi rank. All in all and great place to stay for a clubb hols in Ibiza!
