Book now! You'll love it and will have no regrets. We stayed for 10 nights from 13 August 2011 and could not fault the place. We even asked if we could stay longer but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. All the positive reviews I've read on this site are correct. ... more

Would return to this hotel!
I have never stayed at an Iberostar before, but would certainly stay again. We got upgraded to an appartment on arrival for some reason, which was a great surprise, but apart from that, the first thing I noticed was how clean everything was. This is something I find very important! The bathroom was spotless, I breathed a sigh of relief! There was no kettle or toaster etc, but a fridge. The hotel is in a great location, with shops, restaurants etc along the (very busy!) road outside, and a burgerking. There are lots of fake designer bags etc to be bought..I found they were cheaper in the shop right opposite than at the market in Alcudia (on a Tuesday & Sunday I think). The beach is right there on your doorstep at Alcudia Park, and what a lovely beach, excellent for children..you can walk out for ages and it is shallow! We went on the beach everyday, but if you wanted to sit around the pool I would say you would have to reserve your chair early, as it was very crowded there. There was entertainment every night, and the food (buffet style) was amazing. Nearly everyone was all inclusive, and there was wine, pina colada, soft drinks tea & coffee etc on tap. You could also help yourself to ice creams. There aren't many down points, but the ones worth mentioning..this hotel is wonderful for families, but if you are a young couple, there isn't much in the way of lively bars. You would have to get a cab into Alcudia, and even then there isn't much. There was an awful smell in the corridor outside our room! Not sure what it was, but I could smell it in the mornings and it made me gag. We were in a room near the road, and every night a small cabaret act sang songs until quite late..VERY loud!! Booming in fact. So if you wanted an early night or have children etc, take earplugs. I was surprised at most of the staff not speaking any English. I was trying to ask for a snack at the beach bars, and they had no idea what I was talking about. It's easier if you take a spanish dictionary and try and say things in Spanish. If you need to use the internet for work etc, I would advise taking a laptop. There was only one (quite slow) computer, and always a queue of people waiting. Or, if you go to the english pub 'The Swan' up the road, you can use it there cheaper, and they have several computers. Apart from that, I would recommend this hotel. The staff were all VERY friendly, (even the ones who didn't speak English!), and the grounds, pool and beach were tidy and pleasant. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families who want a quiet and relaxed beach holiday.
Best Service You can Get
I stayed with my pregnant wife and baby. The hotel is close to the beach - 30 meters away. The gardens and pool are ideal for small children. It is quiet yet not dull. There is a great mixture between age groups. We came across mainly German travellers and visitors but also English, Irish and Dutch. The food is excellent, the hotel is spotless. It has been renovated. All rooms face the sea and not the somehwhat busy street behind it. which is aligned with cheap restaurants and shops. The entertainement is very very good and the quality and level of friendliness of the staff is superb . The rooms are spotlessly clean. Maybe on a lesser note are the beds. As in many Mediterranean hotels they have seperate beds even if you order a double room.Another small thing is that you have to pay 8 euros a day if you want to lie underneath an umbrella with deckchairs on the beach . Thsi is not to do with Iberostar.
On the whole, Good Holiday
as a party of 12 we arrived to thunder storms and heaviest rain ive ever seen! got to reception and found out that the rooms which we had booked, we now no longer available to us as they had over booked! after heated discussions with the manager he apologised and offered us all inclusive for the last 4 days we were there (we were HB) which was brilliant as the drinks were on the pricey side. Anyway, the hotel grounds are gorgeous, and beach is great, but you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach(???) which i found weird, about 3 euros a day. The staff are very friendly and a laugh, all speak english, even though "the germans" were the majority. Nothing bad to say about them but they love a stare lol dont know why maybe us brits are too hot, who knows. Evening entertainment is good, apart from lion king was in german:that was different! The nightclub is good for after the bar shuts. You are in the middle of no where but buses will take you to Alcudia and Can Picafort, but as an 18 year old girly, i prefered Can Picafort to alcudia, not as far away. But to watch football (go on you horns) go to alcudia but the chavvy bit (say to the bus driver the bellevue, he will know where it is) as drinks are loads cheaper. Anyway this hotel IS lovley and we has a great time but as an All inclusive may be a bit isolated.
First Class
I stayed at this hotel 18/04/2007 until 21/04/2007, a 3 day period prior to moving to a larger family holiday in a villa at Puerto Pollenca. First impressions very clean and efficient, as per the usual standards for Iberostar Hotels. I was travelling with my wife and 18 month old son. The apartment was spacious, clean and with a kitchen area. There is no microwave. The hotel is situated on the beach, which is fantastic with shallow sea for about 60 yards. The Hotel Beach Bar is up the steps from the beach. The restauraunt is the typical Spanish buffet style, and is excellent. The Entertainment Team are excellent and keep all the kids form many European countries very happy. The hotel is definately a drive away from Alcudia old town and the Port. Both worth a visit. A little tip, we booked the hotel direct on halfboard. But when we got there we upgraded to all inclusive at 14 euros per night per adult. Great value, particularly if you like a drink or too!! Overall, highly recommended, plenty to do outside the hotel (including supermarkets, chemists and banks etc)and would return.
Fantastic !!
I stayed at this hotel on the 10th - 17th April 07. The weather wasn't the best to start a holiday off, but near the end of the holiday the weather picked up and got very hot! The hotel well, it’s excellent! It’s located right next to the long white sandy beach. The staff at the hotel are VERY friendly and will go out of there way to help you and make the most of your stay there. Ok a lot of GERMANS do go to this hotel, but who cares. When I visited this hotel it was packed with German’s who were on German cycle holidays. But they did no harm. The animation team are fantastic aswell, providing activities all day for the kids and they speak many languages all of them. One of the entertainers spoke, English, German, Spanish, French, and Dutch. They provided entertainment every night in the concert room, from 9pm - 10pm. Many nights there where some acts, we had Robbie Williams’s tribute and Celtic dancers which were very good. Our room was an apartment, which was very good. We were in block 4, :). The rooms are very spacious and bright. They have a kitchen with rings, fridge cupboard etc and a dining table. Then there was a sofa bed with a fold out bed underneath it. The room also had a television and plenty of storage. The bathroom was very spacious aswell. The bedroom was very big and with doors leading onto the very large balcony over looking the pool and the sea. The cleaners did a fantastic job of cleaning the rooms and throughout the hotel! The all said hello and spoke very good English. The restaurant is VERY large aswell. They have a lot of varied food and its very good choice. The hotel offers, Self Catering, Half Board and All Inclusive. The hotel is located outside the main road, and you can catch a bus into Port Alcudia for about I think 1.10€ which is very cheap, you can also catch a bus to Can Picafort for 1.80€ I think. Along the main road outside the hotel there is plenty of shops, bars, supermarkets, Burger king etc. All in all my holiday was fantastic apart from the bad weather at the beginning of the holiday. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, and elderly people. It’s a really lovely hotel and doesn’t deserve a 4* it should be 5*!! Excellent job Iberostar and hotel Alcudia Park.
Excellent non high season vacation spot
From reading other reviews of this hotel, I decided to add mine because we were there in May for the 5th time. Of all the places we've been over the years, we found this hotel to be one of the friendliest, best located, well kept, asteticly friendly, cleanest, and nicest hotels in its category. Since our child didn't begin school until this year, we were able to take advantage of mid-May and late September specials, and at those times the problems people are talking about here are non-existent, and the weather and water is perfect. The reason we kept going back was because it WAS/IS a great place to spend 2 weeks, but it looks like it's the same as any hotel on Mallorca in the sense that Mallorca is best enjoyed during late Spring and early Fall.
Rubbish
Returned from this hotel last week would not tell any one else to go there full of germans couldnt get sun bed, put in room next to stage which took 7 days to be moved. took 3 days for extra bath towel for my son and 3 requests reception quite rude, also no bed or sheets first night of hols for my son. doesnt cater for s/c guests thats why next year its HB or AL. only good thing about it is that its right on the beach but where the all inclusive guests bring down they drinks in plastic cups get left on beach. have stayed in better 3 star hotels. was hard to get drinks as all was catered for for were All Inclusive.
Spotlessly clean
Perfect location on the beach surrounded by loads of bars and restaurants for the evening. Very little room around the swimming pool as sunbeds are lined up like sardines! We hired sunbeds on the beach for two weeks, which we were able to reserve. Our apartment was small, only had one single sofa and single pull out bed, but spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the apartment did not have a kettle, toaster or microwave. However, a kettle and toaster can be hired from the hotel at an extra cost. Daily entertainment program was good, participated in the majority of the activites. Adam, a member of the animation team, was very good and all hotel staff were friendly and polite. Would recommend this hotel, even with the sun bed issues. If you are looking for a good meal out try Topo Gigios restaurant, which is about 100 yards down the road from the hotel.
Go for it, Excellent hotel to travel with kids
Reading the previous reviews pretty much said it all, so I just give mine in order to reinforce the major ideas about this hotel. This 4star hotel is locatel in front of the Playa de Muro beach (hot water, fine sandy beach, a bit crowded but it's ok, you can sunbath near the pool and go swim in the sea just like that. Facitities are excellent: the buffet, the bar's, the rooms (its an aparthotel), the pools. Also it is arborized which gives you excellent shadows if you want to avoid sunburns. It is not a luxury hotel, so you won't be amazed with the lobby, the room or the buffet, though. The staff is very good, comprehensive (kids do test their patiente!), and after a couple of days they tend to personalize when they communicate with the guests. And the entertainment was very good also with the highlight being the evening daily shows. The food was very good, Wine was excellent, and the bars had a lot of different snacks, icecreams, drinks, etc. (many were self service!) I would recommend this hotel to families travelling with kids, and the price paid was fair. It is not pricey compared to other same level hotels in the same area. A reviewer form Lisbon, Portugal
OK BUT YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE GERMANS
Just come back from this hotel, which itself is very clean and lovely grounds, it was packed though so the sun beds were a nightmare unless you are up early to reserve them. The hotel mainly caters for the germans so the food was aimed at them really. The staff mainly speak spanish and german and the signs have english as the third translation. The entertainment and kids club was aimed as germans too but luckily my children still played with the others even though they didnt know what they were saying too each other! We booked an aprtment which was very clean not too large though. We had a kitchenette but be warned no kettle or toaster just a small fridge. 90% of the hotel is on all inclusive so its a bit strange ordering drinks and food and having to pay for it when no one else is. My little boy often helped himself to drinks and ice cream and no one realised! Overall ok holiday but will go somewhere else next year who value their english clients more.
