Do not got to this location, the rooms are not cleaned and the bedding was not changed in 2 weeks, the apartments are set in a pine forest which blocks the light and retains the damp, the rooms are poorly signposted and hard to find at first, the toilet seat was broken and hot water was not it was barely warm.
The reception did nothing about the complaints and the resort itself apart from a couple of bars shut down at 10.30pm. There is a small train to Umag but the last one was 10.45pm and it didn’t run at all if it rained, I appreciate that we went towards the end of the season but the many beachside bars advertised were hit and miss and didn’t open till 11-12am and not at all if it rained.
The resort was full of German and Italian holidaymakers and the reception scattered the UK guests all over the resort, it was 4 days before we met another couple that were on our flight, this resort was that bad we hired a car for the second week to get away from the place.

The Sol Polynesia apartments are a disgrace. Set in a pine forest which blocks out the sunshine.
We did not have a change of bedding in 2 weeks, the place was unkempt and scruffy. There was no transport from the reception to our room, which was poorly signposted and over half a mile away.
When we went in September, most of the beach bars didn’t open till the afternoon, if at all. There was no night life and the restaurants all served the same menu and shut at 11pm.
If you got the tractor train to Umag the variety was a bit better however the last train back was 11:45pm. The place was so bad that we hired a car for the second week and when we got out of the resort, we found that Croatia is a fantastically vibrant country with stunning villages and countryside.
We have complained to Airtours and they sent us a voucher, which we promptly sent back and to this date, they have not replied.
We have two recommendations: Don’t book with Airtours. Don’t go to the Sol Polynesia.
