Hilton Maidstone Hotel

We had a one night stay. Lovely Reception/lobby area, nice and spacious with plenty of seating. Nicely decorated bar and I especially liked the Cezch beer they had (can't spell it)! Our room was in need of refurbishment but still comfortable and spacious. Good choice for breakfast (hot/cooked and continential), but looked better than it tasted, if you know what I mean. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back.

We stayed for one night and, as we had to be flexible on our travel arrangements we paid £155 for an executive double room. We would have stayed at the nearby Marriott, but unfortunately that was fully booked. The room we were allocated was on the first floor facing the road going past the hotel. We spent two nights at the Hilton Maidstone having booked one of their weekend deals over the phone with their central reservations (a very pleasant lady in Florida). I later called the hotel direct and requested a room not on the ground floor which was granted together with it being a quiet room as offered by the person I spoke to. Booked a last minute w/end away with my hubby - first visit to Maidstone and to this hotel. We had a fab time from start to finish - all reception, bar & restaurant staff were friendly & chatty. We even got nightlife advice from some :) Food was nice but little option available to me as a vegetarian - although veggie sausages at breakfast were a pleasant surprise. We had breakfast in our room on the last day and this was just as good as going into to restaurant ourselves. Would recommend without doubt.

We staid at the Hilton Maidstone for one night. Having driven for four hours, we were looking forward to a nice dinner and a good night sleep. The hotel is a bit run down, but ok. Staff at the front desk were bickering when we checked in and when we checked out, and sighing quite a lot ..not a pleasant experience. First experience of staying at the Hilton Maidstone. Little disappointed by the price of the rooms and the difficulty of booking on line. No facilities for a normal single room or a normal twin room. I booked four rooms all for the same price . On arrival it would seem that three of the party were upgraded and one remained on the first floor. The only difference we could see was the lack of bottled water (costing £1.60 I know because if bought them from the bar) and the bath robes. I found the accommodation in this hotel to be below average. The room was extremely shabby and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The food was very uninteresting - I certainly would not bother with an evening meal there - an odd array of dishes which certainly weren't tasty! The desserts weren't worth bothering with either! Breakfast was ok but all in all I wouldn't go out of your way to stay here - I would certainly class this as a 2.5 - 3 star hotel but with 4/5 star prices!

Stayed here for 5 nights on business and on 3 mornings there was no hot water. Reception staff claimed it was a result of a different problem each morning but a member of housekeeping said it happens every time the hotel is full as the boiler cannot cope. As a business hotel, the food is good and the drink the same price as the local pub. Building work on the Esat side starts at dawn, Give it a miss if you are looking for a weekend break as it is near nothing.

Our family of five just stayed with this Hilton for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. The furnishings were a little dated but everything was clean. The pool area was wonderful and the included breakfast was superb. 5 minutes to Leeds Castle. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again and would recommend to others. Great rate of 111 pounds including huge breakfast for all.

I stayed just one night here having booked at a very reasonable rate on the internet.. Unfortunately the pool was out of action as they are currently working on it. My room was huge - I had booked a double double, but had it all to myself as my friend was unable to come with me. Very comfortable bed, and ameneties good. A few criticisms though - I was in a ground floor room just round from the restaurant. I found this very noisy - in as much as the door is completely inadequate as far as being soundproof.
