Comments:  Dont listen to the bad reviews on here, this place is brill, the rooms where lovely, big and vey clean. The location is perfect. The staff are lovely. When we first got there ( me and my boyfriend, age 22) we thought there was nothing there and we where in the middle of no where as it was dark, but when we went for a walk the next day, we couldnt of been more wrong, there where shops, restaurants all roud us. There is a very short walk to fig tree beach, which is stunning! Please come here if you want to go to pataras as this hotel is perfect for everything you need xx

Comments:  you cannot fail to like this ideally situated clean hotel(up a slight incline), good for couples/families, the staff are mostly great and overall quality the best you can expect for the price you pay. the Olympic restuarant(150mtrs away) is a must for a meal out. we would definatley go back.

Comments:  I would definately recommend Lantiana Appartments, I couldn't fault it the rooms were cleaned every day and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the appartments was also very good and reasonably priced but there is plenty of choice on the street as well... Ayia Napia is only a short taxi ride away (about 10 mins) if you're looking for something a little livelier... If going to Ayia Napia would recommend the Limelight Restaurant or Fiji the food was fantastic...

Comments:  This was our 4th year at the Lantiana so that really speaks for itself. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I am slightly disabled, but the complex and the resort are very disabled friendly. Our favourite restaurants were Rocks (a steak house that served everything from steaks, scampi, etc to typical Cypriot dishes) and Molti (steaks, chicken dishes, pizzas etc) - both restaurants we've been to over the last few years and the staff all remembered us and were so charming (as are all the Cypriot people) and also a new one that just opened the day before we came home called Planet Protaras (freshly made pizzas and pasta dishes). It was excellent and we would certainly have eaten there more than once if it had opened earlier on in our holiday. I would like to wish them every success with their new restaurant. I would also like to thank all the staff at the Lantiana for making the last 4 years very memorable holidays.

Comments:  This was a very friendly hotel. The apartments were very adequate.

The lounge was quite large whilst the balcony was small but okay. The bedroom was bigger that most apartments. Maid service was every day except on the maid's day off. Clean towels and bedding every day as well.

The food at the hotel was excellent and affordable.

The Figtree Bay beach was a 10 minute stroll away which meant that the hotel was far enough away from the noisy town centre.

The real bonus for this holiday was the excellent staff that could not do enough for us. We intend to return next year. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you Lantiana!

Comments:  We went with our 15 yr old we had a great time. Our room was cleaned every day but was not very spacious. The cleaning maids, bar staff and reception were all very good.

Only down fall there was not very much for a teenager to do there is only entertainment on twice weekly. Protaras is clean and very safe to walk about in. We went self catering but we had some meals at the apt and food is great.

Pool area is kept clean also the grounds are kept clean we had no faults air conditioning is great. When you are down the town of Protaras try cheers the food is great and staff are very good.

If you fancy the pool or take a trip to beach during July or august you have to grab sun beds early as they don’t take long filling up.

While we were there, there was a wild cat that came around all the time it is lovely golden striped it had kittens before we left hope they ok so make sure you keep some scraps for them ha-ha.

Comments:  This definitely isn't a 4 star hotel. The Rising Star is far superior (I have stayed there) and is only rated 3 stars. I only wish I'd gone back there.

The rooms weren't cleaned very well, although the cleaners worked hard and very long hours, just think they had too much to do. The towels were extremely shabby and the bathroom was tiny. You couldn't open the wardrobe door properly because it hit the beds, and storage was totally inadequate for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

All sunbeds were gone by 8.30 although it was peak season. But the biggest problem was some very ignorant guests were leaving half eaten plates of food and drinks under sunbeds and these were never cleared away until the following morning, hence they had quite a severe ant problem around the pool.

The pool area was also very cramped and you were literally lying 6 inches away from the sunbed next to you and there was no way you could move them. The play area was a joke and lead straight onto the main front road.

On the plus side all staff were extremely friendly and tried very hard to please you and they were all lovely, but I would not recommend it and I wouldn't go back there.

Comments:  Reasonable accommodation, very small bathroom. Pool area quite small but adequate for hotel size. Rooms cleaned regularly. Towels changed every other day but towels a bit shabby.

Not in the same league as the Rising Star (which is only rated 3 star).Entertainment very poor but that is not really a problem because there is plenty to do on the strip.

Staff very friendly and speak excellent English. Easy access to the main strip by a lit path.
Very close to Fig Tree Bay via the path.

The temperatures were over 40 degrees for the whole 2 weeks! Excellent resort this was 4th time in 5 years. Plenty of restaurants, try the Corner it's very close and serves excellent food.

Comments:  2 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main drag (yet you can’t hear a sound), with the widest range of bars and restaurants to suit anyone’s desires.

All the locals congregate there on Fridays and Saturdays for the fig tree bay beach and bars etc, if they prefer it to neighbouring places then it can't be bad.

Accommodation was a 1 bedroom apartment facing the back car parking area but still with a sea view. We had the shade on our balcony first thing in the morning which gave us the chance to acclimatize to the coming 35 deg heat.

2 adults in main bedroom and the two 16 year old girls on put up beds in the living area ( Both air conditioned at no extra charge ), There for two weeks, room cleaned every day bar two, even the cleaner deserves a day off.

Towels changed every day if you wanted, otherwise every other day along with bed linen. For those people not interested in Greek television, Four out of the nine channels we had on our TV were English after about 1 pm until gone midnight, but we weren’t there to watch TV.

Hired a car for 4 days did 600 kilometres to find out we were in the best place to start with ( Protaris ).

Pool excellent, Pool area excellent, staff excellent, food excellent. It’s the first place on our list for next year’s holiday. They are into the Euro next year so should be cheaper as well, can't lose ?

Comments:  This was my 3rd time to Protaras but 1st time at the Lantiana and it was lovely.

The apartments were just as expected with a lovely view over the pool and looking onto the main road of Protaras.

Lantiana is in a superb location only 5 minute walk to the busy bars and restaurants and yet you can’t hear any noise in the apartment.

I would recommend Protaras and the Lantiana to anyone I will definitely be back.

Comments:  Just returned from a 2 week holiday with my partner and two children aged 16 and 11.

Although I do agree that the rooms should have be better than they were (basic and not what I would call 4 star) they were comfortable enough, and had everything that was needed for a self catering holiday, I don't agree with the two previous reviews.

The staff at the Lantiana were great George the barman was a laugh; Emily was good at arranging the daytime entertainment and kept both adults and children entertained. The pool is a good size and there are plenty of sunbeds however they are usually all taken by 11am.

Lantiana is conveniently situated far back enough to be quiet but only a minutes’ walk to the main strip and a few minutes’ walk to Fig Tree Bay; which is one of the best beaches in Cyprus. There are lots of bars and restaurants along the main strip as well as an abundance of shops.

We took a bus ride to the Waterpark in Ayia Napa while we were there and had a great time; it’s definitely worth going to as is Ayia Napa itself. We have been to Protaras before and will go again, this was however our first time at the Lantiana Gardens and I highly recommend it.

Comments:  Very basic accommodation. Certainly not 4 star as advertised by Airtours.

Poor storage space and small un-inviting bathroom. Tiny balcony with a terrible view. Decor and furniture dated (i.e. late 80's). Kitchen not adequate for cooking.

These apts are not for anyone wanting luxury or home comforts. TV in room was in Greek, couldn't understand the point in that as 99% of the residents were English speaking. Sun terrace area and pool quite small and cramped when apts are in full occupancy.

Location was excellent with only a short walk to the beach/shops/bars/restaurants etc. Staff were helpful and very friendly.

Airtours need to stop advertising this accommodation as 4* as I felt it would just about reach 3*.

Very disappointed at standard of accommodation and will not return to these apts.

Comments:  Have just returned from a holiday in Cyprus, we had booked to stay at the Lantiana Gardens but as soon as we arrived, we knew we had made the wrong choice of accommodation.

We had booked for 4 adults in a 1 bed apartment, our party was 2 adults and 2 teenage children age 13 and 15. The rooms are extremely basic and small they were more like a youth hostel room than a 4A holiday apartment.

Do not go here if you like any sort of luxury, in our opinion the 1 bed apartment would only be suitable for perhaps 2 adults and 2 small children, but certainly not 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 teenage children.

Also there is very little storage and a tiny bathroom which 2 people would have difficulty getting into at the one time. We phoned the rep within 5 mins of arriving at 3am and explained we could not stay there.

We were moved the following day after paying £150cyp. We were transferred to the Thalassaki beach village in Ayia Napa which is far superior although supposed to be the same star rating.

We are attempting to get a refund back from Airtours as we feel these apartments are not suitable for 4 adults. We have stayed in 1 bed apartments all over the world and these were by far the most basic we have ever seen.

Comments:  We (2 adults and 2 kids) have just returned from 2 weeks at the Lantiana and can honestly say we cannot wait to go back.

The staff are excellent, very helpful and always checking that everything is ok. The food is good and the BBQ on a Saturday is excellent quality and value.

The location is ideal, being less than 2 mins walk to the main street where all the shops, bars, and restaurants are (we recommend Olympus down to the right) and about 5 mins walk to the gorgeous Fig Tree Bay. Meals for the 4 of use cost about £35CYP (£44 a time so not that cheap!)

We had excellent weather, not one poor day, with temps always around 28 to 34 degrees (would imagine that high summer would be pretty uncomfortable) . The pool was great and before the half term week, the kids had it almost to themselves.

We hired a car from Thisvi (on main street), slightly cheaper than going through rep and went to see Famagusta, the ghost town - worth a visit, but wasn’t fussed about Larnaca. Nissi Beach at Ayia Napa is nice too.

Definitely would go to Protaras again and would make a point of booking at the Lantiana!

Comments:  Just got back from a relaxing week at Lantiana Gardens. That’s exactly what is was.

Didn't know what to expect with weather but apart from one cloudy day it was beautiful. Rooms were very clean and staff very friendly.

Close to bars and restaurants, our fav The Love Boat - excellent entertainment and cheap cocktails! Would recommend especially just for couples but sure kids would love it too.

We were just out of season so quite quiet during day but am sure there will be much more going on in height of season.

Really enjoyed holiday.
