The hotel completely met our needs including cycle storage and was quite OK about wheeling them through. When I crashed with minor injuries they were again very helpful. For a basic hotel in a great location by the beach, shops, restaurants and main bus town bus stop it is... more

Found this Hotel/Hostel to be clean and the staff very friendly. At night however the streets were very noisy from traffic and folks returning back to their accommodation after having spent a good night out, just like any other busy town centre. If you live in the country side... more

Me & my partner stayed at the Eolo for a week at the end of August. The Eolo is basic but still has everthing you need, only complaints were the shower curtain did not keep any water in and everytime we had a shower the bathroom floor got flooded..also there was no air... more

Oh my good God what a [--] HOLE!! I am going to start off by listing the VERY few good points about this "hotel" which me and my friend stayed in (we are two young rebellious youths who really thought "It's only two stars but what do we really need?") There was a nice... more

I think people need to remember when they book this hotel that it is a 2 star and as such does its job very well. The rooms are small and basic, but clean, functional, with clean sheets and towels. It is centrally situated next to a traffic island, and therefore you can... more

I have just returned from my first single holiday, where I stayed at the Hotel Eolo in Puerto Pollensa. I was aware before I arrived that I would not have a balcony. I was not aware at how small the room would be. I would describe it as a 'broom cupboard'. It was a very... more

After reading many of the reviews, I chose this hotel expecting it to be clean but basic. Arriving I found my single room and I was disgusted. It was no bigger than a cupboard, dark dull wood panelling and a tiny window. I refused this room and was shown to another which... more

Only saving grace of this hotel are the friendly reception staff, who were always polite and anxious to help, especially Susan. Noise unbearable from traffic, bin lorries and pedestrians, including one night a particularly nasty confrontation between Spanish girls!! Rooms... more

We read lots of really bad reports about the staff and rooms at the Eolo, so it was with trepidation we went to Puerto Pollensa. When we arrived at the resort it was raining 'Great we thought, rubbish hotel and pouring with rain. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted... more

Small and Friendly
My wife and I didn't have very high expectations of this hotel, having read some of the other reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived we got a nice welcome from the person who was on reception, and a good-sized and pleasant room. There was an excellent view from the balcony across part of the harbour and out to the bay. The bathroom was a bit on the basic side but functional, and the beds were fine. In the morning we enjoyed sitting outside to have breakfast . It was the usual continental breakfast, excellent coffee, I... more
Hotel Eolo
After staying in the Hotel Eolo for a week early July, I have to say that all in all the hotel was good for the price. Certainly no frills, but fit our needs well. The rooms were cleaned daily. Shower/bathroom worked fine. Staff were friendly (except the night porter.) Balcony had seating for two to watch the world go by if we fancied a break from wandering. The pizzeria downstairs was lovely as we could either sit in or take upstairs to the balcony. That said though, the great choice of restaurants meant we ate out nearly every night... more
The worst place to stay in Pto Pollensa in summer
Tiny rooms, old fashion, not very clean. Staff?? Breakfast, is better to go next door, its horrible. But the worst thing in summer time is the noice at night. In 6 days I coudnt sleep all the night long without awake 2 or 3 times.
Good Value but Noisy
The room was clean and basic, fantastic views over the bay. the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was basic but the evening meals were good value. you have to remember this is a low price hotel and you get what you pay for.
Small hotel, with loverly views, if a litte noisy
My husband and I stayed at this hotel the first two weeks of October 2006. For the money we paid we had good value. Our room overlooked the harbour with spectacular views each way, as it had two large windows, but no balcony. The two windows made it cool and airy in a very hot spell. Room service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, if a little unimaginative by the second week, as the same was served each morning. The only downside to a lovely holiday was the noise from the traffic passing by... more
This place is the worst I have ever stayed in.
Book somewhere else. It is not very clean. Very noisy as it is next to a night club. Very few rooms have air conditioning. Most rooms have a terrace but they are filthy. The buffet breakfast is the worst I have had anywhere too. We would have been more comfortable sleeping on the beach down the road.
Excellent location, but pretty basic
The best thing about this hotel is its central location right in the heart of Porta Pollenca, with everything in easy reach. For this reason, it can be really noisy at almost every hour of the day and night, but we didn't mind this too much. It is clean but fairly basic. We were not happy with the first room we were put in as there were two large holes in the ceiling directly above the shower cubicle where water would run through presumably if someone in the room above had a shower. The drain in the cubicle also seemed to be blocked as... more
Small but nice
I stayed here in July 2003, with my son aged 9. It was a late booking done over the internet with Sky Hol's. The room i was told would have no view. When i arrived they weretotally correct, the room had no view and the only window opened on to a closed in yard. For the price i paid i could not complain. At least it had some a/c. The rooms were cleaned daily and my only compaint was the shower. The toilet and shower were on the same level and after evry shower the toilet flooded. This hotel is right in the centre so is ideally... more
Value for money
Have stayed at the Eolo now three times. The rooms are quite dark and not that big but the rooms we have had have had big balconies overlooking the sea and you can people watch to your hearts content as lots going on below (can be quite noisy at night as taxi rank is directly acros the street so lots of people head that way on the way home). Breakfast is continental and fine - you can sit outside the hotel at the tables in the street and watch the world go by as you eat. Situated right in the heart of Puerto Pollensa so everything you need... more
Good value for money in friendly surroundings.
Stayed here May 2004. Good value for money. Central location, so a bit noisey, from passing traffic and the odd late night drunk. Good clean hotel. Staff very friendly and extemely helpful. Breakfast ample, but simple. Really only lacks a residents bar and a sun terrace, as no where to catch the rays, but the beach is about 50 yards away. There was a bar in the pizza restaurant adjoining, but you would have had to get drinks from their and then take them through to the tv lounge. Plenty of bars and restaurants around, but it... more
