We have owned a weeks timeshare since contruction, our last week there was in 2010 which we were not impressed by what we saw of our apartment. It was fitted out with furniture in a bad state of repair and falling to pieces which led us to complain. We were offered an... more

We have owned a time share at Blue Bay beach Club (Originally Airtours Beach Club)for the last ten years, but now find the rooms all need updating badly. However the staff have always had our top rating. This now tired hotel has prompted us to swap our week and go elsewhere.... more

You think that this hotel is 5* is laughable. I've stayed in 5* hotels before, and this one would struggle to make 3*. There was no concierge or reps, although the staff were quite helpful when we thought my wife's bag had been stolen. We were kept waiting 2 1/2 hours in... more

I have visited Airtours Beach Club at different times of the year. It is a beautiful, well kept and well equipped hotel. A lot of these apartments are owned by 'timeshare' owners so I assume that their 'maintenance' payments pay for the accommodation to be kept in good... more

Loved the full holiday
This was one of the best holidays i have every been on. I went with my friend and her parents and we had a great time. We went out for dinner everynight down at the square and it was great we loved the food. We are going back again in three days and im really excited.
lovely apartment
just returned from the airtours beach club on monday we had a really lovely time the apartment was excellent, very spacious ,clean and well equipped. We would concur with the last review that this is not a place to go too if you want wild nights but as for relaxing it was 1st rate. Useful tip if there are 4 of you take a taxi to the main resorts as they work out about the same as a bus! One tip/gripe check in is at 4.00 and we sat around for two and a half hours. . . .bit of a bad start but it got loads better. Three of our party are veggies and have got to be honest there are only so many pizzas/spag napolis one can eat. . .but hey thats not an unusual situation anywhere apart from possibly greece or turkey. we would gladly recommend this hotel and i may break the habit of a lifetime and visit the same place again. . .it was excellent value.
lovely relaxing place
We have just returned from a 9 day holiday from the Airtour Beach Club Hotel in Bahia Feliz ( not Maspalomas) and we had a great time. The appartments are very spacious with big patios or balconys. If you want a relaxing break then you cant go wrong with this place. Cleaners every day and sheets changed every third day. Poolside very nice with plenty of sunbeds. Would not advise this place if you want to party all night. Staff are very friendly and we would come back. The chinese restaurant in the shopping area is great and the mexican too. If you want to explore you will need to rent a car but you can also get the bus into other areas.
great break
Our hopes weren't too high as our break was very cheap, and some negative comments appear here and elsewhere. In fact, it was great. We had 3rd floor "C" type room (one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner and balcony). it was clean, well-equipped and had full sun from about 8 am to about 3 pm. We breakfasted daily on the balcony, using the on-site mini market for fresh rolls. The maid came each day and tidied/cleaned. Bed linen towelschanged 3 times in the week. Only downside was the television- usual Canary Island fodder- absolutely nothing in English save CNN, BBC world. No entertainment, in other words. Not that we missed it. Restaurants in Bahia Feliz were pricier than elsewhere, and quality probably lower. Good selection, though. We were shattered one day and brought a Chinese Takeaway back to the room -never done that before. It was OK. Walks from hotel were ok- odd to have pathway on clifftop going nowhere except the beach. We did not use hotel restaurant- a car meant freedom to find restaurants where we wanted. parking at hotel not a problem.
Great place for a family holiday with younger children
Just returned from a 1 week stay in a 2-bed apartment at the Airtours Beach Club with my husband and 2 children (aged 7 and 4). Having read a few negative reviews before setting out on our trip we arrived with some trepidation to be more than pleasantly surprised by what we found. Apartment was very clean and much larger than we had expected. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor, which gave us a great view over the pool and a nice sunny aspect. Only saw 1 cockroach all week, and that was on the balcony one evening. Balcony had a spa bath (not a hot tub and a little past its best) which the children made good use of to warm up after swimming in the rather chilly (though otherwise very nice) pools. Children's pool was particularly good - 0.4m deep with a nice slide so safe for our 4 year old non-swimmer. Food at pool bar not as bad (in our experience) as one of your other reviewers found - we had burgers and chips with the kids and found them quite acceptable. Most evenings we walked down to the square in Bahia Feliz (about 10 minutes), which has a good range of restaurants. Some entertainment in the pool bar each evening, mainly between 10.00 and 11.00 pm for adults. Not a place for lovers of night life but great for families with smaller children who like an early night! We had a car for the week. If you just want sun and pool you could manage without one but there is no proper beach here. Free bus runs to the beach at Maspalomas twice a day but there are far nicer (and quieter) beaches on Gran Canaria if you can drive. We fell in love with the beach at Puerto Mogan - much more sheltered than the coast around Airtours Beach Club (we had a couple of quite windy days during our stay) and with a very safe man made bay to swim in. We would definitely consider going back to Airtours Beach Club in the future as we had an excellent holiday and couldn't fault the service.
Nice hotel/apartments with nice pool area
Stayed in a penthouse apartment with two bedrooms, very nice with ensuite bathrooms! Well equiped rooms with two flatscreen tv's, dishwasher, bbq, jacuzzi and sunbeds on the large terrace. The pool area is great with is great since there is no beach. You can swim in the ocean but it's very rocky.... I'll reccomend anyone going her to take a rental car so you can go to Maspalomas beach (aprox 15 min drive) and other places - rentalcars are really cheap in spain, and gran canaria is an easy place to drive. Ok every place has it downsides, first the food at the poolbar is horrible - don't go there. Then it's the location, you need a car or you'll end up spending same amount on taxi/bus fares...hotel is located in Bahia Felize (not maspalomas...)
In need of some TLC
Although we had booked a 2 bed apartment (and paid extra) when we arrived (at 3 am on a Sunday morning) we were allocated a 1 bedroom apartment (complete with large cockroach). We were told by reception that it could not be sorted until the Monday morning when the office was open. We finally received the key at 2 pm (35 hours after arrival). The accomodation was however an excellent size (even the 1 bedroom) but generally as other reviews have said in need of a little TLC, in need of decoration and some new furniture. We had problems with some appliances which (apart from the jaccuzi on the balcony which worked when it felt like) were repaired promptly. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool area was excellent with no problems finding sunbeds or a place to put them at any time of day. The on-site shop was well stocked (and not overpriced). The nearby village had some good restaurants - the Chinese and Mexican in particular. A car is advisable however (although there is a bus stop and taxi rank nearby) as for more variety you need to go into Playa Del Ingles or Maspalomas. The restaurants on Faro Boulevard between Maspalomas and Meloneras are highly recommended. Good trips are Palmitos Park and Sioux City. Overall a good holiday. The weather in Gran Canaria is near perfect - not too hot with a nice breeze and some cloud. We only ever saw one other cockroach by the way.
Brilliant
just back from spending two wonderfull weeks in this hotel! The cleaners were fantastic, spic and span rooms everyday without a doubt! The shows at night were something to enjoyed, but i suppose you have to have been in the right mind some of the time. The staff were so attentive and would have bent over backwards if it made ur stay better! Overall this was a wonderfull holiday. Only bad thing would be all the different lifts and stairwells. Very easy for someone with missdirection to get lost in!
most amazing holiday ever!!
this was one of the best holidays i have ever had!! i am 17 and i went with my parents. i made lots of friends and so did my parents!! the activities during the day were most enjoyable and most my days were spent joining in, marco our reps during are stay was very friendly towards everyone and encoraged everyone to take part. Christina looked after the kids day centre but i found that she was very friendly to all. in the evening there was an entertainment program a quiz and then after there would be music, this was so enjoyable and everyone has a good time. i found that people that dont have a good time there in ABC must have not joined in any of the activities because if they had they would have enjoyed the holiday much much more!! me and my parents only left the resort 4 one afternoon, which was beacuse we felt we should go explore the island, we didnt get far though, we went bowling and for a mexican in a huge shopping mall near by!! overall a great experience and we will be going back the same time next year, as will the people we met!!
Enjoyed Gran Canaria
Spent a week at the end of April at the Airtours Beach Club. The view from the room was magnificent and the pool and surrounding area were lovely and clean. The rooms were nice and spacious but the suite needed to be painted. The maid service was good but the linens and towels needed to be replaced. Service at the front desk needed to be upgraded as the staff didn't seem to know much about the area. It appeared that they were new. The food in the restaurant was good, but it lacked atmosphere. Entertainment was fine. Nice to have a small market in the complex to buy water, milk etc. A 10 minute walk to a small shopping centre offered several good restaurants. There was also a pretty walk along the seaside esplanade south of the hotel complexes. All in all, a nice, safe area to stay and if you have a car - good for seeing other areas of Gran Canaria. Weather was great and overall had a good holiday.
