TRH Mijas

The Mijas hotel is an attractive hotel on the edge of the town with views towards the sea in the distance. The superior rooms are worth paying the extra for, Air conditioning and a view of the sea in the distance. The pool is nice with enough sun beds. The grounds are well maintained with some nice planting. We have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Hotel Mijas. Before going we had been somewhat unsure of what to expect given the mixed reviews on this site. However any fears we had were unfounded. The hotel was lovely with beautiful, well kept public areas and gardens. Our room, although not large, was more than adequate, with plenty storage, a large very clean bathroom. a nice balcony and a wonderful view to the coast. Towels and sheets were changed daily. went to hotel mijas june 2006 had a great time mijas itself is very beautiful the hotel grounds and pool are first class the rooms are clean and comfortable but the food is poor so is the sevice it certanly is not sevice with a smile but that did not spoil our holiday and we would return a relaxing holiday in a very nice hotel

My husband and I had long looked forward to staying at the Hotel Mijas and booked an independent holiday on the internet. The hotel displays 4 stars and is beautifully appointed in the public areas with plenty of seating, pictures flowers etc. We arrived at 8.30 p.m. and were checked in quickly. Just spent 10 nights at the Hotel Mijas. Check in was fine, but I'd asked for extra pillows, and bearing in mind that the hotel wasn't huge, it took over 4 hours for them to be delivered. Breakfast was a good choice, loads of fresh fruit, bacon, eggs etc, the only problem was that they must get a lot of coach tours in, and obviously they have to leave early in the morning. We had just returned from a 3 night stay in the hotel Mijas. The staff were excellent and they could not have been more helpful. We were travelling with a small child and were made to feel nothing was too much trouble. The view from the room was wonderful. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis and found the food selection excellent.

We have just returned from a week at the Mijas Hotel which we were looking forward to very much. It looks very impressive upon arrival and although the rooms are dated and the balcony extremely small we had a fabulous view. booked with twelve friends for the big 50 arrived wed 16th what a great stay. party time was at the restaurant valpariso was excellent very busy but it was on the saturday night. good time for a break with only the long winter nights to look forward too back home in durham. lads played golf while the girls shopped in malaga puerto banus and old town marbella

I thought the review dated the 27 Sept from Essex was very detailed and gave a very good description of this hotel and area. I stayed for 3 nights in May whilst visiting friends, the hotel is way above average for what i would consider a very good 3 star hotel, it has a very spanish feel, but as i was just off season there didnt seem enough staff for the guests ratio, for example the breakfast room was messy and the waiters were in a hurry for you to vacate at 10am The pool bar/rest was closed, and could have done with a waiter... more
