My boys keep asking when we can go back. James raves on about the chef and the pancakes and the steaks cooked exactly to your liking. Smashing accommodation unit brilliant view over the harbour. We paid £68.00 per night all in. If you want traditional entertainment this might not be the place for you but we enjoyed having the pool to ourselves.

a disappointment

just back and have to say a bit disappointing.staff friendly, but could do more to welcome guests.here on a short break of 3 days and thank god thats all because there is nothing to do!rooms cleaned daily and in good condition but beds are really hard.all inclusive bar finishes at 11pm which noone told us.food okay but not nearly hot enough and could do with more variety.the advertised entertainment didnt happen at times and what did happen was poor.overall i would say this could be a great place to stay if the management got on top of the entertainment, food temps and information given to guests upon arrival.more like 3* though

good well positioned hotel

just got back 29th april 2011 i travelled with wife and two kids on a ai basis , a good quality hotel, rooms cleaned every day well appointed for beach etc and the food quality was good not a great choice mind especially for kids, and the kids entertainment on night very poor but if your wanting a nice peacefull family holiday without the usual larger louts this place is ideal and as i said earlier the location is good, overall rating in my opinion would be a 4 star and be carefull of the high prices charged in the local bars we went to a irish themed one and it cost me £5 for a pint of guiness,i never went back overall though a lovely place

lovely hotel

After reading some reviews on this hotel we we,re unsure if we,d made the right choice, we had no need to worry the geranios is a little tired looking but our room was spotless and cleaned every day. I wouldn,t rate it as 5 star more like 3.All the staff there was friendly with us.We went A.I. and the food choice wasn,t that great but you wont go hungry. location is beautiful and we did find plenty to do with lots of bars, shops, and restaraunts nearby. There is also a lovely beach just 5 mins away to the left of geranios. We would go back but probably on self catering.

  • Advice: could do with a cleaner beach

We booked to go away for some winter...

We booked to go away for some winter sun with our 2 year old son. We stayed for a week on a self catering basis in November. The hotel is right on the beach and is a 10 min walk from the main bar area of the town. This is an easy stroll along the beach front. The hotel itself has 3 pools, 1 large kid’s pool that is 0.45 meters deep and 2 other pools that are 1.45 meters deep. There is a pool side bar that serves drinks and snacks all day and plenty of sun beds with towels supplied by the hotel. The hotel also has a large health spa with an indoor pool, gym, squash courts, tennis court, sauna, treatment rooms etc. But you have to pay to use these facilities. The hotel does have a bar but this was very quiet so we went elsewhere for a drink in the early evenings.
The hotel was very quiet when we were there and we had no trouble getting beds etc when we wanted them. To the right of the hotel is a new development which has a number of large 5 star hotels, shopping centre and hypermarket. There is a beautiful man made beach based around 4 walled lagoons in front of these hotels. As well as two golf complexes. This beach is just fantastic and is extremely safe for little ones.
We will be going back to this resort again because it was so relaxing and quite quiet at this time of year. We will also look to stay at this hotel again because the facilities are great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Just returned home from Los Geranios...

Just returned home from Los Geranios today and I’ve got to say it was an excellent hotel bar a few small things.
The Positives:
The rooms are very large and very modern, great balcony view of Puerto Colon and the sea. Cleaned everyday except on Weds and Sundays. The rooms have the basics as well as a safe which will cost you 23 euros a week plus a 10 euro deposit. You can hire a remote control for the TV as well as hiring kettles and toasters. (all 20 euros each) No air conditioning though but you can rent a fan at reception.
The staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. Some of the best hotel staff I have ever encountered.
The area is in a cracking spot right next to the San Eugeno shopping centre, literally 2 mins away from the beach and to the coast line. Check out The Irish Fiddler pub and also Harleys for amazing cocktails. The area is also very quiet and from our room could hear little or no noise whatsoever.
The Negatives:
Occasionally there was a really bad smell from the drains in the toilet and the hot water wasn’t great but it wasn’t a big deal because it was right hot weather wise.
The pool is quite a small pool so swimming is actually quite difficult. On our 2nd week a lot of UK schools were off so the place was amok with kids, there is no lifeguard or anyone supervising the pool area so they were pretty much left to cause chaos and as much noise as they wanted. Myself and my girlfriend didn’t really enjoy this as much and although the staff did speak to some parents, nothing really changed. My big downpoint though was that the hotel clearly states that there was to be no lilos or rings in the pool but as a lot of people ignored this which was quite annoying, just shows you that people are ignorant wherever they go!
Apart from that it was a pleasant and suprising experience staying at Los Geranios, I definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

Fine hotel, excellent staff, suite...

Fine hotel, excellent staff, suite very luxurious, facilities excellent. The occupancy was very low in October: probably poor marketing rather than anything more sinister.
Anyway it was nice to have the huge place almost to ourselves, no dreaded queues for breakfast! I couldn’t help noticing that a lot of good food was wasted, they clearly felt the need to keep up appearances by providing a full buffet service, though some meals did tend to be recycled, some perhaps too often.
Friendly staff, great fresh local fish, vegetables, and cheese, unlimited food, prices for drinks not unreasonable considering, our bar bill for two for the whole week was only £80 or so.

An excellent hotel which was newly...

Aug 2006, Miss J Rees

An excellent hotel which was newly built and immaculate. Ideal for couples wanting a quiet relaxing holiday with not many children around. The hotel wasn't quite all finished when we were there so the hotel shop was not open yet. This didn't matter as there are supermarkets within walking distance and there was no building going on. The rooms are lovely, air conditioned, incredibly clean. Got own kitchen if you are self catering (we went half board), also lounge area, bedroom, large bathroom and balcony.
The pool area was great, 3 pools and lots of sun beds etc. Good pool bar serving snacks and drinks. The hotel is right on the beach, but about 10 minutes walk from the main resort which is fine as it is quiet at the hotel, yet you have access to bars etc if you want them. There is a bar in the hotel serving cocktails etc.
The food was good, obviously you have to be a little open minded as not typical British food, but enough choice to have something you like! Great breakfasts, lots of choice.
There is a gorgeous spa at the hotel offering many treatments of choice (all at extra cost), with a hydrotherapy spa that is open to residents at a cost of about 14 euros which is well worth a go.
The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you. Overall a fantastic holiday on a lovely island and I would go back again any time!

The actual hotel is lovely, great...
7 / 10
May 2006, H Mckenna

The actual hotel is lovely, great design and very clean. The rooms are fantastic, very modern with double sinks, large bath and shower and separate living room and bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. We did clean our dishes after ourselves but a couple of times we left them to soak and came back to everything being cleaned away by the maid. The staff are very pleasant.
The downside is that when we went it was quiet. I think only about 20 people were staying, there was no evening entertainment, no kids club, the daytime activities did start half way through the week but that was it.
This didn't really bother us as we just took ourselves to one of the nearby hotels for entertainment
I got the holiday at a special rate if I had paid the full price I think I would have been disappointed. The hotel is only found in Thomas Cook select holidays and is not in all the Airtours brochures. If it was with more tour operators I’m sure it would get fuller as it is nice
It would suit couples for a relaxing break, if you like being in a villa by yourself, then it would be for you!
