Me and a mate stayed here for New Year for 7 nights. Was a friendly atmosphere, although we were the only english people there. We are early 20's so for us its all about the nightlife. Las Americas town centre is only 30 mins walk or a 5 minute cab journey and costs 7euros... more

Spent 12 days at this hotel just before Easter 2010. The apartments were spacious, but the furniture was poor quality and old/broken. The electricity supply was a bit dodgy. If you decided to cook your own odd meal this seemed to put too heavy a load on the room supply and... more

never again ,never,never! ! !
This has to be the worse place i have ever stayed ,it was a last minute holiday it was cheap but we still expected it to be ok .especially as we booked through a travel agents, how they have it in there brochure i am absouloutley shocked .they must have sent their last rep out there in 1978, it is in one word minging! the apartments were not ready when we got there so a couch load of us had to wait around two hours, and it took an hour to check in, because there was only one guy on the desk. when we got in to the apartment the cleaners had been so the floors were clean, but all the tiles on the floor in the kitchen and balcony were broken or loose and the beds were stained ,and thank god the cleaners gave us newly washed sheets otherwise we would'nt have been able to sleep. we have been in Adeje lots of times we usually stay down by la pinta beach, so the long walk up that hill was a shocker for us not to bad going down but nightmare back up!. its as well taxis are cheap here.the only thing we ate in the hotel was chips, we were afraid to have anything else .we went across the way to a lovely spotless clean hotel called the Regency .the food, entertainment, everything was great here and they let us use there swimming pool which was heated as ours was ice cold, and we had young children with us. having said all that some of the staff were good and the cleaners did there best but the place is just too run down. but we love tenerife and will be going back ,just not this place never ,ever again!!!
Never again
Just back from two weeks, we were very dissapointed with the stay appartments were fine one bar in use as the other one called the tavern smelt of one big toilet it was disgusting. The only way around is to get taxis all the time, the food was good and the staff were very nice pool area was fine, but the big problem were the people staying there not all but most especially the ones from dublin they were terrible shouting at the pool and drinking in the pool their foul language they were the type you would see living in a halting sight so there was no peace at the pool if they were there it was embarasssing to be irish with these toerags around the place they were the problem so if your happy to be around the finest of dublins scum this is the place to go I still have an earache from hearing them happy we were not near them on the plane going back as on the way going over they were vulgar noisey and just through their rubbish on the floor, all the people from dublin were the same bar myself and my partner they were just very common people who should not be able to travel
Spacious but far away from town/beach
First of all I have to say we enjoyed our stay at Neptuno even though there were so many adventures during our trip. When you arrive in town from the airport - dont bother looking for it: take a taxi! Neptuno is at the end of Americas located in costa Adeje. If you are not fit I wouldnt recommend staying here as it is right on top of the mountain and fairly far away from the beach and bars in town. We ended up our diving trip on antibiotics and clibing that hill was real hell. On a bright side: the view is very nice, apartments are VERY spacious - I habve to say I was shocked on a very good side. Each apartment has a spacious living room and fair size balcony that gives you as much privacy as you could get in a resort. You have the pool, bar a few restaurants and shops all around the corner so the distance from town is not that important. Furniture and bathroom area bit outdated but place is very clean. Another importnat thing, except for the musi from the bar (in the evening/open window) you dont hear anything from your neighbours etc. To Summarize: if you are after holidays away from crowds and all the noise or if you are travelling with kids I would highly recommend this place - especially if you are on the budget! If you want nightlife, beach access in 30 seconds or if your mobility is impaired please look for something closer to Los Cristianos or Americas - for sure away from hilly terrain of Adeje. (I know I probably confused most people with all the conflicting info ;-)
Nice Place
Neptuno is nothing more or nothing less than i would expect from Tenerife. Appt was very clean, very large but a little old fashioned but who cares as you only sleep in the room. The maid came every day and if there is a problem you tell reception and they sort it. The pool are was extremely clean, only thing you had to pay 2Euros for a sun bed, although you can use the pool at the sister hotel / regency opposite for free but they dont like to tell you that, the pool is definately not as spotless as neptuno though nicer. It is a good five min walk down to the bars etc, but a cab is only 5Euros. And some really nice places to eat in Playa Fanebe, our fav being Cotes de Fillet - ab fab. Defo taxi home! The food at neptuno roof top is also good and most of the time we had lunch at the Regency where also the food was very good. Dont rely on the courtesey rm on your departure day unless you just want to change, there are no towels, no hairdryer and no lock on the doors and frankly i certainly did not want to shower there, i did of course lodge a complaint as i was not happy as what is the point of offering the room with no facilities, obvoiusly my complaint will make no difference but that did spoil what would have been a nice experience at the Neptuno.
Good stay
Stayed in the neptuno in June 2004, had never been to the Canary islands before. Found the hotel to be very clean and tidy, staff very friendly especially the fella who ran the pool bar/cafe, cheap good quality snacks and drinks all day and he was good for a chat too. The pool was very clean and €2 a day for a sun bed was good value, the pool table at the pool side was shabby and could do with being replaced though (maybe it has been since then). The accommodation was very nice, comfy sofa, telly with sky news, full kitchen and safe in the bedroom. Only complaint about the bedroom was that we had booked a double room which we understood to mean a double bed, what we got was two single beds instead. Pushed them together but kept slipping down between them!!! Had a little problem with cockroaches but to complain about them when in The Canaries would be like giving out about rain in Ireland! Apart from the pool bar, the hotel also had a nice basement bar which has entertainment laid on every night. The magician/entertainer was great but give the bloke with the guitar a miss, couldn't remember the words to most of the songs!!! The best part of the hotel was its restaurant, up on the roof with great views of the mountains and ocean. The food was fantastic and the waiters were more than helpful. This hotel is up a steep hill and is a bit of a walk outside the town centre, however there is a taxi rank just around the corner and you can always use the free bus service that runs every hour. also, the aqua park is only a 5 minute walk away. Overall, i would recommend the Neptuno to all, if you are after a wild nitelife then maybe somewhere closer to town might suit, otherwise this is a great spot for a quiet holiday for couples old and young and those with children.
We had a great time !
Be prepared that this hotel is a fair hike up-hill from the town. It's easy to walk down but we got a taxi back most of the time. Taxi fares varied daily but never more that Euros 5.50. You have to pay Euros 2.00 per day, per sunbed to lay by the pool, but it's Euros 3-4 if you go to the beach anyway ! Accommodation was clean and comfortable - staff fairly helpful and friendly. Pool at this time of year is absolutely freezing, but again, it was spotless. I would definintely book this hotel again - (more suited for families and over 35's). Rona Potter Inverkip, Scotland
Don't do it!
We only stayed here for 8 hours (it was only that long because we arrived at 2am!) We were greeted by a cockroaches in the room. Room smelled so damp - I don't think it had been used all year. Third bed (for an adult) was a cot bed with a 2" sponge mattress - not good! If you're only looking for a place to sleep then you might like it here - I'm very surprised that it has been rated as 3* (more like 1* I'd say).
Dissappointed
Just returned after two weeks. Rooms clean, staff helpful, but at night time slamming of doors, very strong smell of rotting vegetation in the rooms. People dragging suitcase up the many steps all hours of the night. We had to pay 2 Euros per day to use the sunbeds, across the road at the Regency Club all sunbeds were free.

Hi, i'm just back this morning from a weeks holiday at neptuno. I must say that i was really surprised at how the rooms looked when we arrived. They were so bright and clean. Our apartments had a lovely view from the balcony down over the pool. The bathroom was clean and had the usual things a bathroom would have, it had the added benefit of having a hairdryer as well. Our kitchen had all utensils, like pots and pans, cuterly, cups, glasses, plates etc. our cooker had four hobs although no oven was available for our late night munchie food but we coped. the living area is a decent size, the sofa converts to a bed. the tv is meter run. its one euro for an hour, 50 cent for 30 mins etc. it had 16 channels of varied lanuages, english, german, etc. the only english speaking channels was sky movies one, sky news although sometimes you could watch german mtv if it was dubbed over. the balcony we had was massive and overlooked the pool and pool bar, it had a small table and a set of chairs so you could sit and laze. The bedroom was large, with a large cupboard with sliding doors, a safe was available for 36 euros for the week although you got your deposit of 20 euro back so it wasnt bad for 16 euro for the week. the cleaners came in every day and emptied your bins and give the floor a mop. The people working at neptuno are very very nice and very pleasent. the reception had internet access and newpapers were available every morning. there is a shop situated across the road from neptuno, but i found it rather expensive, but it was handy, there was another one around the corner at the regency it wasnt as dear but if you wanted stuff, i would say to head down to the supermarket in pdla. you are also allowed to use the facilities at the regency although we never had time. the actual location of the neptuno is about 5-10 mins away from pdla. its located on a hill although you get a free bus pass that runs nearly every hour. it was handy especially on the way back up the hill. we walked up it twice and it nearly killed me and i'm a young whipper snapper so if you dont feel you can do it get the free bus up or get a taxi up, theyre located around the town and are the white mercs. i hope this review helps you, i really enjoyed myself at the neptuno and i would definately go back there again. i hope you enjoy your stay there.
a bit out of the way but clean, good food, an excellent bakery nearby!!
the apartments were a bit out of the way but the accomodation was clean, infact it was very clean, good food available and an amazing bakery just ar ound the corner.
