Just spent two weeks in Neptuno aparthotel, I had a brilliant time. The apartments were spotless, we had maid service six days a week. I sent quite a lot of time in, and around the pool with my friends.
The children’s area was a bit out of the way and was mainly for younger children. For older children like me there was a snooker table beside the bar and in the inside bar there was two pool tables and an air hockey table. There was also a badminton court which you had to pay for but it was only two euros per half an hour. It’s very child friendly.
There was one entertainment night per week which was good for making friends. There is a restaurant just up above the outside pub. It was very good food and very cheep.
There is a hill to get up and down to the town but once you get used to it, it's fine. There is also a taxi rank just at the end of the street. The entertainment in the town is good too. Some pubs are very lively and there are some nice restaurants.
If I had a chance to ever go back, i would be delighted to go because it was the best holiday ever.

We have just arrived back from a lovely week at the Neptuno Apartments the staff were very friendly. There was a hill which was difficult but there was a courtesy bus every 15 mins or a taxi from the town was 2-3 euro.
The beaches were lovely and very clean, food in the area was very good everywhere and cheap although there is places which can be more expensive. The studios were very spacious and clean maid service 6 days there was a kettle toaster oven hob and microwave in kitchen all clean and in working order. The bathroom was quiet big for a studio also very clean with hair dryer not a very good one but done the job.
The tavern bar downstairs was disappointing it didn’t open till 11pm and there was no entertainment all week Pedro the bar man was nice, he cooks good brekkie at the pool bar till 3pm every day. Overall we had a nice stay and would go back.

The apartments are located on a hill so may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties but we never had to walk up or down because you get a free bus pass to use to the centre of Playa De Las Americas and to the beaches.
This is a quite and family complex which has 106 apartments 10 of which are studios .the apartment we stayed in was spacious and well equipped with electric hob, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, satellite TV which has about 16 channels and is 1 euro per hour ,telephone, safe which was 16.25 euros per week and a hair dryer in the bathroom bath as well as a shower plus we had a large balcony with a sea view no extra charge table and chairs and a clothes horse .
The apartment was very clean maid service 6 days per week .the Neptuno has 3 swimming pools main, heated and children’s pool. One word of warning the main pool was very cold even when the weather was sunny and the temp was 21c every day and has for the heated pool was only just warmer than the main pool.
The reception is 24 hrs with money exchange the staff are very nice and helpful. there is also a restaurant, pool bar ,old tavern pub, gym, launderette, children’s play area ,badminton and volleyball court, and 24 hrs medical service. there was a supermarket over the road and a music bar and there is also a bakery just down the road next to regency club, which do nice sandwiches .
Neptuno is between Costa Adeje and Playa De Las Americas we went there all the time. We went to 2 beaches one called Playa La Pinta which is small and has inflatable in the water for the kids to play on and also Playa De Troya where the sunbeds are 3 euros per person they were both clean and nice. We also recommend a Chinese called the china garden it was 5 euro per person for a buffet all you can eat.
Also went to the Eugene bar for a meal which wasn’t very nice over the road there is a shopping centre called San Eugenio which is very good. The aqua park is about a 20 min walk from the Neptuno which was good you could get a 6 day pass for 30 euro for adults and 21 euro for children up to the age of 12 at the minute there is no dolphin shows on from the 9th January 2005 till the beginning of February 2005 .
Would also recommend going to the Loro Parque, which had an excellent dolphin show. Would go back to Tenerife to the same resorts and Neptuno tomorrow if I could.

Found the description of the overall area to be misleading. Neptuno Apartments were situated on the top of a hill at the end of a cul de sac.
The reception area was welcoming & the apartments were cleaned everyday.
Food in the pool bar wasn't great everything is deep fried, €6 for a large glass of orange juice. Very expensive. One morning we arrived for breakfast & I ordered 2 breakfasts, the man behind the bar was cooking one at the time & turned to me & said he wasn't going doing anymore!
The nearest restaurant is a 20minute walk down the hill & over the fly over. A free bus is once every hour on the hour until 6pm. Taxis are parked at the top of the cul de sac regularly. To get to Playa Azul you'll have to get a taxi as it will take about an hour to walk into the main strip of bars & clubs. This taxi ride will cost approx €10.
I found the apartment very out of the way, it’s not near anything. Also food in all the restaurants may look like your getting a cheap meal ie. steak & chips €5.95, but once you go in every drink except water is at least €3/€5. It was just as expensive to eat out over there as it is in Ireland.
The pool wasn't big enough for the size of the complex. You’re paying to stay there for a week and anytime you want to lie by the pool you've to pay!!! Found the staff ignorant & unhelpful. I found my stay in the Neptuno Apartments disappointing & I won't be going back.
