went for 1week,was so pleased when the week ended.the food was so repetative, fish or pork with almost every meal.there were no other english people at the hotel.it was all spanish and germans.not only that 90% of them were pensioners.the entertainment was geared towards them, bingo(at no point was it in english),and a man on an organ.RUBBISH.i would not recommend any english people go to this hotel.you have been warned.
- Advice: stay away.

The hotel is situated in a lovely area and within walking distance of Puerto - though a bit difficult coming back - 223 steps to climb! There is a good courtesy bus service into town from the hotel.
The area is mainly populated by German holiday makers as was the hotel, only heard two English voices in the week we were there! The food is plentiful and varied. The chefs are replenishing dishes all the time. There is a microwave on hand if you should need it.
There is a daily programme and entertainment at night plus a pretty outside area around the pool.
Our only concern was the noise. DO NOT book a room at the back as it is on a one way street which takes the traffic back to the main road. A room on the front, third floor up would take you away from any traffic noise and give a good view.
We considered this hotel to be good value.

Stayed as All Inclusive for 10 ngts (July 2010).Paid £500 each (inc flights etc) which we thought good value for mid July. Very relaxing holiday. Hotel always clean (little bit worn round the edges but didnt affect our holiday). LOTS of attentive staff willing to help AT ALL TIMES OF DAY. Our 1st room was quite noisy, due to small hotel service road, so requested to move. It was no trouble for the reception staff (this may have been due to vacant rooms as week before the school holiday season) and the 2nd room great with bonus of large simply furnished room with sea view. Maid service every day with daily clean towels if required
Huge choice of food for breakfast (cooked choices inc pancakes/fruits/loads cereals/breads/cold meats), lunch (lots salads/cold meats/hot dishes etc) and evening meals (fish, chicken or sometimes pork grilled to order/lots of hot dish choices/big selection of salads/cold buffet/cheese/pudds etc).We surprised to hear couple people (English!) moaning about the food choices which we couldnt understand as there was so much to choose from to surely suit all palates. My husband loves salad and fish so he in heaven for the 10 days. Teenage girls ate happily each day. I loved the food. We heard someone say "Dont have the fish -its got bones in it"!!! So no, you dont get burgers, curry or the usual UK pizzas, but we didnt want that anyway. Yes it gets a just little repetative (mainly the pudds) after 10 days but still other choices. Having the All Inclusive deal was GREAT value for money as bottles of spirits/beer/wine left out during the day if wanted and the bars to give you large drink selection during evening. BOTTLE of plonk wine with meals (my husband only wanted a glass!) or beer etc. Brand Fanta/Coke/Sprite for kids or bottled water. The pool snacks were VERY basic but you could book a bbq meal if required. We never did as just stuck to meal times or out.
The Interpalace entertainment was VERY low key. Aimed more at the older traveller (eg:Good Ol' Monsi on his electronic organ for the Quickstep dancers!). But thats exactly why i chose this hotel. Didnt want to have loud swimming pool music all day long with endless activities and screaming kids! Water polo was offered every other day ONCE a day; crazy golf, tennis, table tennis were there if you wanted it. The Animation Team worked hard to try to create a fun evening but again this was pretty poor and usually in one of the other 2 sister hotels next door. It was so corny some nights it ended up being funny. Bars closed at midnight so even though you may be disturbed occassionally by people in the street leaving bars/clubs, the hotel is quiet.
Nationalities from all over the place staying. English, French, German, Spanish, Polish etc. EVERYONE seemed to mix/gel together well. No pushing and shoving. Peak times in resturant got quite busy, but due to staggered hours choose a different time! Didnt appear to be any bagsy of sun beds (!!) and no Brits Abroad!
We dont tend to go back to the same place twice, but if we did we've said would definitely go back. ENJOY YOUR BREAK! Im jealous!
TIP: Few days the weather was very cloudy/windy/misty in Puerto Cruz - but if you have a car drive towards Santa Cruz. You'll hit the sunshine almost guaranteed. Only 20+ min drive. Buses available too. (Lovely YELLOW sandy beach to slight East of S/Cruz, pass the port & follow coast road. Lots of parking, snack bars and safe waters due to breakwater. Heading down towards the south - Los Christianos etc, the weather was always very hot and all the razz that goes with that area. Dont miss the Siam Park waterpark - well organised and clean! Take a picnic/drinks as snack places there are expensive.
