The Hotel is in Nabq in the middle of the mountains, the dunes and the Red Sea. The national park of Nabq has abundant wildlife, including gazelles, hyrax, Nubian ibexes and smaller mammals. The Red Sea is clear and warm throughout the year and has developed a scuba and snorkelling paradise, with its coral and sea life.

This hotel is not 4 star it is a 1 star. I will give you a list of things wrong with this hotel.

1. The pools had tidemarks around them that the staff were trying to clean whilst you are in the pool.

2. The plants are watered using human waste fertilizer, this is sprayed whilst you are in the pool. As you can imagine it stinks and obviously won't be very good for your lungs.

3. Due to the spraying there were flies everywhere. On you, in your drinks, on your food etc etc.

4. The food is inedible, although the flies seemed to be enjoying it. We spent the majority of our holiday money on having Mcdonmalds delivered and buying pizzas.

5. On the whole the staff were really nice. But you could see they were getting annoyed as the hotel kept running out of bottled pop, water etc. You could see they were embarressed to be taking plate after plate of food away for throwing.

6, The reception staff were not concerned when my camera was stolen from my locked room. They insisted I must have lost it but my camera case had been stuffed with paper, how that got there I do not know. They insisted that their staff do not steal. Anyway my camera was not recovered.

7. You will get the dreaded tummy. It will cost you £30.00 for tablets from the chemist. I will add that having been home 6 days now our tummys are still not right.

If you want a really bad holiday in a dirty hotel and want to spent a lot of your spends on food (and it is expensive) then come to this hotel. However I reccomend you avoid it like the plague.

Our hotel looked lovely, air con in reception area was not good to say the least, and if you like to eat food with sweat dripping off you because of air con then it was fine.

The staff were absolutely spot on and could not be more helpful, the rooms were well kept and very clean and the air con in the rooms was brilliant.

The food on the other hand was not up to scratch, if you are not from the UK you may find it ok but it was repetitive to say the least and not that great, no choice, if you wanted pizza or burger than get your money out cause it was not covered by your all inclusive, there were supposed to be snacks but I never saw them, If you wanted a burger or chips they needed to be paid for unless they were on the menu which was normally once a week, if you like pancakes and pastries for breakfast every morning then this is the place for you.

If you like the smell of sewrage then every evening the plants were watered with this around the time you were about to eat.

I would not consider returning to this hotel unless it had a drastic shake up

We have just returned from this hotel after an 11 night stay.

This was our 5th visit to Sharm so we knew what to expect from the hotels, people etc.. However, I do feel that some of the glowing reports on here are misleading, perhaps from first time visitors to Sharm...anyway here goes...

The Three Corners Palmyra is a nice hotel, well laid out albeit very tired looking, The location leaves a lot to be desired there are building sites all around it, no other hotels nearby, there is no cash machine, the nearest is a 20 min walk away. If you venture into Nabq there is a nice little shopping centre - very new - and a new supermarket called Metro supermarket, very cheap and clean.

The generous pool areas are reasonably clean but the pools are not the easiest to get in and out of, they have steep sloping sides and are mostly 4ft deep, there very few steps except for one end of the main pool near the 'swim up bar' the staff as others have said are very polite, friendly and helpful..BUT

The spirits all taste the same are regularly watered down as are the soft drinks, we witnessed this happening on several occasions - on our first day we saw one Russian guy actually empty his 'Vodka' into the main swimming pool in protest!! (we got out of there double quick!) also not enough sunbeds, everyone reserved their sunbeds every day by placing the hotels' blue and white striped towels on them - The main pool is extremely noisy , be prepared to be woken (if you dare to take a lie in) by Queen singing 'We will rock you' at 10am every morning followed by the Three corners song which is on a par with the creativity of the Smurf song and sounds like the same singer too!! - the animation team who work very hard - I would say they are over zealous ....are constantly shouting over a microphone to encourage guests to join in, if they won't then they will come around the sunbeds shouting for you to join in the vollyball, the darts, the table tennis, the belly dancing, The kids pool is a bit quieter, you can still hear the shouting and the music but the bonus is you can also hear yourself speak!!

...If you can't find a sunbed (later than 9.30am - then no chance) you can take a trip to the hotels own beach on their own hotel bus.

The beach is at the end of Sharks Bay, at first it looks like you are going to one of the nicer hotel beaches but the Palmyra's is down a filthy dirt track surrounded by loads of black bags with rubbish spilling out of them - the bus then stops at the top of a very steep set of steps - ok going down but coming up in temps of 45degrees is not funny! - the beach is a public one with sunbeds and parasols, its not very clean and is plagued by blokes trying to sell everything from trips to banana rides, if you book the quad bikes here they are cheap at £14 each - you get what you pay for - the quads are crap, very overused and worn tyres with no tread, the crash helmets were rubbish too!, a couple of our quads kept breaking down which spoilt the experience for the first timers in our party. We have taken the quads out from other hotels every time and always had really good bikes, from the Hilton it was £20 each and worth every penny! -

the hotel beach 'bar' is a complete joke but the guy working there is very nice and very obliging, but no alcohol just watered down soft drinks and the 'lunch' is a small (and i mean small) roll filled with meat and the dreaded lettuce! You can always eat at the beach cafe, very nice pizza's, burgers etc...reasonably priced too.

However the saving grace for the beach is the variety of fish you can see when snorkeling, the best yet in five years! However, the numbers are dwindling due to certain peoples feeding them bread (which poisons them) so that they can take photos of the fish en-masse, also due to amount of people who stand on the coral which the fish need to feed on - this kills the coral and in turn the fish (as well as the poisonous bread)

The pool area is also plagued by the masseurs who will ask to check your hand then diagnose that you have a problem - what type of problem is known only to them but this can be cured by a ridiculously over priced massage - be prepared to haggle on everything from newspapers, massages, haircuts to facials - waste of money by the way - if the guy with 'Egyptian' cotton comes around and tries to remove hair from your face, promising you it will never grow back - don't believe him Ladies! it hurts like hell and you still have a moustache..!!

The reception / communal area is swarming with flies (as are the pool and dining areas) there are no fly traps or other such devices to minimise the constant annoyance of having to swipe them away from your face, food, drinks etc...The whole complex is supposed to be fumigated every day but we witnessed this only twice during our stay...

The gardeners work very hard to maintain the 'greenery' watering with a manure-based system everyday - the smell is horrendous and will definitely put you off of your breakfast / lunch / dinner.

The food was ok but repetitive- beef, lamb, pasta, fried fish bits, very small bony pieces of chicken - much worse than other hotels we have stayed in Sharm (The Hilton, The Sierra, The Three corners St George, the Coral Beach Montaza) they had a much wider choice and were able to cater for the amount of guests they had, which was not the case at the Palmyra...this was high season and as more guests arrived the queues became longer and the food scarce...watch the lettuce as quite a few people had tummy bugs which were attributed to the lettuce being washed in the tap water and then left sitting in about 3 inches of tap water in the cabinets!!

The kids corner consisted of 2 different dishes at each mealtime, and various small desserts.

Naama Bay is very commercialised now - 5 years ago and up to last year it was cheap, now the bars will rip you off, Camel Bar was always a reasonable one but even they charged £19 for 6 drinks and only 4 were single alcoholic ones!!, we eventually sat at one of the street 'bedouin' bars where they said the shishe pipes were free and beer was £2 - however, 2 G&T's, 2 Pina coladas, 2 pepsi's and 2 beers later we were given a bill for £50 - we protested then the bill was changed to £35 - a complete rip off, I wish I could remember the name - its the one with lots of fairy lights and cushions on the floor - its in front of a small supermarket, past pacha and at the end of the strip near to little Buddha - lots of these places so just be aware...

We are all Egypt out now and this was an ok holiday - despite my rantings - If this is your first trip to Sharm then you won't know any better and will probably enjoy it..... just make sure that if you book this hotel you pay a really cheap price - you'll be sick if you pay loads as there are much nicer hotels nearer to Naama Bay.

PS Whilst we were there last week we heard that the Sierra had been closed due to an outbreak of Salmonella poisoning, some of the guests were brought to our hotel and others shipped home!

Overall opinion - Sharm has changed in the last five years, tourism is king and ripping of tourists is the name of the game....take plenty of spendo's you'll need it!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here from 15th may 29th. Hotel: BRILLIANT, clean, well maintained and lovely people. Take no notice of those who have complained about this place, if they want a 5* plus holiday then they should go to Sandals, but for the money you pay here you get excellent value. Yes, ok the food is boring, but for gods sake you can go into sharm every night on the free shuttle bus and eat at the hard rock cafe, mcdonalds, kentucky etc for very little money. The pools here are lovely (they are big, and there are always sunbeds available). If you want to go topless, there is a pool round the back where no one seems to bother you, and the staff dont wander around so you are not really offending anyone, but i dont suggest you do it round the main pool, cos it would be uncomfortable for you and the staff. BEACH: The free bus runs every hour and it takes you to sharks bay, the snorkelling is fantastic, we saw more here than we did on the trip to ras mohammed, there were blue spotted sting rays and the most beautiful fish you have ever seen. This is not a sandy beach, but then you would not get the fish if it was, it is a coral beach. Many people were unaware that as soon as they stepped into the sea they were walking on the coral, but if you look in the places that it was difficult to walk on you could see the coral trying to grow back, so please if you go, try not to walk on the coral. The water is so warm and shallow you can see fish instantly. If you jump off from the pier, you can then snorkel back over the shallows with out stepping on the coral. What more can I say the place was hot, but it had a lovely breeze which made it bearable, the hotel was clean and friendly, and the beach is one of the best i have snorkeled all over the world.

well what can i say have just returned from 3 weeks at the palymra hotel between 24th april-12 may. The hotel is absolutly beautiful!! rooms are spacious and get cleaned everyday again with the lovely animals out of ur towels. The food isnt too great but the hotel will order you mcdonalds!! The staff are friendly, our favourites bein ihab the waiter, shawky the barman and the entertainment team. titto, sasha and adam being our favourites! there is so much going on all day from table tennis, darts, water polo everything you can think of. i must admit, what others was saying is true the russians were extremley rude but who cares really?? weather was beautiful the shuttle bus was very handy and we got on it most nights into naama bay! the shops in the hotel are good value for money!especially the jewlerry shop where michael works take a visit to see his little turtle mark sooo cute. so hotel is amazing, staff are friendly, animation team are quality, food is average but who cares when it is so cheap to eat out. for example 5english pounds for 2pizza and garlic bread in pizza hut! umm weather is lush what more can you want. will be returning in october to see you all again guys!! thanks for a wicked holiday!

Just come back from a hol with my boyfriend. Hotel was overall a very nice one, clean and the staff really made this hotel as most were very helpful and polite and very good at their jobs. Mohamed our bellboy was excellent and our rooms were always clean and he would make lovely animals with our towels. The waiters were great especially Amro and the chef who would make eggs int he morning. As was Shawky the barman. Our rep Ahmed was excellent, at the hotel every day and available if you needed help.

The food wasnt bad but it was excellent, it got quite repetetive and bland but i guess you would expect that from an all inclusive hotel. Shops in the hotel were good and decently priced.

Only thing I didnt like about the hotel was the rude Europeans and Russians but the British were lovely as usual!

Book most trips through your tour rep but some of the boat ones and quad trips were cheaper on the beach and we booked a few through them. If you go to Cairo take the plane as we made the mistake of going by coach and they drive like maniacs! Bedouin trip worth doing.

The beach is mega hot and sea life there is amazing, snorkelling is a must! Only disappointment was not a sandy beach but still lovely all the same.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Three corners during 29/4/08-06/5/08. Was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were always kept spotless and the house keeper kept the room in nice condition, always added a little extra with the towels by making animals out of them. The staff were all very nice and spoke english so we could understand them, wasn't hassled by the shop owners in the hotel and the food was brilliant, couldn't fault it. Our tour operator Ahmed was very helpful with out excursions and even sorted out our visas. would definitly go back and would highly recommend the hotel.

PLEASE READ - AMAZING!! My friend & I decided to get away and treat ourselves to a Sun filled holiday. I read the reviews on all hotels in Sharm El Sheikh & The Three Corners Palmyra had the most positive feedback so we booked all inclusive for 1 week.

Having heard all the warnings from friends to be careful as we were "24yr old white british girls" & that we would be hassled by taxi drivers, shop owners etc I'm extreemily pleased to report we had no such trouble. The Hotel staff (mainly men) have excellent manners & cater for your every need, they treat you with respect & make you feel like your at home.

The taxi's are hillarious- we heard many stories from people around the swimming pool but our personnal taxi ride was a holiday highlight!! If you need a taxi, reception will get you one within 10 minutes. I'd pay no more than £6 into main town "Nama Bay." Always barter the price of a taxi before you sit in it (offering a friendly cigarette whilst negotiating is always a good tactic : )

The Hotel:

Beautiful. Clean. Amazing. I'm soooooooo happy we booked The Three Corners Palmyra!

Reception was always helpful & polite. Luggage carried to & from room by staff (do tip them as it is custom - doesnt have to be alot £1.00 English.) Our room was imaculate, large & clean. Beds were comfy & large. When cleaners come in to change linen they shape clean towels & petals on your bed as a feature for when you return (we had flowers, swans, even a crocodile - its great.) Our balcony was massive with great views over one of the pools & gardens. Air Con works great, 2 English channels on TV which were 24hr news & Dubai1 showing films, talk shows etc. Bathroom was set out well & shower water was always hot if needed. A bonus was both the main footie matches were shown on large TV screen so sports fans needn't worry.

Pools:

There are a few pools but we lived aroung the main pool where all the life of the hotel was through the hard work of the ANIMATION TEAM!! The pools were slightly cold but quickly got used to. Fresh towels given daily for loungers, pool bar great to swim to & claim all your inclusive free drinks : ) Theres even a onsite beauty therapy team that can give facials & massages.

ANIMATION TEAM:

I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!!! Sasha, Tito, Haya(I'm your right hand girl) & Adam we miss you & love you all. Thankyou for making our holiday what it was. The animation team work so hard, talking to all guests, making friends, getting people to meet each other & play games etc. Do have to say Water Polo with Sasha was the greatest game there, it's when you realise all the grown men on holiday are actually still boys at heart hahaha!! A highlight from the animation team is the "Happy Holiday" hotel song which they dance on stage to (the tune will never leave your head hahaha.)

MISS YOU ANIMATION TEAM WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK X X X X X

Hotel Food:

All inclusive had great choices, variety of different mains & desserts. A few people did get bad stomachs for 2 days but there is an on site pharmacist to help. You get 2 free bottles of water in your room fridge which the hotel then allows you to refill from the main water coolers for free. What is amazing is that you can get MCDONALDS DELIVERED TO YOU at the hotel!!

Excursions & nightlife :

DOLPHINS!! There is a trip to swim with Dolphins (£75 English but well worth it.) Other trips quad biking in desert, snorkilng/diving (THE FISH & CORAL ARE ANOTHER WORLD!) You can get planes to Cairo for day trips too.

Main nightlife is a wide strip of restaurants, shops & clubs at Nama Bay. Highly recommend Pascha Night club (different music on certain nights ie RnB, Funky House, Hed Kandi.) Little Buddah nightclub is fantastic, quirky & plays Funky House. Obviously you have to sample flavoured tobacco through a shisha whilst surrounded by your mates on lether patterned floor cushions.

Money:

I'd advise to take a mixture of English & Egyption. Some people took all English / Euros's & were fine as everything is priced up in this however if you pay English sometime your change back is Egyption. We took Egyption & English, we also drew out more at cash point (only pays out Egyption Pound.)

Overall this was a fantastic hotel in a beautiful place. The only thing I would have liked is to have stayed longer. I have never returned to the same hotel before but I definately wish to return to the Three Corners Palmyra.

Thanks to all the wonderful staff for their hard work & excellent manners. An even bigger thanks to the animation team who are all outstanding.

Nikki & Nat x x x x x

The hotel was of an excellent condition and the staff were very helpful, the animation team were always willing to do something for the children and included them in all games and activities. The food was always well prepared and fresh and only duplicated over the last couple of days.

The three pools were great fun and all persons and ages were catered for. To have a great time a small tip for the waiters or room service on occasions made them more aware of your needs and so when lunching or dining your drinks would be waiting for you at a table they had set aside for you.

Booked this hotel as a party of 12 and have all had the most wonderful time. The staff are what make this hotel so special. Everyone does their very best to make sure each guest is happy and comfortable and they are all keen to ensure their standards are high, with the bar staff and manager asking for guests thoughts in the comments books throughout their stay.

The hotel is very clean and well equipped, the rooms are spacious and well maintained and the food was lovely. The only grumble about this was that the chefs serve the meat themselves and can be a little mean with quantity. The salads and veg dishes were gorgeous as were the deserts and we have all eaten well.

The alcohol flowed freely and if you ask for slightly smaller measures is very palatable. (I struggled with the Vodka as it was so strong but the wine was gorgeous as was the bar tender Shawky!)

The animation team are outstanding with so much energy and genuine friendliness. There is no way that anyone could not be encouraged to join in with at least some of the activities. My friend Christine and I can highly recommend the 11 am stretching class with Sima which kept us toned all week. Sasha and Tito were great with everyone especailly the kids and knew everyones names within a couple of days.

Another must is the turkish bath! Oh my word. It was fantastic and I would recommend one onthe first day of your trip so that your tan goes onto beautifully scrubbed, cleaned and moisturised skin. Both Tito and Midu were great and the girls in the group had a very enjoyable couple of hours relaxing in their hands!

The little bus takes you to Sharks Bay which is about 15 minutes away and I have never seen such creative seating. There is no way that 35 people should fit into a mini bus but we did! Well worth a visit, the sea was warm and clean and the fish fantastic. My husband booked his own diving trip from the beach which was mush better value than booking through the hotel.

We will be going back as soon as our tan fades!!

Loved it.

The hotel is located about 10-15 mins from the airport. There is some building of new hotels going on around (as in most of Sharm) but this did not affect us at all. There is aircraft noise but again this is not constant and did not bother us. The beach is 15 mins away by the hotel bus - try to get the 9am one as the later buses are very busy and although they put on another bus this takes a lot longer. The beach area has lots of sunbeds and you can get soft drinks, sandwiches and water as part of the all inclusive. We did eat lunch in a couple of the cafes on the beach as they're good and very reasonable. The only place within walking distance is a shopping area which also has a couple of bars and restaurants but you do get hassled quite a lot here as in Naama Bay! There is also a hotel bus into Naama Bay which you have to book at reception.

The hotel is very clean in both public areas and rooms. Our room was kept spotless all week with a variety of towel sculptures! The pools are not heated except for the childrens pool so only for the very brave! There are lots of sun loungers though and no-one was reserving them as they knew there was ample to go round. You get a towel card and can change beach towels whenever you want. You can borrow a hairdryer but probably easier to take your own.

A safe deposit box is free and located in a room beside reception. You don't need to change any money - they'll happily accept sterling, dollars or euros at any of the shops or cafes. There are a few shops in the hotel selling a variety of goods - we got some great beach shoes for £3.50 per pair and a good snorkel & mask for £10.

After reading some of the reviews we were a bit concerned about the food but had no problems with any stomach bugs and didn't hear of anyone else who had. The food was hot and there was a good selection. The breakfast was ample - cereal, fruit, yogurt, lovely bread, eggs cooked to order and cold meat/cheeses. We didn't have lunch there often as we stayed at the beach. Between 4 and 5 there is tea/coffee and cakes/pastries which are lovely and fresh. Dinner was lovely hot soups, lots of salad which was all well covered and kept cold and different meat/fish every night, veg and potatoes. There were barbecues a couple of nights with chicken, sausages and kofta which were all very good. A chef also made dishes such as pasta meals. There was also a kids corner with both hot and cold food.

The drinks here are poured from litre bottles and are proper Pepsi, 7 Up etc. The beer was ok and the red wine, although not the best we've had, was certainly not the worst!

The staff in this hotel work very hard and are all polite and pleasant.

The entertainment was average - typical for an AI resort!

The only negatives we found were that the beds are very hard and if you had a shower later than 7pm it was a bit hit and miss whether you got hot water or not!

On the whole we were very happy with this hotel for the money we paid and would go back.

I recently came back from a holiday at the Three Corners Palmyra resort. I have to say how spotlessly clean the hotel was,the rooms were tidy and fresh everyday and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The pools were lovely but shame they were too freezing cold to swin in!i thought they might be heated during the winter time(although the weather was very nice and sunny during my Febrauary stay),this spoilt it a bit for me as not many people went in the pools and i managed to force myself to swim in it on the last day, they were cleaned everyday(it's like they didnt want anyone to use them because they were so spotless).

The area is very isolated but surrounded by beautiful mountains. The free shuttle bus is needed to travel to the local beach and Naama Bay(nightlife town),this didnt bother me as the bus was regular everyday and didnt take long to get the beach(dont walk, some websites add that it's walking distance but it isnt).

The music in the hotel disco was always very good and the animation team kept me entertained.

The big letdown for me here was the food,we paid(quite expensive)for all inclusive and got really bad quality food, pretty much cold all the time, tasteless(everything tasted the same)and i had upset belly whole time i was there,i was careful not to have ice in my drinks and with meats. If you are going on holiday for great food then i would'nt recomment this hotel,if i would have known the food was this poor i would'nt have had AI.

Overall enjoyed my stay but was let down by the food.
