Great holiday small enough to keep you eye on the kids. The hotel is enclosed, 2 pools, suitable for children (mine were 15,12,4, at time of holiday).
Rooms really big and spacious, very clean, barbecue twice weekly eat as much as you want, if children don’t like what is on menu they will even cook sausage and chips for them. Waiters are really friendly and helpful always trying to make kids laugh. Computers in lounge (2) buy tickets if you want to go on internet.

Hubby, myself and 16 yr old daughter + her 16 yr old friend holidayed here. It was delightful, different, quiet, clean, lovely food and wine. We were so rested and enjoyed the place so much. The girls loved it, we initially thought that it might be too quiet for them, but the ancient interesting places to visit, shopping in Victoria, the capital, the horse drawn carriage trip around the island c/o Victor just around the corner from the Hotel, the local safe beach with on-beach eateries, made up for any lack of teenage nightlife requirements, the place fascinated them. There is a beach/cave nightclub the only one like it in the world apparently, with an upstairs to sit and eat in, for oldies, and a downstairs to dance the night away in for the youngies, which we didn't actually visit because we found so much else to do and we simply ran out of holiday time. It has to be the safest place we have ever visited as well, we all walked about happily, no crime in Xhagra where the Cornucopia is, it just doesn't exsist. The Hotel is delightful and comes into it's own after dark, the pictures available do not do it much justice really. At night the staff light candles everywhere. Eat in the restaurant or join in with the bbq's and enjoy the live band, twice weekly, or take a short stroll into the local square and eat at a restaurant out under the stars there and peoplewatch. Be warned you will put on weight as the food is so nice. There are 2 small swimming pools plus jaccuzzi pool and plenty of sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Order drinks and snacks at the bar and the waiter appears poolside with them. There are comfy lounges to sit in and chat with fellow holidayers, many of whom return year in year out and they really do!! The guest book is testimony to this. This place is a serendipity find-an ancient converted Farmhouse still with many retained features, pretty flower-clad stone archways and character aplenty. The Hotel has its own taxi service, although we enjoyed the local bus as well. The horse drawn carriage ride around the island was wonderful, the 'photo stops and views were amazing. Visit mainland Malta via ferry for the day and visit the Medina for a trip back in time that you will never forget. The firework festivals were something else as well. If you want a Costa type holiday i.e skyscraper on the prom. type holiday along with Brit Style cafe's and nightclubs do not visit here. If, however you want to meander with the locals and eat their food in the local restaurants and interact with them, then this a great place to do it. It's slow and easy, friendly, safe and so relaxing. It's been on tv twice featured on holiday programmes so that says something surely. It's not 5 star luxury, the rooms are quite basic, comfy & clean with all the amenities you'd expect though, hairdryer, air conditioning, t.v etc. And the barman quite happily popped our supper order up to our room, unasked, for us to enjoy while sitting out on our balcony gazing out over the valley. There are suites available which are up a notch, which I think we'd go for next time and bungalows across the road on a lower private level out of eyesight which are very nice. The whole Hotel is perched high up on a ridge with a beautiful view towards the sea across a valley. It is a lovely place and we adored it. The essence of it is it's different-time out maybe from your usual holiday. We went last week in June into July yet it wasn't heaving with people. It's as relaxing or as busy as you make it there. The regular visitors we got chatting with all said " ssh keep it a secret please!" Visit and you'll know why.
