All Angello Hotel

We saw the recent review about being moved to another hotel. I had the same experience in April. Arrived, only booked for 3 nights. They said there was a problem with the plumbing on the 3rd floor. We were moved to Hotel Lux which in fact features as a hostel on back packer sites. It was still 3 star but certainly had less facilities and no proper restaurants. We complained at Angelo and the receptionists just threw his hands in the air and said 'Come back Tomorrow' Please don't stay at this hotel. They don't deserve to be in business.

This hotel was booked through a internet provider, and as the stories go, we were given a little room with a bathroom that had a makeshift shower. No bath. The shower had to be used in the same space as the toilet, therefore everything was wet in the "toilet room". It was awful, the staff acted as if we were asking for too much when we asked for a room with a bath. I would NOT suggest this hotel to anyone. A charming small hotel in a perfect location. It is only about 50 steps from San Marcos Basilica and 100 meters from the water taxi. The in house restuarant is very nice. The staff is very helpful and most speak English. The owner of the hotel has a large collection of original art on display in the hotel for your enjoyment. I shall return.P.S. Watch out for the hot water in the shower,ouch!

We got a great deal on the internet for this hotel. It is located 1 block away from St. Marks square. The front desk was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, modern and the rooms were large (compared to other hotels we stayed at in italy). The bathroom was beautiful with a soaking tub, towel warmers. The hotel has obviously been renovated recently and everything is very well maintained. The breakfast was good and again the hotel staff was very friendly. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Italy.

Stayed at this hotel in february for Valentines weekend with my girlfriend. The service was excellent, rooms were spacious and location was as central as you can get for the price. The hotel is about 50 yards from the main San Marco square where a majority of the Venetian attractions are. Thanks to the hotel we had a truely memorable trip to one of the most beautiful cities in the world

Do not book your stay here! They will give away your reservation to someone who wants to stay longer than you to make more $$. We booked a couple of nights here this summer and when we arrived they said some water damage made our room unavailable. They lied because another family just checked in right before us. We stayed here in September 2003 and got a good internet deal. The location is very near to St Mark's square. The rooms size is ample for Venice, we had a queen size bed. The bathroom was renovated and modern. The staff was friendly and breakfast was great. We had a good experience and would stay here again.

The best part about this hotel is their excellent location! The room size was comfortable though there was a mild odor (though we didn't notice if after the first day) The staff was courteous and helpful. We arrived early in the day and they allowed us to leave our bags until check-in time. My wife accidentally locked herself in the bathroom and couldn't get out!! I stayed at this hotel in January 2003, with my husband and two children. We had a fab room with a beautiful Italian double bed, parquet flooring, a large bathroom, plus an additional room with second sink and toilet, TV and phone. Our room overlooked the water. Our children were in a seperate connecting room, which was down 4 stairs and had two pull out beds, a TV and phone. They loved their own area and so did we. I stayed in the hotel in July of 2003 and had a good experience there. The location is great and the hotel was relatively easy to find (despite the reputation Venice has). It is very close to San Marco which was great for a short stay. The room was very nice...had an airconditioning unit, no real view to speak of, well maintained room.
