absolutely great!
i booked my stay using hiltohonors points. I have to say that my stay was great in every way. check-in personnel were gracious and accomodating, and assigned me a beautiful, newly renovated room. guest services brought anything i needed to my room prompty. the bathroom was clean and well stocked. the view! from the balcony , we saw the ocean, the sailoats, and sunset over the mediteranean every day. the beach was delightful, the ocean gentle, and the amenities affordable. definitely a wonderful experience.
A Three Star Hotel
The hotel scene in Tel Aviv is complicated by the lack of newer hotels. Because of the constant turmoil Israel faces from it's neighbors hotel chains have been reluctant to build new hotels. The Tel Aviv Hilton is a hotel built in 1965 and it shows it's age in too many ways. The hotel is a 3 and a half star hotel in my opinion with rooms that are on the small size and the bathrooms challenge cruise ships for their lack of space. This hotel will never be confused as part of the Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons chains. If you... more
enjoyable stay at the Hilton
Just returned from 6 night stay at the Hilton as part of Israel tour-room large and great view of the sea and beach-right on the boardwalk and ocean and good location for restaurants and attractions-terrific full Israeli breakfast buffet was part of our package-staff and service was fine.
The Rudest and Most Awful Staff in the World
I would strongly advise that, if you have young children, you steer clear of this hotel. The staff, the management in particular, seemed only to have to glimpse at the children in order to be horrified by them. The swimming pool area was fine, the staff there were young and reasonably mellow. However! When we sat in the lobby and ordered some drinks, the hotel management, particularly the female lobby manager, had a meltdown. The problem seemed to be that children walking around the lobby quietly was not the image the Hilton wanted... more
Not quite as bad as expected!
As a rule I find Israeli hotels very poor & was expecting the worst. However I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent in the lobby, the sushi restaurant seemed a strange choice & was pretty empty. Breakfast was reasonably good, although it could be greatly improved. The staff suffered the usual arrogance & indifference that is an Israel trademark, although there were one or two exceptions. The bedroom was large & well equipped, the maintenance isnt great with poor quality repairs to furnishings. The bed itself & bedding was... more
Beware a big ripoff
The Hilton graciously offered us it's "Executive Service" whereby, for a hefty fee (nearly $200), they said they would return our rental car and drive us to the airport. As we have 3 kids and a lot of luggage, it seemed worthwhile. By the time they tacked on an additional $100 or so in fees at the last minute, we groused but went along with it. Imagine my fury when I my credit card bill showed up with an extra $80 from the car rental company for "tire damage" (presumably it occurred while in the hotel's custody, $20 for hotel parking... more
A nice week
This hotel has to be good as it is a Hilton hotel, but for it's proud prices there could be more. Our room was very basic and old fashioned. When we arrived we were told that breakfast is not included, so we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, because it was very expensive! The morning of our or departure we were asked why we never ate breakfast, as it was included in the price of the room we paid!!! The lobby is very nice and the asian restaurant has quite good food! All together it was ok!
Could be the best Hilton in the World!
I am a Hilton Diamond Club member. Hilton is my hotel of choice. This Hilton may be the best one that I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. A well appointed room, fantastic beach location, a wonderful 17th floor executive meeting place...I would not stay anywhere else in Tel Aviv. Hats off to the Hilton Tel Aviv!
Excellent hotel, with great service.
I stayed in the Hilton for a couple of nights. Room was good with no issues. Lobby is impressive. Check in was friendly and easy. Breakfast was great. The hotel looks over the ocean/beach and there is also a big outdoor pool. Internet access is expensive but that is par for the course. Room service was good, bar service was friendly and efficient. I also left something valuable in my room on check out. When I called after I got home it was in lost and found and is being shipped back to me (at my cost which is fair enough). Overall... more
Beautiful seaview
We stayed at the Hilton Tel Aviv during the Xmas period and we found the place OK. The service was somewhat unsatifying and mediocre. Dining in menu was very limited. The only nice thing we had was a stunning view to the beach and ocean.
