Amazing breakfast
from nevey2006
Stayed at Hilton Dartford on Friday 21st June 2008 for one night at a family room rate of £89 incl. breakfast. Our family room was clean and large. Nothing special but nice enough. Crabtree toiletries were lovely. Was not keen on the rusty plug chain but overall a good room. Exceptionally quiet for a motorway stopover hotel. It is within a stones throw of the Dartford crossing and very close to Bluewater. The breakfast was absolutely lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely stay here again for shopping at Bluewater. Worst bit was the added extra parking costs - which was £3 for the night.
Spacious rooms but a bit tired
from lilythepink06
I stayed here on business a few weeks ago - 2 nights. Check in was fast, efficient and friendly, in fact all the staff were great. The rooms are fairly large - or at least by UK standards, and the beds comfortable with good pillows and sheets. There was a desk in my room - not sure if all rooms have - which was helpful as I did have some work to get on with. The decor of the rooms was very tired - and somewhat dated - however, there was nothing ostensibly wrong with it. The bathroom was ok - but that is the least you would expect from a hilton. Food - I ate there for 2 days - it was ok on the 1st day but I could not have eaten there for 3 days running. There was also a noticable fly issue around the buffet area which was rather off putting to say the least. Not very vegetarian aware either - usually trays of soggy vegetarian pasta placed right next to all the meat dishes (as a carnivore it doesnt bother me but those restricted to a vegetarian diet in my party were grumbling by dinner time on the 1st day). The breakfast is probably the best meal in the hotel. The bar was astronomically priced - £2.65 for a diet coke, £3 (if I remember correctly for a mineral water), £7 for a glass of wine. £5.45 for a gin and tonic (bit of a bargain really compared to a diet coke). Quite shocking really - I have had cheaper drinks in really nice bars in London, Paris or New York. Bar areas and staff were well kept - newspapers, snacks, clean and tidy. Leisure facilities - I think these are in the process of being done up (or at least I hope so). Dirty, badly maintained, and shabby are the best way I can describe. It is a long time since I have used a Living Well gym/swimming pool and the ones I have used in the past were a lot nicer/cleaner. I was actually quite shocked at how badly kept the whole gym area was (the gym was ok it was more the pool and changing areas). There were also loads of kids having swimming lessons (which is fine but doesnt lend itself to a relaxing swim and sauna after a long day stuck in a conference room). Location - yup, well appointed rooms have delightful views over the dartford bridge. It is very handy for the shopping centres/stop over on the way to the tunnel. Aside from this, and business visitors I cannot see why anyone would want to stay here. If a boyfriend had taken me here for a romantic weekend he would very quickly have become an ex-boyfriend. In summary, rather tired, business focused hotel which might be useful as a cheap stop-over.
Fantastic Week-end

Stayed with my wife and the kids last week-end. The kids loved the Pool. I was amazed that the hotel is that close to Bluewater Shopping Centre (the wife loved this part) and I enjoyed the food. Big rooms and nice staff. Good value for money
Fantastic food, fab staff!

We have stopped here 2 years ago and we were really looking forward to staying again! We were not disapointed! (well, only a little, i'll explain later) We stayed as part of an organised trip to the London marathon. We only stayed one night, had dinner and breakfast. It is quite a way out of London though... The food i must say is extremley good! Not only is it all hot and fresh, there is so much choice! there were canapes, pate, 2 soups, loads of starters, lots of different salads, lots of different breads, at least 7 different mains including a joint of pork, chicken, lamb, lasagne (which is the best i've ever had!) , huge amounts of sides, and the DESSERTS!!! wow! honestly, the food was just great! We didn't pay for dinner or breakfast as it was all included in our trip but dinner was only £20 a head, well worth it! The room was basic but was very comfy and clean, last time we stopped we, unknowingly, had a free upgrade so we had bathrobes and stuff, this time we didn't get that and it made us a little sad :( Breakfast was just as good as dinner! You do have to queue for toast though so this can take time... The Staff were extremley helpful, i asked to borrow a permenant pen, they spent ages looking for me and when the first one wasn't quite what i wanted they went back again and searched some more and found me a whole pack of different colours! They really couldn't do enough and were so friendly! This really does help make your stay that much better! We did use the pool, and facilitiess, it was small and did get busy but as you don't have to pay for it? well, i wasn't complaining! We would definatley stop again!
A lovely stay with minor gripes.

We stayed at the hotel for one night 29/02/08. I booked 2 rooms, both of which were fantastic; good size, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We debated whether to bother going to the function we had travelled for or stay and enjoy our hotel! The pool was clean albeit compact and the staff here were also friendly and polite. The hotel staff were very polite, cheerful and very helpful. The room was clean, well presented, although some mould spots in bathroom this did not spoil anything for us. The atmosphere was very relaxed and breakfast was to die for. My minor complaints would be the food/drink we had from the ‘café’ bar was very poor, hot chocolate and coffee which tasted like dishwater! And the overnight parking is not free. My only real regret was we did not stay for 2 nights as we were very chilled after 1. I would definitely use this hotel again.
needs refurbishment

stayed hear in what was meant to be a deluxe plus room but it was pretty standard in my opinion and not what you should expect from a hilton! bed was comfy but that's where it stops! carpet was grubby light fittings were starting to come away from wall and bathroom floor had big lumps out of it! our so called welcome pack witch we received as in deluxe plus room was 2 yes only 2 chocolate's and i don't mean bars i mean little chocs you get in a box lol, the pool was disgusting paintwork all chipped away from wall, floor filthy, and grim all around sides of pool. the only good thing was breakfast witch was lovely but did not make up for rest of stay! staff seemed friendly but not very efficient! i didn't get my paper at all and they eithen charged me for it! despite it being a free item with hilton honnors! there are far better hiltons around i just hope they bring this one back up to the standard it should be with major re fit soon!
Very Nice

Check in easy, a few of my colleagues are HHonours and they got chocolates, water and some Hilton slippers in their room as an upgrade? My room was quite big, had a large bed, a sofa and a table and chairs for my laptop. The TV didnt work as the aerial had been plugged out, not a problem I just plugged it back in, but i wonder how much they check over the rooms when someone has checked out. The food here is gorgeous, anyone who complains is crazy! so much choice, fish, chicken, roast beef, and much more. My colleagues had a competition to see how many courses they could have and one had 10 different courses consisting of starter, main course and pudding! I have stayed at the Hilton Manchester airport and although the service is better here the manchester hilton has better rooms etc. Saying that we were told that the hiltons have 3 bands. so you could get a crappy hilton or a very nice hilton and you can tell the difference by the price of drinks etc!
No right to call this hotel a Hilton
from Orah_UK
Stopped at this hotel just before Christmas on a business trip. What a disappointment! Downstairs the foyer looked reasonably good, but the room was such a let down! Although clean and tidy, it was nothing special and certainly nothing more than i would expect from a Travelodge or Holiday Inn. Except there, my phone might have worked. Not impressed, so had to use my mobile. Consquently my battery became critical but when i asked to borrow a charger, they said they had none! Was this really the Hilton? Even a tiny B & B i recently stopped in in Maidstone provided more services than this. The leisure facilities were also disappointing with a small shallow pool that was such a funny shape, it made it really awkward to swim in it. The food was lovely, but the price of drinks exorbitant. Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries and nice towels in the bathroom were good touches, and i would stop there again but only if i could pay less than half the price.
Not upto Hilton standard
from JAWSBE
The only good thing about this Hotel is the location if you want to shop at one of the local retail parks, the hotel rooms are in need of a faceliift, if you are a HH member, they try and convince you that an upgrade has been provided, but after staying a few times in upgraded and none upgraded rooms, I could not tell the diference. On a brighter note, some of the staff are very friendy.
what a nice hotel
from pjjc37
This hotel is lovely - despite its position perched on the edge of the M25. The hotel has very convenient and free (despite car parking charges displayed) parking. The reception staff were very welcoming and apologising for a mix up on room upgrade. The room was large with 2 double beds and also very quiet despite overlooking the toll booths. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner which was a la carte and represented very good value for money. Drinks however were expensive. Overall a very good experience. Recommended.

I am not too sure what is required to achieve a 4 star rating, but personally - I wouldn't rate it 4 stars. We're also very unsure as to what in the room qualified this as having a title "Deluxe". ***The story: We booked a Double, Double Deluxe room and the room was... more
