I would certainly recommend this hotel. Although it is 5.5km from centre access in easy by tram No. 2 or No. 18 bus. Bedrooms are modern, spacious & clean. Breakfast is not cheap at 17.50 euro each if you are on room only basis.
Good 5 minute walk from stops but all flat & easy even with luggage. Taxi's are quite expensive! I would suggest train from Schipol Airport to Central Station & get No. 2 tram to Aletta Jacobslaan. (costs 2 euro 40. on tram) I don't know how much train is but cheaper than 37 Euro in taxi!
We hired a bike from reception for 8 Euro for 1 day. If you book in town they were 12.75 euro.
Check out street entertainers at Leidseplein. Again easy access on the tram.

I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It opened in April 2005 and the decor and ambience is brilliant. The bar area is quite small but the food in the restaurant is scrumptious. Service is great both in the restaurant as well as all hotel staff. The rooms are HUGE and very modern, laminated flooring, mini bar and a buffet breakfast with both hot and cold food.

Do not miss this venue. It's a little out of the city centre but the metro is a 10 min walk away and the number 164 bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you right to the city centre. The number 2 tram is a 3 minute walk from the hotel which also takes you to the City Centre. <br>

Staff made a number of mistakes during my stay, with no apology or service with a smile. It doesn’t take much to be friendly.
Unfortunately I will not be returning to this hotel.
