We had a great holiday the hotel staff were really friendly and attentive, the hotel was always very clean and fresh, the food was great as you could eat and drink from the time you got up till it was time to go to bed and there was lots of choice so you couldn't get board with what you were eating.
you are really close to the beach and the heart of the night life is only a 10-15 min walk away.
- Advice: great area
- Good For: Beach

I don't know what hotel the bad reviewers went to , it certainly was not the Iberostar Las Dalias. My wife & I have just returned from a weeks holiday there, the staff couldn't be more helpful, the food was great (and I am a fussy eater) and talk about clean, you could eat off the floor! We could not fault it.
The only thing that let our holiday down was the constant bonbardment by the ticket touts for timeshare & the sunglasses sales people. We are definately going again.
Go for a day trip to Loro Parque.

I was a little disappointed with this Hotel after reading all the reviews before I went. It sounded fantastic! However, in reality is was just ok. The first week was better than the second when School holidays started and the hotel was full the staff couldnt cope. The Restaurant food went down hill, the staff became more stressed and some of them quite rude.
The pool was really nice, but if you didnt have a sunbed reserved by 9.30 there was no chance of getting one!
Costa Adeje a great place and would go back, but not to this hotel. Not impressed with Cosmos Reps either!.

My friend and i booked this holiday on impulse after our 18th Birthdays we stayed at this hotel in April, we knew it was a good hotel as we had read really good reviews on it, so we sort of knew what to expect.
When we arrived we were greeted with cava (which was nice as we wanted to start our holiday as soon as possible!), as it was late at night we wanted to head straight out.
We soon realised we werent as near to Veronicas as we thought we were, which was slightly annoying, however it was only about a 15-20 minute walk, however it was a very lonely road with very few bars until you got to the beach front, so be careful!.
Veronicas was really good! Price wise, we would pay 5E each and get 2 vodka and mixers and a bottle of shots between us! All bars offered different music, theres always something to suit everyone, O'neills was a good night! Tramps and Rags, bit of a scary experience outside of there when its closing time, it can get a little, violent now and again but its fine if you just walk past and keep yourself to yourself.
The food in the hotel was OK, i wouldnt say it was amazing, i was sick on my third night which i believe was because of the food.
The pool area was lovely, there was no problem in finding a lounger to catch the raise.
The hotel was situated across the road from a supermarket which was convenient.
The rooms were very basic, however very clean, we would get fresh towels every day. There was a camera pointing to our balcony from the hotel which we were a little uncomfortable with so we decided to ask reception and enquire about it, they did what you would expect them to do really, they shrugged us off and fobbed us off with a pithetic excuse, but it was fine as we managed to prod it until it turned away from our balcony!
The situation of the hotel was ok for families and couples as it wasnt in a very lively area, which didnt really appeal to us, but after hearing about some of the hotels by veronicas we were slightly relived to be staying in such a nice hotel.
I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in Tenerife and wants to be away from the party scene as it was in good walking distance of the beach too. Staff are friendly and helpful and the whole hotel was really well furbished. We felt this was abit of a family hotel and felt slightly out of place when we used to roll in at 6 in the morning and recieve discusted looks of the OAP's, (which were all European, you will be lucky to find any English in this hotel) therefore we dont think we would stay here again but it was a lovely stay but i dont recommend it to the young and lively!
Also... The weather was fantastic, i got a mint tan!!... it was atleast 30 everyday!

Me and my family have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday to this hotel, and we found it absolutely brilliant and would definitely recommend it to anyone and definitely go back again.
Where do it start... the food was brilliant lots of variety plus with themed night once a week (Spanish, Mexican).
The rooms- Were the perfect size for two adults, it can fit up to 3 people in one room but might be a tight squeeze therefore we got two separate rooms!!
The entertainment- This was really good most nights, with the entertainment team putting on shows some nights which were better than some of the professional acts.
The pool- The pools were a good size, however the only downside is that you are not aloud any inflatable’s or balls in the pool and they are quite strict on this, therefore young kids can get bored!!
All in all the holiday was very very good and would i would definitely go back there again.

I went to Las Dalias in August 2004 8 2006. the reason i went twice was because it was so good! The food was brilliant, quite repetitive though! Quite a cramped resort and stuffy! but still, all the staff were nice, everything was brilliant, facilities were of the highest standard and the three pool really gave you something extra, each one a
different size! Iberstar hotels are fantastic and is a brilliant company!
(that is the compoany who owns the hotel by the way!)
Overall, it is a fantastic hotel, brillint rooms and the air conditioning is brill, works fantastice, these are the sort of holidays that you would do anything to stay for ever and ever!
Brill place to go!
Good for couples and also families
Brill Place!

Just returned from a 12 day holiday with my 17 year old daughter on the 12th July 2008 staying at the Iberostar las dalias. I cant believe how others enjoyed staying at this hotel. I booked this hotel because the majority gave it good ratings ?? I wish i had listened to the minority. I have never wrote a review before as i dont like to moan but felt i had to. Where do i start!! This hotel is not a 4 star but a 3 and i am being kind. I arrived at the hotel to be given a room on the second floor (i emailed the hotel a week before i arrived and asked for a room on a high floor with pool view and was told that wasnt a problem.) When i mentioned this to the receptionist he abruptly told me that was the only room available. Once i got to the room my god did it smell!! Bathroom full of ants and no view at all. I made my way to reception and was then told by another unpleasant receptionist if i wanted to move to a high floor i had to pay 120 euros. I argued but they wouldnt budge my daughter was getting upset by this time so i paid as there was noway i could stay in that room. I was given a room on the 4th floor as i made my way to the room i couldnt believe the state of the carpets... dirty filthy to say the least. Hotel is in desperate need of painting too. Got to the room to find it had the same smell as the previous room!! We had a better view and at least no ants!! Next day after the cleaner had been the smell of room was just as bad. I cant believe i am saying this but i went to the supermarket to buy cleaning products to clean the room!! Sheets changed every 3 days on the 4th day they forgot so i asked if the cleaner could change the sheets a cleaner came but she only changed pillowcases!! After asking why the sheets werent changed she came back to do what should have been done in first place. Same happened on the seventh day no sheets changed! Rang to ask for them to be changed cant believe how i was spoken to by receptionist. We were half board but ate out food yuk. Restaurant staff unpleasant too. Breakfast a nightmare if you go for breakfast around 9.30 you have to wait to get a table. Food was barely warm. On the plus side hotel is in a good location kiddies entertainment is good always something for them to do. A beach short walk away, shopping centre and taxi rank straight opposite. Nice restaurant on the roundabout at the bottom of Dalias called Verdes. I would recommend going to EL Duque beach its gorgeous also very plush cafes nearby. 5 minute taxi ride but worth it. I spoke to a nice couple who mentioned the Iberostar bouganville is a much cleaner and nicer hotel with better entertainment . They stayed there 4 years running but thought they would try Dalias. In their words " totally the wrong decision". Sorry if i sound like a moaner i just dont want anyone else to be disappointed the way we were. If you haved already booked i hope you have a better experience than i did. If like me you read reviews before booking ( although i dont agree with the good ones on this hotel) take my advise try another hotel. Last word for a great night out try a new bar called Soul Divine just round the corner from tenerife sol hotel in las americas. Live entertainment every night different soul bands on singing supremes, lionel ritchie etc and they are brilliant.

My partner and I have literally just come back from this hotel, after a brilliant 7 day holiday.
We were greeted by very friendly reception staff who offered a glass of cava/orange as we completed the registration forms. We were allocated room 811 (which was a problem as I cannot use lifts) this was changed immediately without any problem. We were then given a room on the second floor right in the middle of the reception (3rd floor), restaurant and pool (1st floor). Although the corridor through to the room was not as fancy as the reception the carpets smelted and looked brand new. The room was spacious and very clean with new furniture and bathroom, the only down side was the decor which had become aged over time, there was some painting going on during the week so this may change.
Overall I cannot fault the hotel, the rooms were cleaned daily, the staff were very polite, the food was good and the entertainment was fantastic especially for the kids. This is the only hotel ive said at where they do not allow people to reserve the sun beds which ment you didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn to beat the germans!! The air conditioning in this hotel was also free!!!
I would definately recommend the loro parque trip the place was amazing, we watched the whale, dolphin and sealine shows (all fantastic) and there were loads of other animals there.
If you plan to eat out, try aunty's the famous fish and chip shop you wont be disappointed and harleys the american bar was also very nice, the staff were very accomodating and the food was lovely.

We have just got back from this hotel. I read reviews and decided that maybe those who said that this wasnt a 4 star hotel were just picky, unfortunately I agree with them after my visit.
As a whole the hotel was ok but for us there were a few things missing. We were on the 5th floor and to answer the person who said it was impossible to get a sea view we did have a good view of the sea, although in the distance of course. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, one thing my hubby was really unhappy about. The carpets mentioned earlier are as bad as they were reported, they are like a mustard colour and look almost flood damaged in their appearance and although the lobby and restaurant area were marbled and looked expensive as soon as you go up the stairs (much safer than the unpredictable lifts that have a mind of their own) the hotel looks more two star, the rooms are clean and the cleaners are thorough, infact it is the staff that make the place, especially the entertainment staff who are a real asset. That said the entertainment was too short, starting at 9.30 and finishing at 11. Although the bars were open until 12.30 there wasnt even a disco open until then which would have been nice. It was really hot and prices at the bar were steep, in the end we upgraded to all inclusive to combat this at 21 euros per person per night.
The food was good and varied, but watch out for some of the stuff that is cooked on the griddle because we had a piece of chicken and a piece of pork that wasnt cooked properly.
Tenerife itself was lovely and the weather was wonderful, excursions we took part in were expensive but really good fun.
I can definitely recommend the Monkey Park a few miles away and although we werent impressed with the Aqua Park and all it's hidden charges (24 euros to get in each and then extra for hire of lockers, sunbeds and even the inflatables for the flume) the 60 euros we paid for the dolphin experience, learning about the beautiful creatures and interacting with them was the highlight of our holiday.
I suppose the icing on the cake for ius was the fact that they decided to so some work on the hotel while we were there and the use of a pnumatic drill in the stairway for three days was torture and meant that even though we had upgraded to all inclusive we had to leave the hotel to avoid pounding headaches.
In summary this hotel was ok, but if you are looking for 4 star perks you wont get them here. It wasn;t bad, but ut wasn't good either.

Husband and I recently returned from a brilliant ten day holiday at this hotel. I booked our accommodation independently and got a very good price.
Offered a glass of Cava as we completed the booking resistration forms which was a nice touch. Reception staff were lovely, very polite and helpfull.
Had previously read on other review web sites that its a good ideas to email hotel requesting room type etc. So I did this, requesting high floor and sea/pool view if poss.
This is what we got, a lovely room on 9th floor with a fabulous view over the area and sea and pool. We were advised however that if we wished to booked this room in the future there would be an extra cost of 5 euros per day.
Room serviced daily and free fridge, telly, hair dryer, shampoo etc. We paid 18 euros for 10 day safe hire.
You can also hire beach towels for a refundable deposit of 5 euros per person.
We also had the option of upgrading to all inclusive for 19 euros per day per person but felt we couldn't justify paying this for a light lunch time snack and a glass of wine. Other option was 12 euros per person per day for lunch including drinks but again as we are recently retired all we require at lunchtime is a snack or such like and a glass of beer or wine. Plenty of cafe bars etc round the corner with good varied lunch time menus and a happy hour which lasted all day. Large beer 1 euro 50 and large glass of wine 2 euros 20. Brilliant.
Pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of sun loungers. We did what others were doing in the first couple of days, ie putting towel down back of 9.00 before breakfast but soon realised that this wasn't really necessary.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. Lovely hot sunshine, lovely hotel and food and bedroom, plenty of rest and lazing about. All we were looking for.
We thought the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent with lots of variety and choices.
We would have no hesititation in going back to this hotel in the future particularly if the cost were the same.

I stayed at Las Dalias with my teenage son on an all inclusive and had a very enjoyable holiday.
All the staff were very polite and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very nice and plenyful, always served with a smile from the many chefs who are always cooking meat and fish in front of you.
The only problem we encountered was on the last day as we wasnt informed beforhand that once you check out at 12.00 noon then everything ends on the all inclusive and meals also for the half board guest, which is ok if you have an early flight. You can pay 14 euros each if you want to stay all inclusive for the rest of the day not sure what half board guest do for evening meal though.
We would certainly visit this hotel again and recomend it to friends and family.

We spent two days at this hotel and requested a move. Having been to Iberostar Hotels in the past and always being happy with the standard, we were really disappointed. The hotel is run down and dirty. When we first arrived, we changed rooms 4 times due to a damp unpleasant smell in the first three rooms. The rooms we were shown as alternatives either had stained carpets or had workmen in the adjoining rooms carrying out refurbishments. Tired after a long journey, we eventually accepted a 4th room but two days into the holiday, after living with the stained carpets, we found a large stain on the mattress. The beds were seriously uncomfortable and the rooms are very basic, however the bathrooms were nice. The corridors feel like a prison and the inside of the hotel is dark. In the hotel's defence, the food was very nice but not enough to keep us there, especially when hygiene was compromised so much in the rooms. Thomas Cook reps were very responsive to our complaints though and within hours had found us accommodation at another hotel in the same resort at no extra cost so we were impressed with their efficiency. Daytime snacks (outside of restaurant hours) were extremely limited and consisted of a bowl of rolls leftover from breakfast with a slice of ham, also left over from breakfast and wrapped in cling film....dry with no margarine, mayonaise, tomato or anything. Entertainment wasn't too bad but we only experienced two nights of it. The irish dancing with 'pre-recorded' tap dance noises that they didn't keep in time with, finished us off. The hotel is definitely NOT 4 star standard as advertised, perhaps the food in the restaurant meets this standard but otherwise it would struggle to reach 3 star.
