This is a beautiful hotel, both in interior presentation, and in its location. I stayed here for five nights for a conference that was run within the hotel. The rooms are exceptional, with the biggest hotel television screens I have ever seen.
There is a free swimming pool and gym located on floor eight, and even a small indoor running track. (Some of the guest rooms on floor eight are close enough to the pool that you would have a chlorine smell, so try to ask for a room on a different floor.) Immediately outside the hotel is the river and it looks spectacular, by day and by night (when everywhere is lit up).
The Chicago mass transit railway 'central loop' is just a two minute walk away, so its easy to get where you're going. Most tourist attractions can also be reached on foot, such as the Sears Tower and the John Hancock building. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
It might cost a little more than some other hotels, but often you can get good deals on the Hilton chain by booking online, and also the central location of the hotel might mean that you save money elsewhere on travel.
