Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort

Let me preface this by saying something about some of the other reviews. It sounds like some people are very picky about where they stay and expect 5-star services at every hotel. If you want 5-star service, stay at a 5-star hotel. That said, I gave the Hilton a rating of excellent, because it is a wonderful, reasonably priced hotel with all the amenities that I required. Customer service was not impressive at all Our room was hot and stuffy all 4 nights we where there. The air condition was not working properly and we needed to leave the door open the last night it got so hot. I would of left the hotel but I pre paid to get the best rate. I won't do that again!! We complained each night they said they will get it fixed but it never was. We ask to be moved to a room that had window that open and they said they reserved the to gold members

We spent two days here, at $116 a night (Hilton "Net Direct" rate). We booked this around 3 weeks prior, and then we were disappointed that rate did go down to $109 one week prior. I emailed manager, trying to get rate reduced, and he gave us breakfast coupons instead! For $116 including breakfast, this was a steal! Hotel was very nice. Fun to walk to Downtown Disney. We got a great rate of 60.00 a night through Priceline. The hotel was worth double that a night (at least). The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were well-maintained and the pool area was really nice. We loved walking to Downtown Disney and at night we could see the fireworks from Pleasure Island. We were even allowed to go into the Disney parks on the Extra Magic hour days...that was a real plus! The staff were very attentive and all of our requests were met with a smile. A+ for service. How To Pay For WDW HiltonThanks to Price Line, I won the WDW Hilton at $60 a night per room, for the two rooms I secured on my 10-day family vacation. To be honest, after reading some of the other reviews on this hotel, I was concerned that I had made a horrible mistake. I recently stayed at the Hilton Walt Disney World a few months ago in August, there's no other hotel like it. It's just a five minute walk to Downtown Disney where you can wine and dine and well as entertain yourself with movies and shopping. Hilton has the perfect location with a magnificent lobby and guest rooms and restaurants from Japanese to Seafood. The rooms are cozy and wonderful with soft beds and lovely colors. We stayed here for 4 nights in September. The property and rooms were beautiful and the resort is loaded with ammenities. The staff was mostly courteous and friendly (had one bad experience with a rude valet). The draw backs are the parking is hard to come by and is very inconvienient (you can valet for about $11/night) and the lobby is full of people trying to sell you a time share (they are courteous, but it is still annoying to have to deal with when staying in a 4 star resort).

We just returned from our week at the Hilton at Downtown Disney. I was pleased with the room and most of the hotel services. ( Although the dining was just ok. The 24 hour deli was a complete rip off . A small sandwich was $8 alone, plus almost $3 for soda or water.) The poolside service was good, I enjoyed the PIna Colada's from Rum Largo (although their hours are somewhat limited). Arrived at the Hilton on August 25. After the long car ride from Jersey it was nice to have a quick check in. Our room was Beautiful!!!! Super Clean, the room we stayed in was the room they show on expedia No frdge, but they supply you a snack bar(fridge)Over Priced, We brought our own snacks and drinks with us,there are plenty of places to get snacks and drinks. My family (2+2) stayed 4 nights at the hotel in a standard room with 2 double beds. Room was nice and comfortable but you have to pay for the extras - safe at $4/day, mini fridge at $7/day, etc. The overall feeling is that you are in a high (not top!) standard hotel: the restaurants area, the pool, the lobby and so on. They have an excellent free shuttle srevice to the Disney parks which runs every half hour from early morning till late night (after the parks close) which serves only a couple of the nearby hotels located on Hotel Plaza Blvd.... more
