Comments:  Had to write something as we were next door at the Hotel Fiesta Milord for 2 weeks........ and came to the Playa bella on many evenings. Firstly Roy & Chris work so hard at the entertainment they do.... Karaoke and bingo .... also day time activities.... wow must be on Red Bull..........they made us welcome........ and so did the bar staff and waiters
The evening caberet was well above the average that we came to expect from our hotel and other holidays. We must point out though that the highlight of our trips to the Playa Bella was Monday nights with Dave Vincent as Elvis and then with his Rock & Roll Show ......... we saw the Elvis show first which was WOW as i have seen so many and his voice and moves..... i am a Dave Vincent fan now......the rock & roll show with comedy and impressions was even more WOW such talent ........ all in all fantastic will be coming back next year and to stay at Playa Bella. THANKYOU ALL x

Comments:  Just got back from the Playa Bella had a good holiday but its somewhere i would not return two. We have 3 young children aged between 5 and 1, the best part of their holl was swimming in the baby section of the pool, thats when you managed to get a sunbed, their were people sat at the pool side from 7am with their towels over the umbrella posts, they were unlocked at 8.50 gone by 8.51. The one thing i found really irriting was the adults without children, they used to take all the space around the baby pool so families with young children had to sit on the pool edge when they were in the pool. When we arrived at the apartments we were told we had to wait 3.5hours as the present guests dont vacate the room we were allocated until 12.00pm, we arrived at 10.30am, i thought this was very frustrating as we had been up for several hours with 3 young children and all they wated to do was sleep. The coach driver dropted us off in the middle of the street gave us half our cases and started to drive off, my husband had to shout him to explain that he put our cases on either side of the coach. I agree with all the other comments with regards to being constantly pested to buy glasses, hats, cd's, etc etc. One bit of advice watch your handbags as a lady had hers pinched when we were their, if you buy icecreams go to the local shop as they are a lot cheaper, and the best place to eat is Relish dont be fooled by the name they dont just sell burgers, the food was excellent definately the best by far, and also ear plugs are a good idea the door buzzers can get very irriting at 5am especially when a tune is being played on them.

Comments:  I just came from Ibiza with my parents, I stayed at the playa bella and let me tell you something the playa bella is not a friendly place to be and very bad service. I must say it's not that quite of your holiday choice.

The location out of three I would give two because the beach is just where a rear garden would be, the restaurents near the playa bella are friendly and nice. The food are quite exquisit.
For the children the funfair is only 2 blocks away so your children can have fun but transport is very low as it is hard to get a taxi in the area.

You would be relunctunt to be scared as the playa bella is surrounded by an atmosphere of criminal status and violence.
>I could hear police sirens every night
> When I was coming from shopping I saw a group of gang members running on the road trying to avoid police patrol.

The cleansliness is thin as room service is met online twice a week. The furnishing are not the standerds you would want to expect, the elevator is filled with water as swimmers come by the elevator after they swim.

The service is poor VERY POOR for thje reception. We told the reception to give us a wake up call and we didn't get it. When we first waited for our rooms they told us to wait for 2 hours.

Comments:  Just returned from 2 weeks at the Playa Bella.
This is my second stay at these appartments and after reading some of the awful comments I felt compelled to add my own review.
We are a party of 5 adults and 2 children, we are aged from 45, 41, 21 x 2, 20, 14 & 11. so we have a wide range of age group.
The 3 bedroom appartments are very spacious and well maintained. We had a problem with a lock on one of the bathroom doors, which was repaired the same day.
The pool is very clean and has plenty of room. There are however, only 180 sunbeds between 400 guests! So if you want a sunbed you have to get up early! The pool opens at 9am, when the beds are unlocked, snooze and you lose out! There are beds available on the beach nearby for a fee of 5 euros a day.
The two bars serve breakfast and other meals all day and are reasonable. For better value for money the Optimist Bar and Los Angeles snack bar are an alternative.
After reading comments about the Optimist bar I was shocked! A case of mistaken identity that got out of hand, the staff at this bar work very hard and are most obliging.
on annoyance is the endless stream of Africans trying to sell you sunglasses and CD's.
If you ignore them they soon go away.
Being on the beach you do get guests hanging around after the bars have closed, using the terrace to talk and drink into the early hours, also revellers from the clubs tend to park themselves and talk quite loudly. I only have on piece of advice which worked for me....EAR PLUGS!
We all have differing opinions of what makes a good holiday. some want a bit of quiet, some long drinking sessions and some want to party. San Antonio is the european club capital, if you come to Ibiza looking for a quiet time you must live in a bubble!
chill out and go with the flow!
There were a mixture of families and younger people who were up for fun. It's all a question of tolerance and not letting other people spoil your holiday.
The entertainment is run by Roy & Christine, they are a retired couple. The entertainent is so good that guests from other hotels come over to reserve tables!
Most of the action on the strip is to the right of the hotel. If you have the stamina for a 15 minute walk, turn left and you will find a diamond in the rough called "Jackie Browns". Wonderful food, great value.
Do take a trip to the other side of the bay, a ferry service runs until midnight.
I could go on for hours about this wonderful resort. The only dissapointment was the lak of excursions. There are excursions available in town and in reception.
I Would go back to the Playa Bella in a heartbeat.

Comments:  We have just come home from a week at Playa Bella. I too was nervous about going having read some of the comments left here but I was very pleased with the whole holiday. I have to totally disagree with the negative comments about the entertainment and suitability for familes. I went with my husband and 8 year old son and although the apartments were in a busy area we didnt have drunks coming home and disturbing us. The whole place totally catered for families aswell as couples. The entertainment was great, we started the evening with bingo (which my son loved) with excellent prize money then followed by various acts, all of which were very different and varied. The organisors were great and made every effort to speak to you. My only quibble, hence the 9/10 was that we asked for a wake up call on our last day and it never came but luckilly we woke naturally and didnt miss our flight. Also the Thomas Cook rep would probably be more suited on a 18-30s resort. Our 7 days went so fast and we were all sad to be coming home, I would definetly recommend playa bella to friends and family.

Comments:  ON THE WHOLE THIS HOLIDAY WAS FINE, THE APARTMENTS ALTHOUGH NOT OVERLY SPACIOUS WERE CLEAN, THE MAIDS CAME EVERY 3 DAYS, AND BEDDING AND TOWELS WERE CHANGED REGUARLY, THE BALCONIES WERE SPACIOUS, AND THE APARTMENTS WERE WELL EQUIPPED, THE APARTMENTS ARE IN A GOOD LOCATION, BEING ON THE BEACH FRONT, WITH A WATER TAXI SERVICE NEARBY, THE STAFF ARE OK, NOT OVER FRIENDLY BUT NOT BAD, THATS THE GOOD BITS.
THE DOWN SIDE IS THIS IS NOT A RESORT OR APARTMENTS FOR FAMILIES, IT IS VERY NOISY WITH GROUPS OF YOUNG PEOPLE BEING VERY NOISY AS THEY DO NOT GO OUT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AND COME BACK IN THE EARLY HOURS DRUNK AND ROWDY. WE HAD TO WAIT FOR APARTMENT TO BE READY AND NO ONE KNEW HOW LONG THIS MAY TAKE!!!!!!!!!!, THE SUNBED SITUATION WAS OK AS LONG AS YOU WERE UP FOR 8ISH IN THE MORNING NOT ENOUGH BEDS OR BROLLIES, THE ENTERTAINMENT NEEDS SORTING OUT, AS THE COUPLE WHO RUN IT MAY BE NICE,BUT IT IS BORING AND THE SAME THING DAILY, WHICH IS NOT THAT MUCH ANYWAY . THE WORST PART IS DONT RELY UPON THE FIRST CHOICE REP AS SHE IS USELESS. I HAVE BEEN TO IBIZA BEFORE AND WOULD GO AGAIN BUT DEFINATLEY NOT HERE.

Comments:  Although I have added an overall rating score this is only for the entertainment and I cannot comment on the accommodation as my family and I did not actually stay at these apartments on our recent holiday to Ibiza. Furthermore I have only added the tour operator and board basis as as I could not submit this review without it ( so i did not go with First Choice). We stayed next door at the Hotel Fiesta Milord and although this hotel in itself was excellent the entertainment was poor so we spent most of our time in the Playa Bella apartments who’s entertainment was far superior. The entertainment in this apartment is organised by Roy and Christine who are excellent entertainers and keep the whole family happy with daytime activities such as pool games, mini discos and quizzes as well as nightly Bingo and entertainment packages for all. Thanks to Roy and Christine who were simply perfect.

Comments:  This hotel is advertised as a family hotel, yet is full of groups of teenagers. I was kept awake every night while they all GOT READY to go out at around 2am, then woken every morning when they all arrived home anytime between 5am and 7am. In order to enter the apartments they had to use a buzzer system, which was extremely noisy in the daytime, let alone in the early hours of the morning, when they would usually just keep their fingers on the buzzers until someone let them in. Then the internal phonecalls would start, with the youngsters phoning all the rooms as a wind up! I literally felt ill by the end of the holiday as I was so tired.

Next was the sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool, it was comical watching people hover around at 8.45am , hogging umbrella stands with towels and waiting until the beds and umbrellas were 'released' at 9am and then the insane frenzy of trying to grab as many beds and umbrellas as they could before they ran out. Then, after putting their towels out they all disappeared until much much later and the pool was deserted again apart from a load of towels on beds!

The food was the same everywhere, no variety at all and two of us were ill on seperate occaisions from the food.

Entertainment - well I've never seen entertainment reps like it! They are a married couple aged around 60 (no joke!) who would come down to the pool and whisper "pool polo" - look relieved when nobody heard them and dissappear again! The entertainment in the evening was bingo every night, followed by an OK show, the best being a drag act which was hilarious, but it definately wasn't appropriate for familys with a huge amount of swearing and running through the audience hitting them with a live snake etc.

Finally the good bits, the apartment beds were comfy and the free air con was excellent.

I definately would not go back to Playa Bella or San Antonio Bay again!

Comments:  Just returned from Playa Bella, went with my husband, a 5 year old and a 2 year old! I was a bit worried after reading the last review just before I left and knowing Ibiza is famous for its night life! But I was pleasantly surprised, the apartment was fairly big with two large balconys. I think we were lucky as we weren't kept awake at all from groups of people, it does probably depend on who is your neighbour or in your block. On our last night I was a bit shocked to see on next door balcony a group of about 12 girls, who were a bit noisy but they went out when we went to bed and I didn't hear them come in, although that could of changed if we had stayed longer.

The beach was a bit smelly and a bit rocky to get into the sea easily, but there are plenty of lovely beaches around the area. I liked the pool and so did my children, but as others have said you have to be down by the pool early to get a sunbed and umbrella and even then people will try and nick them! The Bahia restaurant we thought was quite expensive even the ice creams seemed expensive. Infact the whole holiday turned out to be expensive as all the bouncy castles and childrens amusements have to be paid for, it adds up, but overall we had a good holiday and would say it is generally catered for families but of course you could be unlucky and have a noisy bunch next to you!

Comments:  firstly our resort transfer coach broke down 3 times on the way to playa bella. There was no rep on the coach. When we finally got there we were told we would have to wait for our rooms. We had booked a 1 bed apt for myself my partner my 12 year old daughter and our 8mth baby. My other 2 boys had a studio. when told our rooms were ready, we were informed that we had 3 studios. After showing them the booking form they agreed to the mistake and said our room wouldnt be ready for 2 hours! Once in our room we found our air con didnt work and were told as it was sunday it couldnt be repaired until the next day. As we have a baby, my daughter and i slept in the studio whilst my partner and boys were in the hot apt. It was fixed as promised the next day but broke down twice more during the holiday! nice clean accommodation and massive balcony. Definitely not enough sunbeds or brollys round pool. Beach very smelly and very rocky so we walked to playa de torrent about 30 mins away where the beach was lovely. Sunbeds and brollys expensive at 6 euros each! Overall a nice holiday but very expensive for food and drink. We must of spent £2500 without going on any trips. Would visit ibiza again but not san antonio bay.

WE SAW DRUGS DEALT ON THE POOLSIDE, AND HAD LOUD MUSIC AND SHOUTING FROM THE GROUPS FOR THE WHOLE TWO WEEKS. THE HOTEL SAYS THEY WORK ON A 3 STRIKE SYSTEM, BUT NOTHING WAS DONE. ALL OF THE FAMILIES ON MY FLOOR TRIED TO COMPLAIN. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY FAMILIES MISTAKE.

Comments:  The Apts we had no problem with, the family facilities and activities were fantastic, we could not have asked for better, but we would like to ask that no one eats or drinks at the optimist bar which is situated at the centre of the complex due to the fact the trouble they cause my family including my 3 year old daughter, they harrassed us for 2 days saying we had done a runner from their bar, to cut along story short they called the police and i had 8 police guards surround me and my 3 year old whilst my boyfriend had gone for a walk saying if we did not pay 54 euros in 1 hr 30 mins they would seize our passports, i had to find a rep who informed us that my boyfriend would be given a good hiding by the police and to make himself scarce. when he returned from his walk i informed him of the situation and he left. I told the police it was not us but they did not listen, the Manager threatened me telling me to shut up. I ended up getting my credit card and just as i was going to pay for somthing we had not had eaten or drank the man said it was on Euro Cup Final Night, i informed him we only arrived on the 2nd july and was at home in England when this game was on, he ran down to reception to confirm this. Reception did confirm this and he appologised but kept blaming my boyfriend due to the fact he had informed him to call the police, i told him this was English humour but he still kept grabbing hold of me saying it was our fault. I am pleading to all people who stay at this complex not to eat or drink at this bar as they have caused my family so much upset especially my 3 year old who keeps saying dont let the police take you away Mummy and Daddy. There are 2 other restaurantes to eat and drink. Thanks...

Comments:  Myself, husband and daughter have just had a two week holiday staying at the Playa Bella apartments. Everything was lovely the rooms the staff and maid service etc was second to none everybody was very friendly and helpful. One of the best parts of our holiday was the entertainment, Roy and Christine (entertainment organizers) were absolutely brilliant and worked extremely hard to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves - which paid off for us, we never missed a night!!! I must also mention the bar staff who were also brilliant, they were very helpful extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Roy, Christine and the bar staff you made our holiday a memorable one (the photographs are brilliant) we will be back!

Comments:  We found these apartments very convenient for all amenities the entertainment was very good and the location right on the beach was brilliant. The maid came in three days a week and the apartments were clean. The hotels two restaurants were good value for money. The water taxi just a short walk from the hotel at the back by the beach was great for getting to san antonio town. The only thing I would moan about was the lack of umbrellas around the pool. Considering the size of the Playa Bella there were only 18 umbrellas. Also you had to be up very early to get a sunbed as people would just leave towels on them and then not come back to the beds until the afternoon!
All in all I would recommend these apartments.
