Hotel was clean and tidy although lacks real character - definitely more like a Travelodge than a Hilton. Staff were attentive and polite. Beware of the sliding price scales. A colleague booked his room for £88 per night but mine, booked a few hours later, cost £103. I... more

Milton Keynes is a nightmare to drive around - more roundabouts than the whole of UK here. Confusing road signs as well. Hotel was clean and comfortable although gave me the impression it was more like a Travelodge than a Hilton. Staff attentive, polite and friendly. Went... more

Standard business hotel
My wife and I stayed there on a Saturday night in July on a weekend deal booked online for 60 quid. After a long check-in (only 1 member of staff on) the room was fine, quiet and everything worked. The staff at the drink and snack bar were not the brightest and seemed to struggle with the language. Breakfast was mediocre but OK. We did not eat in the restauarant. The biggest shock was what they wanted to charge for Internet access - £25 for 24 hours! How can that be justified and if it is free at so called budget hotels, why not here?... more
Just awful
Having read some of the other reviews regarding MK Hilton, I feel I have to tell about my own horror story from last September. My father passed away last August, and as my brothers live within the Milton Keynes area, my mother and I booked in on one of their £99 deals - 2 night B&B, for a much needed break. We had requested a ground floor room near the entrance as my mum had previously fractured 4 bones in her foot, and developed a clot, so found walking difficult. We were given a booking code, which the reservationist admitted... more
poor service.. rude staff
We booked 4 rooms, 3 standard and one deluxe, for a wedding in the area. Our booking was 6months in advanced and inc. breakfast. On check in we were told breakfast would be an extra £16 per person. The duty manager was very rude and refused to budge. He practically accused us of lying about the booking inc breakfast. The rooms were small and dingey, and the deluxe room was no diff. from the standard, other than having a sofa bed. The showers were v poor... worst i've seen in any uk branded hotel. The mini bars had been... more
Total rip-off!!!
Never ever will I stay in this run down hotel again!!! Spent two days there in March at a rate of 188,- GBP B&B rate which was the cheapest they could offer. Not only is Milton Keynes one of the uninteresting places in the whole world and if business takes you there you are unlucky enough, but if you then choose to stay at the Hilton Milton Keynes it could be one of the worst business trips you have ever experienced. The rooms are small and the bathroom amenities are mediocre. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and has nothing... more
Good Value for money
To be honest we paid like £110 for two nights, and got dinner free on the first night and buffet breakfast included. If you go anywhere and have a nice 3 course meal and full breakfast, its gonna cost at least £70. Also we got unlimited access to the livingwell and a nice double room with en suite bathroom. I think those people who complain are really dumb and should stay in a hotel in London paying £300 a night if they want the real deal. All in all the staff were nice and friendly, and dinner was good, breakfast is... more
Most enjoyable stay
We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend at the end of October and, having read the reports on this site after I made the booking, we were somewhat concerned as to what we might find. As it turned out we had nothing to worry about, the staff were very courteous and helpful at all times. The room was spacious, well provisioned, very clean and reasonably quite. Breakfast was based on a well provisioned hot and cold buffet, and of a very good standard. We also had a meal in the restaurant one night and although the menu lacked... more
Terrible stay in July
We had a girls reunion which we had all been looking foward too. However we did not enjoy our stay at all. The rooms were ok but that is all I could stay. When eating lunch at a hotel you do expect to pay more than in a cafe or deli, however you do expect value for money. My sandwich was a small role with a side salad of lettuce, beware! The evening meal, was not much better price wise and for value for money. The starters and main courses came at different times,. some cold and not worth the money. The woman in charge during the... more
Leisure Facilities - Ha ha!
Once we found the hotel from the very vague directions provided and after going round in circles for a while, we checked in. The Reception area was nice and the Receptionist very helpful. On walking to our rooms, it became apparant that the hotel had been left untouched decoratively since it was built. Our room was stuffy and hot for most of the night, however, our beds were clean and comfortable. The shower, if you could call it that, trickled water and was not very effective. The window was so dirty, we couldn't see... more
Wait for the refurbishment - if it ever comes!
I've stayed at this Hilton twice within the last year. There is plenty of free parking, once you have located the hotel. Even with a detailed map we got hopelessly lost trying to locate it. The Reception Area is modern and pleasant but, as you progress to the rooms, the hotel becomes more shabby. The lifts and corridors smell musty. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Furniture is falling apart, towels and soft furnishings are badly worn and stained. I stayed there in March 2004 and returned in January 2005. After... more
