We arrived on the 24th May 2008, and checked in, this was a complete farce we had to fill form out then another one then another one bearing in mind that we had been up from 2am that morning. The lobby looked clean so we smiled and went to our rooms which were roomy and clean, and thats the last good thing to say......
Went for breakfast the food was cold crap and all foreign, so we had coffee and went to the pool, the "entertainment" was in Italian, the music was Italian and the guest were all Italian.....so we went to the beach, which was ok..
The evening we thought we have to try the food, so off we go to the Italian cattle market and as we thought all catered for Italians, there was cold pizza, cold pasta, some sought of sausage which again was cold, chips cold, and salad...my partner ordered drinks which i got a bottle of water and had to pay, but the family next to me who was Italian recieved a jug of water FREE?? I was really miffed at this point, complained to the guys at reception - shouldnt have bothered because they just looked at me.
The brochure stated that this hotel was 5min away from the centre - LIE its about 15mins walk....
The weather was rubbish, and to top this hoilday off the resort is rubbish, nothing to do especially if you have a young family.
Am really disappointed with Thomas Cook for advertising this in there brochure, and the sales girl who sold it to us, I WONT be going with Thomas Cook again, i'll be sticking with Thomson's.

This is a beautiful hotel set very close to the beach. The rooms are large and airy and nicely furnished with really comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Our room overlooked the pool and beach, the other side of the hotel is not such a good view, so bear that in mind when you book.
The restaurant was again large and airy and we thought the food was first class, with omelettes freshly cooked to order in the morning and also meat cooked in front of you at dinner.
This hotel is sold mainly to Italian guests and the onsite reps are Italian and do not bother with the English guests at all but this did not bother us but I would imagine it would be annoying in the summer when the hotel is full.
There is the sister hotel the Goleta next door which Carabelas guests can use which is lovely as well and is more geared to English guests and has better entertainment at night.
The resort is not the best we have stayed at with few shops although Ibiza town is only a short taxi ride away and has some beautiful shops-take your credit card!!
Go to the Three Monkeys bar in Playa den Bossa for a very warm welcome from Frank and Carol and good entertainment, also Big Bens for good tribute bands.
We really enjoyed our holiday and the weather was superb, hotel superb but the resort itself could do with being finished! There is a lot of building work going on although this did not bother us.

This 4 star hotel is geared mainly for the Italians, all entertainment in Italian, food very much to their tastes. Very good position right on the beach with water taxi to Ibiza town and Hippy market there.
TV in the room had only BBC World as an English channel listed, but there was a Spanish channel on that spot, talked to reception and they replaced it and also added Sky news.
Room quite spacious, and ask for a room with pool view on a high floor and you get an amazing view of the med,
Food quality quite good, but as I said very much for the Italian taste with lots of choices of pasta dishes, along with a carvery, and very few veg. Good salad bar and as it was early season not many sweets to choose from.
Staff extremely friendly, and hotel its self immaculate, 10 minute walk into the main area of Playa den Bossa, and 10 minutes on Bus into Ibiza town, Taxi from Airport about 10 Euros - Taxi back to Airport 12 Euros!! - Taxi from Ibiza town at midnight back to Hotel 6 Euros.

This is a beautiful hotel with...

This is a beautiful hotel with pleasant surroundings (if you overlook the pool area). We were not and faced 2 hotels in the early stages of the build. Whilst we were there a car park was also being prepared which started at about 8.00am and caused a lot of noise. The rooms are serviced very well being very clean and spacious.
The dining facilities started off not so good but got better through the week but in all fairness it was the Italian World Cup win night and this was probably the cause. Please be aware that in this hotel there is an All Inclusive facility which is not offered to everyone and being British we were not offered this service by our tour operator (Direct Travel) - you were made to feel slightly second class as All Inclusive visitors were offered free drinks on arrival and on entrance to the evening meal - this consisted of mostly Italian visitors.
On arrival we were made to wait over an hour for our room to be cleaned and prepared. This became apparent when we were finally given our key only to find that we had to wait a further 15 mins outside the room for the cleaner to finish. No explanation as to our wait was given by reception and the rep admitted that this was a regular complaint.
The rep from Direct Holidays was not very good - she complained that not enough people completed the survey forms before leaving but failed to give them out anyway! When we commented about the building work she said that she only stayed across the road and had not noticed any activity! We noticed in the taxi on arrival! She also said that to wait over 1 hour to get into the room should be expected - this I have never come across before and I have been to many places over the years with varied arrival times.
The resort is very pleasant - being a parent of a young child I was concerned about the Ibiza nightclub culture but I can honestly say that we came across the clubs but never heard them. The bars closed at around 1.00am and we never noticed any trouble. It is a resort that varies in class and ages. The water park was disappointing as it was a lot smaller that ones previously visited - it is 15 mins walk from the hotel - don't book with your rep as 18 euros for an adult and 10 for a child is the price to get in but the rep was asking for 35 euros per adult and about 20 for a child - we paid 7 in a taxi getting there and for the 3 of us 3.60 on a bus returning just outside the hotel!
Ibiza town is amazing and full of culture and again only costs 1.20 each on bus - just behind the hotel is the water taxi which costs about 15 euros return and is a cooler and more comfortable mode of transport.
The rating of 7 out of 10 is given as the rep was unhelpful and the food could have been better but overall not a bad holiday!
