Isrotel Royal Beach Hotel

We stayed for 2 weeks over the Christmas New Year period with our 3 children. Last year we stayed at the Dan and found it overwhelmingly busy with over stretched staff. We chose the Royal beach thinking it would be better but unfortunately this was not the case. First impressions were not very positive, off hand reception staff and no one to direct us to the lifts and on entering our rooms no one to show us were the light switches or safe were. Main Comments: beautiful hotel with good service but somewhat overpriced and arrogant in its approach to standard guests. Room service – very poor selection. We have been staying at the Royal Beach for the last ten years, sometimes we come twice a year, but it has only been in the last two to three years that the management finally twigged that we were customers worth being nice to. Royal Beach Eilat is with out doubt the best hotel in Eilat. I have stayed in quite a few 5 star hotels in Eilat over the last 8 years including the Herrods and none of them come close. The location is fantastic, very central to all the restaurants shops etc. They also have a private beach which is handy as the public beach does get quite congested. Breakfast is amazing! Although TripAdvisor lists this hotel as 3 stars, it is a 5-star hotel (along with the Dan, Herods and the Hilton). There is nothing that those other hotels offer that the Royal Beach does not. The rooms, pool, public space and food are all as good as those other hotels. That being said, I found the breakfast to be someone less abundant than in the other 3 leading hotels. The Royal Beach Hotel was wonderful. We stayed in one of the club rooms, which was well appointed, and had a priceless view. The club room gave us access to the Royal Beach Hotel Club, where we could help ourselves to breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. The terraced pool area, with plenty of shade was well designed; guests never felt crowded. My wife and I , along with my mother in law, went to the Royal beach for a week with Superstar Holidays the holiday arm of El Al airways. We flew El Al, and apart from the necessity to leave home at 4.30 in the morning (couldn't they make the flight a bit later in the morning) we found check in and boarding to be no hassle. My mother in law needed wheel chair assistance and this was all laid on, no problem right onto the plane. Flight crew were excellent, attentive, everything as good as you could expect. I love this hotel. Other expensive Las Vegas-style hotels have sprung up in Eilat recently but none are as classy and comfortable as the Royal Beach. This hotel competes with the finest anywhere. It has a wonderful locaton, on the beach, with stunning views in every direction. The hotel is in walking distance from almost everything. The restaurants are excellent-- my favorite being the steakhouse. I reccomend splurging for the Royal Rooms which gives access daily to a beautiful hospitality guesthouse by the pool.

Stayed in this hotel for a week and couldn't fault it! Well the only thing I'd say is that the pool areas is surprisingly small for such a huge hotel. The food is great - all the restaurants are top class - particularly the steakhouse and chinese. All the rooms were being refurbished as we were there - and on complaining about the noise we received a reduced price for one room. Any repairs were done quickly and with no fuss. The bar is beautiful for night time entertainment - and it's in the middle of everywhere! What more could you want..

This is a fantastic hotel!! Rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated, Great restaurants - particularly the Ranch House which serves lovely steaks. It is well located and easy to walk around to all the shops, restaurants and other hotels should you want to explore! Lovely pool area also with plenty of shade if you want it. I would definitely recommend this hotel
