Dreadful experience
One of the worst hotel experiences ever. Mattresses left in the hallway. Used trays from room service left out for more than 24 hours. A/C wasn't working. TV not working. Expensive internet. Pebble beach- no sand. Poor service. Dining room chaos resembles a university cafeteria.
Hated this hotel
This hotel is like staying in a hotel six in the states. The public areas are ok but the rooms are in big time need of renovating. We paid $240 a night and expected a nice place. were we disappointed. Wish we had stayed at the Dan Eilat
Happy to find this place
I am here now. We found this through this website and then went direct. The price is great $144 per night. From what I understand it was one of the first hotels. It has either been renovated or has "stood the test of time"..the lobby is very nice with no complaints. The room is neat, clean, well appointed with all amenities. It has a beach area that I think is private or ?. But in any case there are lounge chairs for your exclusive use., pool, restaurant etc, all the things you need if you don't want to leave the hotel including... more
very good
my wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. good location, nice rooms, accomodating staff
Excellent
We stayed there last year and this year we have changed the hotel. The Sheraton Moriah Hotel is in a great position and has everything you want: two beautiful pools, a video room, a restaurant...The rooms are very clean and the service is very good. The prices for all that are the best thing: it isn't expensive! One of the best Hotels!
Pretty good
The Sheraton Eilat was the best hotel we stayed at in Israel. It is a little older, and like all the other hotels, the "king" bed is two twins pushed together. The pool was very nice, as was the staff. One note: this is a bad hotel for light sleepers. The fun in Eilat goes on quite late, and you can hear music from the hotel rooms quite clearly.
Needs serious renovation and sound proof improvements
Israeli like noise, and the "boardwalk" in front of the Sheraton is Eilat noisiest place with load music from surrounding beach bars/shops/discos (day but mostly between 10pm and 4am at night). First night we were "upgrated" to a junior suite in the old building. The view on the sea was fantastic, the room large and bed very very confortable. But the rest of the room greatly need renovation. The "bad surprise" started at 10pm, the room became an annex of two discos on the beachfront and till 4am we had loud music within the room... more
Not like Sheratons back home
This hotel looks great on the outside. The lobby is very nice and there is easy access to a beautiful pool and to the beach. The hotel is well located and near the airport, the shopping mall and the "boardwalk." The rooms are rather shabby. The carpets are badly worn. The beds, however, were comfortable and the air conditioning was effective against the 100 degree F temps during our July stay. I was surprised that the only soap in the bathrooms was the wall mounted soap/shampoo dispensers that you'll find at a Red Roof or Motel 6. We... more
Worst Starwoods Property I've Stayed At
One expects a certain standard of quality from Sheraton and the Starwoods Hotels Group, so be warned that this hotel is probably one of the worst Starwoods properties that you'll come across. The front desk staff are unbelievably unfriendly (they're probably overworked), the hotel is in need of renovation (beware of mold in bathroom), and the noise from the lobby (loud music) and the number of children running around in the halls make this a maddening experience. If you're like me and generally like to stay at Starwood hotels, consider Le... more
Very good value
Spent one week here. 10 days would do it more justice as 2 days are wasted either end travelling. Free upgrade to half board, so buffet dinner included (had option to switch to lunch). Free afternoon teas. This hotel attracted older guests and was too busy over the weekends in the dining rooms. There were alsways spaces around the pools and on beach. It is well located, but downside is that it is noisy with load music from surrounding beach bars/shops (day and night). The rooms are clean and the staff friendly. Had a room in west wing (which... more
